  1. Galileo can be the king for now, but shounen is coming for his crown. No one lives up to shounen, he's like the tsujikawa of tao, he can't be imitated.
  2. doesn't sound to difficult given your experience.
  3. I tried to think of something new to add to the drill maintenance section but it didn't work out so well. Not that I can't but... We really need this damn game. There are a lot of things I wanted to test before saying it even as a theory. In general though, drill works like this. Drill can be charged by either using d or hariken stance. 6d and hariken stance are the fastest way to charge. Using the d or Hariken stance will stop the drill from decreasing for roughly a second. Each drill attack does a certain amount of minimum damage. Each level (up to level 3) increases minimum damage by a set amount (this probably relates heavily to the chip damage) Unfortunately for drill maintenance this means we're either going to have to whiff d's, vulnerable hariken stance or keep momentum. I was thinking about hariken stance though. Could it be used like tsubaki's charge system where we give up oki. 6d is very good but the risk of trying to use it even on oki without a setup is rather large In regards to the jb ja mixup, I suppose that could work but seems more like a shenanigan than an actual mixup. Because, it may work the first time, and there are enough options to mixup
  4. sweet. l could try to add some input. somehow full of the need to work and think right now
  5. Ggs to my room. Time for bed
  6. l mean like a j.1d. something that involves ignis
  7. seems like there's some weird hitstop on the 2nd hit of itsuu, or just more recovery. as far as the combo goes, it seems to start the same way as in cse. btw, d is held for the max duration
  8. I won,10-2. The MVP was definitely lag spike.
  9. you do random shit into chun or just raw chun against me. also, these strings work from 5a and 2a, and well as any time youre allowed to reset the situation (be it jump, staff launch, staggered normal, etc), the latter reason being why its strong to begin with.
  10. whatever into (delay) 5c/2c to get them to block and then go for a mixup. you cant just get them to block only to still lose via timeout.
  11. ggs dwb. relius needs something that hits under/behind him while he's in the air... why is bel lafino so bad
  12. oh, in terms of staff pressure its essentially the same. you can pressure from farther away now, but reward here is rather weak when talking about mixups. because of the reach of her moves, the rather large rewards on ch, and the threat of setting the staff, your foe still needs to choose wisely (and really just look out for throw/staff set/crossup j.2d).
  13. the most basic of her blockstring is either a high, a low, a throw, a anti-twitch, or a frame trap. launching staff is to reset pressure and make it stronger (or weaker, depening on the situation). if staff is returning, it will cover backdashes, serves as a psuedo OS against dp's/pressure reset tool. most basic mixup is (5b) 6a/2b/6bf throw/2c/delay 5c. litchi pretty much covers everything most people can do, its all about using the right move at the right time the beautiful thing about basic shit is, its all you usually need until you get to the top players. then you need to be doing the advanced shit.
  14. pumpkin >>>> noel. if you know how to deal with optic barrel, and can react to her running speed you should be fine
  15. its all fun and games till someone gets astral'd ggs everyone in my room
  16. that's cool. wouldn't want you dropping combos rofl.
  17. we can play friday afternoon, that should be fine. so right now, neither one of us particularly cares about being streamed, but do you prefer it not be streamed? someone may volunteer.
  18. l may not be able to make this after all. too much irl shit to deal with.
  19. the damage in OD looks really good and rather simple. not entirely sure of OD combo routes yet, but ...(stuff) 214a 214b 214c works in OD and does a solid chunk. because relius does not need the corner or ignis as much to damage (via gad leis), it kinda lessens the significance of OD's damage/corner carry. unless it is possible to convert standing or ad lib combos, there probably still wont be many OD combos in matches. it would probably be best in pressure as you said and this is likely where OD will be most used.
  20. that noel was pretty bad. likewise, the rachel player is ok. he has potential, in fact.
  21. someone ft10 my relius before ECT.
  22. @j.a: yeah, it's looking rather limited right now. l had a few ideas last night like ...j.a 5a (5a is+3 and only hits standing) and stuff like ...(hariken blocked) fabhop low j.a/throw whiff 2b or something. on paper it looks easy to block and you get a standing combo at best. u.u @drill, l agree with your thought of it being more of a neutral tool and probably doesn't need a huge breakdown here. however because it does play a large part in pretty much all aspects of his game and a part of his unorothodox mixups, it may be beneficial to know the most optimal way to get it, keep it, or stall it (for those extended strings). yes, switching the tools used to pressure would be ideal; the goal of the small maintenance section would attempt to explain what to use and why that string may be optimal when it wasn't a few seconds ago.
  23. great work, my only issue with this will probably be moot once the game is player outside jp. level 3 attacks are still 16f blockstun correct? lf so (and 5d level 1 is actually 17f), 5b 5d would only be 1f gap iirc. was also wondering how low j.a hits, because there may be some decent, though lackluster high/low with it and j.b on respecting/locked via hariken foes. hariken in general, im sure will provide plenty of different mixups in time. lastly, l think you should add a section regarding drill maintenance, because drill is essentially the whole point of not having a mixup in the first place. what type of pressure amane could do is influenced by this, and l already know having to micromanage that cursed drill meter is going to be a pain for anyone (probably all of us) to master. l could write some tomorrow regarding this if you want.
