yeah I've been trying that... depending on distance I wind up having to do 766 instead of 96.... and I suck at doing airdash>JB crossups.... but yeah, that should work.... unless they have DP.... christ... Jin's frame traps suck.... how is dead spike a better frame trap than 2D?..... makes me sad.

hey, what's a good follow for 2D? 5C isn't very effective.... and what's a good frame trap off 2D?

A DP has no invinciblity.... but it's really fast but B DP is a big part of his corner combo (aka his only good one) you know what's better then them landing behind you? hitting them any way lol. but seriously... it sucks when that happens.

lol I'm well aware how good 623D is, it's save my ass several times.... though not from black onslaught. anyways, I meant how only 2 of his DP's aren't terrible... though it's funny to watch the enemies life go away very quickly off of a double hirensou loop.

no, you know he needs a DP? Jin.... I'd trade 623A and 623C for a fucking half a sandwhich. EDIT: actually you can have the DP's if I get a 3.5K command grab and air command grab that I can RC for 5K.

this.... Ragna is closer to where Jin was in CT, he's even or better over most of the cast and is one of the only characters who can effectively face the S tier without getting destroyed, but has enough weaknesses to not just be some nuisance... you can feel a distinct difference in hope level when fighting Ragna compared to Litchi, Bang. Ragna feels beatable if you fight hard enough, Bang feels like a if I try my hardest I may get him 50%, and Litchi is a FUCKITIQUIT!!!!

personally, I run the fuck away from Ragna and throw swords at him..... his pokes are just to gdlk to deal with.... as for aa's.... 623A/B.... and....uh....JC, JC is your only real way to beat him in the air. 5B and 5C could work with the right spacing. Ragna's a pain in the ass to fight

missed a lot of hit confirms off 5C CH, saw too much of 5C>2D (I do that too much too) where it shouldn't be.... and don't worry about that astral..... my 623D got beat by it.....

Hazama is rather annoying, getting in is the biggest problem. ice swords are essentially out, and keeping pressure is tough since he can just spiderman his way out..... 2D is a risky move since, unlike a lot of characters with projectiles, his are fast.... touga hyoujin is your friend in this matchup.... however he can counter it with his auto combo DD. if you get him in the corner, like all characters, things get alot easier, 6D can be used to bait escapes.... but it's obviously risky. overall it's more of a odd matchup, you have to play a lot different than most characters, and if you can't, then it's hell. -
thank you, that means alot to me, especially from you. actually, I rarely run into Ragna's that use 2C, but when they do... it's a high reward with no real risk, if they don't hit you they're still at +1, if they do hit.... you can eat up to 6K..... and if they have 50 heat.....

touga hyoujin......and.....JC....DP's...and...uh....not much else, it's hard to start and maintain pressure, and long range is no contest. It's more annoying than difficult imo. -
+1 on block.... compared to... say, 17 startup and -10 on block. it's not a good normal, but it's a great FC. one of the fastest FC's (second to Jayoku and falling fang) and the safest.

that things is so dumb, full/most screen punish that comes out immediately after super flash, so if you weren't blocking already you're S.O.L. That's like of they took touga hyoujin and made it not suck.

Ragna just needs a tone down, his damage is fine, but the fact that it can be facerolled is rather bad, BE needs a recovery and meter gain nerf, however it prorates like a motherfucker, wo maybe give it a follow up (for symmetry sake), or some other minor buff so that it isn't useless, 2C is way to good of a normal to be an FC, so nerf that, buff carnage scissors, make it overall harder to get that ridiculous 4K meterless, and remove that 5-6K meterless. Ragna overall isn't super over powered, just a couple light tone downs. alternatively, most of the characters need to adjust to the new system, Ragna, Bang, and Litchi got the good side, but Ragna is probably the only of the three that shows how the characters should be in this new system, so if the other characters adapt to this system, I see Ragna not being so OP and the other 2 more managable.

the one I wind up hitting the most with is: 5C (ch)>6C>6D>6C>6D>623D>6C>214C ~4K though I should add B fubuki between the 6C>6D's.

yeah, I had to re-learn Jin.... apparantly I had no idea what I was doing.... though thankfully Jin's not hard to learn and leaves few impressions in terms of style.... except methodically pressing 214B at the end of combos and my sub (lolRagnalol) isn't hard to learn, though learning Hazama is rather odd (mostly mobility wise) and Haku is just for when I want lulz and troll friends....

tager is sort of a template to show players what they're doing wrong (like ladon said) careless projectile? spark bolt/sledge bad teching? 360/720 bad reversal...ing? 360/720 Tager essentially capitalizes on (very common) mistakes that all players make (atleast at some point), unlike many characters who punish you for it, he destroys you. However, he's far from perfect, he's slow, and can't really do much overall in a neutral situation.... I bet if you were to watch a match of you vs Tager, you would facepalm at the mistakes you made, I know whenever I tech in a bad situation I think "oh shit, shouldn't have done that" and then I eat a 720.... you just have to learn from you mistakes/*another generic cliche* EDIT: oh look ninja'd by three people........ must type faster

to be fair, it does stuff all other projectiles.... but you shouldn't be using projectiles when he has it, just fake him out and make him use it, then he can't use it for the rest of the round. yeah, remember Jin's beastly 5C>JB combo? it doesn't work anymore.... except on tager.... and you can do 5C>JB>J2C>JC>5C>JB>......yeah.........

don't be so down on your self, you did great, far better than my "use fubuki/hirensou as poke" Jin. You handled both Tao and Hakumen very well, and those are rather.... annoying matchups.

Tager's not unfair on casuals.... he's unfair to nubs. he can't do anything against you at a range, until spark bolt. sure he has sledge, but you shouldn't be using projectiles at such a close range (except Jin, whose drive is projectiles), and he's whiffing it.... which isn't good for him. he has spark bolt, beats projectiles, don't use them when he has it. his magnets aren't that strong (except in air, but a good ATG will beat most any draw-in attacks) .....he's basically a walking hitbox, though it's better now, he's a walking hitbox that can fight. Not to say he's bad.... but he sure as hell isn't overpowered.
