as far as mix up goes.... Jin needs some.... 6A is lulz-ingly bad so his only standing overhead is really, really bad, so his mixup relies on crossups: like JB (which was nerfed) and crossup J236D/B. Jin has to rely on pressuring the opponent, 236D is nice for pressure but.... meh.... actually... does anyone in BB have good mixup?

mixup isn't just high low.... if that were so Jin would have F tier level mixup, mixup is high/low PLUS crossup, tick throw, anything to get the opponent not guarding. High/low is the basic form, but things like (for jin) IAD j236D is a good mixup to confuse your opponent, Ragna though.... he got some tick throw setups (dash cancel is like tick throws for dummies:kitty: [still not that effective and very predictable]) he can crossup with GH but..... why bother? recovery's pretty bad.... I just checked his frame data (thanks shtkn) and he has a lot for unsafe (in varying degrees) DS is the only safe one (and 2C but barely), but his pressure is practically mind games, it looks very intimidating, even if you can get out, you hesitate to think about the risk, and the chance is gone (of course if they did HF.... they better pray you mess up).

tiers are relative to the game; AC is fairly balanced, and the characters are generally close in ability, some are more capable (Eddie) and some less so (Johnny), and yet does Johnny lose every match? no. Does Eddie win every mat-...... to say that the tier is the defining characteristic of a character that will determine if they win, is not quite accurate. For example Baiken (who was hightier) has a (arguably) bad matchup against Sol, is Sol higher tier? no. Potemkin has a bad matchup against Bridget, is Bridget higher tier? no. a tier is a representation of the cast in terms of general advantage, however not every top tier has a great advantage against everyone, a high tier is just more likely to have a good matchup if your opponent chooses random on the character selection screen. Also anti-high tier mindsets are pretty stupid too, if that character's hightier and you're winning and are satisfied with your character don't let people shit talk about how "u use hightier becuz u got no skillz".

that statement reminds me of how EVERY single time I do 623D on my brother he bursts before the 2nd hit, it's obnoxious, makes me waste heat, and he still dies in in 2 more seconds.

Ragna's a pressure guy, not a mixup guy; he can pressure you all day, why use mixup? your opponent is in more of a hurry to get out, if you get inpatient GH>RC (because you have the heat) or 6B>3C will work and keep the enemy scared... he doesn't need to have great mixup to kill them, he'll catch you when you try to escape.... though quite a few of his moves are unsafe, and keeping that pressure is tough....

actually in a clutch situation the individual matchup matters more than the tier, if a low tier has a favorable match up against the top tier, then the match the tier is irrelevant. Tiers only really matter as a show of relative ability and tools, the matchups are more important. Also remember that a matchup is 6-4, 7-3, and 5.5-4.5 for a reason, it means that there's the (fairly high) chance of victory, not a 1 sided rape fest one thinks of for a "bad" matchup.

Buppa pulls off so many of Ressengas because under pressure most sane people play it safe, it breaks down in steps: you're in block stun you see the attack have to react now you have to attack with something with the proper range and frames this scares most people from attacking on good pressure I disagree and say Buppa does Jayoku better.... maybe because he does it alot(xN) for offense more than defense and it's so sexy:kitty:

you need to watch Buppa fight.... it's sexy and scary...

I thought his other advantage was that at close range he's more competent than Rachael, he can still do spiderman shennanigans even if his chains are hit by the cannon.... though Rachael can still zone in proportion to Hazama's ability to get in, so it balances eachother.... or something:psyduck:

Vs BB which has a certain outlying low tier...

Hakumen has some really nice reversals... assuming your the oracle of delphi, and can time it right and know when the opponents attacking.... or you're fighting a spammer. I digress. some reversals are nice (besides 623D and Hakumens [ymmv]) like INFERNODIVIDER and blood kain (ymmv).
