  1. okay, so you are doing a pressure string and want to catch the enemy what do you do? maybe I can make them think they can get out, when they really can't. That's what a frame trap is, a false opening. Or atleast that's how I understand it. You use some frame math to create a moment where they think they have enough time to get out, but they can't. Sort of like baiting an escape attempt. EDIT: yep checked the definition, a frame trap is baiting an escape.
  2. you can't outzone Lambda. ever. but she also can't fight you at close range (not very well anyway) as long as you can get in you're fine..... The toughest thing is probably the approach, you can't ice sword cover down like alot of characters, and her swords fuck with your movement..... but if you dodge them with some well placed jumps and dashes....yeah.... not too sure what else to say.
  3. there're a couple ways: have a reversal or punish the shit out of them, the reason people do a late cancel is to bait an attack and score a counter, but from a frame standpoint this is a bad idea. If you do an attack that's -5 with 10 recovery, and late cancel 5 frames into recovery (0 on block) with something with 15 startup.... you went from -5 to -15.... if you see them doing this and they get too predictable, hit them. I'd be worried about characters like Ragna who can 5C>2C which is a +1 S-cancel attack with FC, if they late gatling with that..... the risk is very high considering he can do 5K meterless off an FC. Even if they don't late cancel it's scary.
  4. agreed, we need a gatling chart, I know a lot of them, but you never know I doubt JC can be corner looped.... it's hitbox it a bit too narrow... all I can think of off the top of my head though (I thought of hilarious Ky stuff) was 5C>IADJCxN... but it's possible that you can do some juggles or something.

  6. I believe his eye changed do to becoming part vampire.... as far as pictures....... there's a few of Ragna and Saya..... but none of either with Jin. Jin had his wierd crazy moment when talking to V-13, where he says brother's looking for her. Beyond that.... well.... not much.

  9. wow sous is salty. anyways, there really haven't been any major combos recently, I think the newest I seen is the J2C>JD>AD>JC>J2C>5B>2B>5C>3C>oki. also remembered something about linking 623D>6C, you can do 623D>5C>6C, it sounds wierd, but you can do it, as long as they're sliding.... lol sliding hitbox. also a dumb question I really should know the answer to, but I completely forgot the air combo... it's JC>J2C>J2C>(JD)>ice car right? I forgot if there's a JB.... EDIT: yep found it. JC>J2C>J2C>ice car.
  10. yes, in the case of Jin's 5A>6B jin's 5A is 9 recovery, and 6B has 25 start up, so you have 16 frames to react. so that's a bad example. but if he lands 6B (+3 on block with 14 recovery) and cancels into J236C which has 18 start up you have about 1 frame to do something. basically cancelling the attack changes the static difference (advantage on block), it can create an illusion of being able to get out, or can create the illusion that you can't. EDIT: also think of mist cancelling where you cancel recovery of an attack by going into the mist stance, cancelling and doing something else. but this is more pressure (mixups lazy brother) than mixup
  11. 214PxN eh, his AC FRC's are easy.... that's about it, super jumping for practically all his air combos, charge save, gun blaze charge save (lolbuttonpriorities), managing 2 meters, low range, jump install.... too tough.
  12. yes those are the best options since 5D is shit and JD won't link you should be able to link 623D>6C many times.... mostly because untechable time decreases not hitstun, though it probably depends on the attack, 8 hit sekka (afaik) causes less decrease in untechable time, than say... 8 5A's. you should go for 623B in the corner (not as a starter, that shit prorates bad) because p2 is like 94 and the damage is high. if you see people doing 6D>6D it generally means they don't have alot of heat (not enough to do corner combo) so they do: 6D>6D>5B>5C>3C>236C or some other oki setup. if you did the 6C>6Dx2 than you can't oki since they're in the air.

  14. you have 77 frames to connect, just be close, alot of the time you want to move forward, but you don't. just keep trying, don't wait till you think it's done, the game re-inputs the button 5 times so as long as you're close it should still come out. if it's still to hard, then link 2B
  15. oh right, I just remember going to training and spending forever on combos...... now I remember standing there in actual trying to figure out what I should be doing at that moment.
  16. the hardest part of Johnny, imo, is combos and setups. They're not very universal, they're very dependant on distance (more so than alot of characters) they require strict timing, and then you have to set them up..... coins, mist, enkasu uses, while not hard, are irritating to do. but other than that he's not that difficult (atleast on the offense game).

  21. on SJ? probably, I mean you can jump again, so I don't see why not. I've seen a couple ice sword>airdash pressure strings.
