  1. 5A mash beats his 6D pretty hard.
  2. If you're in his ass during wakeup (as in after using my OB wiff oki/d.6D wiff oki) then his only reversal option is hotenjin, a 5A on wakeup from that range will stuff his "DP" for free.
  3. When fighting Hazama I normally jump while holding back and let the momentum of the jump close a bit of space, it makes the match a slow process but at least you don't have to worry about eating a chain while running forward.
  4. 5D can beat Optic Barrel.
  5. It's decent to learn matchups, but like I said in my video interview: "Fuck Netplay". Anyways, these guys seemed to have gotten to you before I did so just follow what they said.
  6. 6A beats 2D, 5D and 4D(in certain situations) but watch out for 3C. Play keepaway, there is no reason to get in close since Tao can space pretty well with her longer ranged normals. j.C dominates Noel, we can't beat it with drive, and if spaced well it's really hard for us to anti-air it at all.
  7. Chie is a Bruce Lee fan, she even bodies Yosuke for fucking up her Trial Of The Dragon DVD(In the Japanese version it is not mentioned by name, so the canon of it is questionable) but regardless she's a fan of the Bruce Lee style, which is why she can't be bad in this game Right? Right?
  8. The Agi Fire spells, it was her only elemental attacks, she was good for healing too, but those fire spells were no joke with her high magic attack stat.
  9. Aginor, whenever I think of you I think of Yukiko. Just thought I'd let everyone know.
  10. That's true, but at least Yukiko and Kanji have been "announced" even though we already knew about them due to the greyed out character sprites, it's good to see them officially acknowledged.
  11. Yeah it's another one of those "Damned if you do, damned if you don't" situations. The best thing we have going is that our 2D beats both her 6B and her 6A, so her most misleading mixup option is useless if we are trigger happy, sadly this is the only way I can win against Tsubakis that just don't give a fuck, wait for them to start pressure, wait for 6B/6A and 2D it on reaction, obviously if you are fighting a more respectful Tsubaki you can pressure them forever, but good luck finding a respectful Tsubaki.
  12. The problem is that if they see you chasing them they have plenty of time to throw out a 5B to stop you doing anything, even the things that beat 5B don't work 100% of the time, and honestly they are lucky to work 20% if the time, hell Tsubaki's DP even murders us, and that DP sucks.
  13. It wouldn't really make sense to select your persona since that was always an MC only kinda thing.
  14. This exact same thing happens with Makoto's air throw, her diving headbutt does not count as the throw and you can burst, but you will be punished for bursting lol
  15. You would think with Hex posting so much advice in this thread that he would be more godlike But Azure, what he said essentially, if you have trouble with Arakune, go ask some questions in the Arakune match thread, it's what we have those threads for.
  16. Matchup sucks. Valk can keep us well spaced, and a blocked 5C > 6C is solid enough to where we really can't do anything but block. His normals hit us out of all of our drives with a high success rate we can however 5D through his 236C Wolf pressure, when done right, is too solid to poke out of, but has a big enough gap to where we can be CH if we push any buttons his Wolf 5A, despite being a low attack, still beats out 2D His wolf cannons can be 6A'd, but it's a huge risk since if we time it wrong(which ALWAYS happens) we get CH into a combo, or even if it isn't a CH, if we don't emergency tech(which NEVER HAPPENS) we get combo'd blue beat. Approach is almost impossible on a good Valk, if you are lucky enough to get in, throw out a lot of staggered 2Bs, since they will beat his 6A, also if you suspect he will mash super, we can 2D right over it. Once you get him, don't let him out, you may not get a second chance. You pretty much need to play as CS1 Noel in this match, either be lame and block like a champion, or get lucky and 5D through a stray 5B or 236C, either way, the matchup is a long uphill battle for Noel, my personal opinion 6/4 Valk's favor.
