  6. dolls are their own special category. You can think of them as a hittable object that is throw immune, like Rachel's George XIII and persona attacks in P4U
  7. yes, 5B feint is in the game. Hold B until Mitsuru lands from her hop and input the next attack. You can cancel into: -another 5B (can not feint this one) -Sweep / Sweep feint -All out attack -Throw -Coup Droit -Tentarafoo -5D there might be more, but that's all i've seen/experienced so far

  9. even with taht, i don't see how jin's 6D would be dangerous; the opponent automatically breaks free from teh ice on trade, so i don't think there's much combo potential off that. I guess it might be good to continue pressure?
  10. i don't recall jin 6D having guaranteed startup in the past games and i still don't believe it now haha. do you have a video of it in action?

  13. i basically agree with mac, it's too difficult to pin down EXACTLY what's to be discussed. and we'll ahve to use our best judgement. I'm reminded of the phrase I know it when I see it. there are many ways this topic can become toxic without resorting to insults. netplay general had issues, bb general had issues in teh past (yes we used to have one). if you don't remember how bad those threads got, then you lack perspective. In effect this thread is a bb general, but we have to resteer the conversation every once in a while. if you have a better solution, please let me know. hint: no moderation is not a solution

  15. i've been slowly remaking the sprites for all the characters since the old ones look kinda bad now imo. say hi to the new ones (yes, i know some look almost unchanged like tao)

  18. i vaguely recall mike z saying tension pulse is gone. meter gain is still significantly slowed for a while after using RCs, FD, etc. just like the old games.
  19. yeah, 22C safe jump didn't seem to exist there. however, i suspect it's still possible if you use 22C when they're really high off the ground, like above jin's head

  21. anyone see 22C fatal? maybe with fatal, you can link 214B ~ C into 2B on standing opponents. or the return of the simpler j.2C > j.C loop
  22. yeah, i think some attacks just give a preset amount of meter like hte last normal attack in auto combos
  23. i don't mind people saying they're hype for characters, i do mind people derailing this thread thinking up gameplay styles for a non-playable-character, and making this thread useless for its intended purpose. if you want to hold a conversation with the fluidity of an actual conversation, forum threads are a poor place to do it. do it in the chat room (i bought it specifically for that purpose!), or do it on twitter or other social media. we don't have the manpower to moderate everything constantly, so instead we try to keep each thread on a very specific topic perhaps a general "hype" thread could work, but what usually happens is one thread gets all the attention and becomes the single dumping ground for news as well...

Talk about the demo, talk about xrd related events like tournaments and announcements talk about teh actual game and not some hypothetical character that isn't even guaranteed to be playable in the goddamn game. Don't bring up stuff taht would look at home on gamefaqs. I don't mind the occasional comment about stuff like Leo, but ALMOST EVERY TIME a rumored/fan favorite character gets brought up, it derails the entire thread. Look at the posts before, there have been around 10 posts about Leo's hypothetical playstyle involving books and throws. Same with gossip-y stuff "Oh I love Sol/Ky, I main him because he looks soooooo cool."
