CT Jin was an ok character. Decent normals, good damage and reliable oki/knockdown. But his options are rather limited outside certain ranges, his oki/knockdown is really easy to disrespect, the old Freeze mechanic (mash to escape) makes his Freeze stuff pretty weak for gimmicks/mixups. CS1 Jin surely does less (meterless) damage in general, but he can enforce pressure better (3C> 236C in the corner = Just neutral tech and block, anything else you will eat another combo), his normals are more versatile, his damage increases alot when he gets meter, which is not a problem for him because of how easily he builds meter, and the Freeze gimmicks/mixups are viable options for him now. He's a better character overall and much more capable than in CT. The reason why CS1 Jin wasnt upper/top tier was because the rest of the characters have gotten ridiculously strong in CS1 (and most CT characters were poorly made).

Jin's would be like: CS1> CS2> CT=CP 1.0>2.0> CP 1.1> CSEX. Ragna CS1 definitely the strongest, he had the best rewards (damage+meter+oki anywhere) off virtually any confirm. He couldn't reverse beat his blockstrings but he had so many options anyways that it didnt hinder his ability to pressure. DID had some invul too and any combo off it does 3k+ at least. He also didnt need any meter to deal decent damage off most confirms... a godlike character. If anything he ties with EX Ragna in terms of strength (both were upper/top tier iirc). And I also think the CS1 DLC characters were abominations LOL.

So now that Sol's past has been revealed in Xrd story mode I think it would make sense to cover the later part where he starts the bounty hunter business, and thus it would make sense to add Order Sol again in some flashback and a proper excuse to make him playable. Baiken is another probability because of the Japan colony subplot, that might become the main plot on the next game.

Glad you like then, lots of work and time are put into these recolorings! Sho's/Minazuki's fullbody should be around the past pages (didnt update the OP yet), but no Chie VS as far as I know. All the characters but Ken, Margaret and Junpei are done, so if you can't find them on the OP then, again, it's probably around the latest pages. Xrd will have to wait since I couldn't find quality artworks for every character (Ram was an exception). And your colors look fine to me, just watch for the bright colors and replace the black grandient with the darkest tone from that part. Any opinions on Leo? He feels pretty solid close-up and forces you to guess correctly in order to get out of his stuff. He also doesnt get outright killed by zoners apparently, so...

Cool topic, learned alot from this! 2 questions: 1- For the safejump oki, the most common setup is using j.S/j.P as the move to safejump afaik. Would j.HS be a better choice since it lacks recovery frames and hits twice? It could be safer if somehow the timing gets screwed up. I believe that j.S is used for fuzzy setups on certain characters but I dont use them anyways so... use j.HS instead for better consistency? 2- There's also another setup using a meaty j.HS as the opponent wakes up, the idea is to hit j.HS with the latest actives frames and then if it gets blocked you can go for a airdash> something mixup (j.SKS for example). Now the question is, could this work as a safejump since, supposedly, there would be no recovery on whiff and blocking would be possible? What can beat this? -

Say, it's CP 2.0 Ragna vs Xrd Sol. It doesnt even have to do with damage or the guts system, Sol wouldn't be able to emergency tech (GG characters dont have wakeup options) out of Ragna's finishers, this alone gives him an advantage. Neutral would be even though, both have similar tools at their disposal and can counter each other with the right moves. Plus Inferno Divider feels a little more realiable than Volcanic Viper, just because the former can be cancelled at any given time provided it hits, and a better hitbox/trajectory. One may also argue that GG characters are tougher, but the way Ragna deals damage (more meter = more damage off the same starter) balances out that extra resilience guts gives. And last but not least, BB's bursts are safer in case everything goes wrong for Ragna. But yea, both are fishes out of the water if we talk like this, so it's nothing but mere conjecture.

Perhaps, if we compare them outside gameplay Sol would be the obvious winner. Now, if we were to put both in a fighting game where each character had their own mechanics from their respective fighting games, Ragna would win in the end. Why do I say this? Well, Ragna has better movement options (has air options on High jumps), he has more teching options (forward, backwards, neutral and delay), can block in the air without sacrificing meter and arguably the better footsies. Sure he may not have a command throw like Sol, but because Sol needs to spend meter to air block he definitely would be forced to block Ragna's pressure to not get tagged by one of his many air unblockable normals, while Ragna would be able to chicken block his way out of Sol stuff. And finally, Ragna's damage potential skyrockets when he's low on health and has an OD charge to spend. DISCLAIMER: I know it's pointless to compare completely different characters from completely different games and universes, but hey it's a Death Battle.
