Kagura can ib dp. You just slide from 1 to 2 then back to 1. You have to time the dp though. Too early and it wont come out because your still in blockstun.

What's the most damage we can get off corner throw rc without/with using extra meter and OD? -
GGs. You don't have that far to go depending on what you're aiming for. Work on your pressure, and optimize your confirms. You could've killed me more than a few times if you did optimal confirms.

GGs to Nineball, Ethereal, Kubel99, TD, peorth_rose, and anyone else I played last night. Anyone up for some matches?

The How and What regarding thinking in matches and adaptation

The following is a good read, and relevant to the discussion. http://kayin.pyoko.org/?p=2047 -
It should be safe-jumpable now. You can os mu's dp like jin's dps now that the first 8 frames are invincible instead of guardpoint.

Anybody feel like playing a set?

BlazBlue Question Thread - Ask your questions here!
DJ_Blactricity replied to KayEff's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
I never said anything about not giving them advice. I'm just against going easy on them. Playing players levels above you who can shutdown every part of a your game will force you to think and adapt. It will discourage autopiloting, and get you to think about all your actions. I had a problem with autopiloting so I think it's best to discourage it early on. As far as learning how to lose, I mean actually learn how you lose. Go watch replays of yourself being bodied, and analyze yourself. Try to find your tendencies, tics and habits. See when you tend to get into bad situations. Everytime you get hit see if you could've avoided/came out on top in that situation, and find other answers to it if there any. Learn the holes in your pressure. Pay attention to how your opponent took advantage of what you notice. Critique every part of your gameplay. Analyze your opponent too. -

There's nothing left to teach me. Everyone learns at their own pace. I just have to continue improving and climbing the walls I run into. I'm competitive so I enjoy the fun of the competition win or lose. I obviously like winning, but the most fun I have is inching closer to players better than me. I wouldn't say I have no chance of winning. I've had chances, but I blew it so I'm just not good enough yet. I have stuff I need to improve on, but it's a large wall to climb. -
BlazBlue Question Thread - Ask your questions here!
DJ_Blactricity replied to KayEff's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
I have a great understanding of what it means to be shutdown. Do you? Do you know how it feels to lose hour after hour perfect after perfect and your only goal is to have one of your normals blocked/hit? Trying to have the round last longer than 20-25 seconds? Being afraid to press a button cause they're so deep in your head they know your every action? TD, Nineball, Minoru_Hoshi(then QickDrawMcgraw), Moy_X7 have tortured me from CT- till now. They gave me advice, but I didn't grasp it. I had to learn by being thrashed. I welcomed it though. Here's another one though. Do you know how it feels to play someone for years, and never win? How it feels to still be shutdown like you were when you started after having played them thousands of times over the years? The only reason I still play this game is because my goal is to beat him. Being crushed teaches how you to lose in the worst way. You can't learn how to win till you learn how to lose. You can only teach so much. Everything falls back on the one learning. Someone who truly has the desire to get better won't flinch at being crushed. They'll learn from their mistakes. They'll do anything, and everything they can to not let it happen again. If what they did wasn't enough. They'll try something else. Quitting isn't an option for them. -

They will eventually. I learned this game by being shut down over and over again. It was motivation for me. When my opponents let me get away with stuff I hated it, but it motivated me even more. The same goes for when they picked their subs. It's pointless to sandbag against someone learning. You may help them build confidence, but you'll crush that same confidence when you show them the difference between levels. Anyone serious about getting better has to understand you will lose thoroughly time after time, but eventually you will start to improve. -
GGs to everyone I played.

[CPEX] Relius Clover Gameplay Discussion
DJ_Blactricity replied to HARD_BREAD's topic in Relius Clover
Have you actually tried practicing the confirm? I don't even play relius, and it's simple. You've already committed to 2C so just look and see if valk did 6/4D. You could also autopilot 2C>3C since you can do 2C FC>3C whiff > dash 5B. Doing IB 2C/5A to punish 6D>j.A after w.5C is a read. Your not going to be reacting to w.5C>3D>4C which punishes you for making the wrong read. w.5C>2D>5C is mashable and loses to IB 2C. Of course you won't always have meter. Even without meter you still get a knockdown. -
[CPEX] Relius Clover Gameplay Discussion
DJ_Blactricity replied to HARD_BREAD's topic in Relius Clover
You shouldn't not use an option just because it's risky especially when considering IB 5A/2C both lose to w.5C>3D>4C , and IB 2C beats w.5C>4/7D>j.A while IB 5A whiffs and wj.A catches the recovery. Knowing you can 2C is worth it since you could do 2C>3C>236C RC etc. and possibly end a round.
