  1. Honestly, the netplay is pretty garbage and the inability to see your connection to someone is crippling. I haven't done anything with it lately. =/
  2. I shall take this moment to be smugly correct that it is now POST Winter-sale and the most CSE has been on sale for is 25%.
  3. More like "You can't react to his low, but you might be able to react to his overhead, and you're completely ignoring throws." Not the finest advice, overall. I tend to agree with D-D-Domo - win at neutral instead. That's better advice, if you're going to give advice that doesn't really solve the problem. And there isn't any advice that solves the problem, or the game would be super easy.
  4. As far as I know, only Qanba makes sticks that are compatible with both PS3 and 360; Everyone else is too reputable to do something which is technically against license agreements or something.
  5. WTF does this even mean? "...has no mixup, as long as you block his mixup." -_-
  6. Yeah; Barrier+Upback is Tsubaki's kryptonite. Or would be if she were actually good. Kryptonite implies you have superpowers in the first place. :P
  7. Nope, this only works for Ranked. No can do for Player Matches.
  8. At least you can training while waiting for opponents. #FuckYouCP
  9. I'm still visiting family at that point.
  10. Honestly? I don't think that was due to sales. Once again, they were getting somewhere around 1/3rd of their us sales on the 360; That's not a hit you want to take on your sales numbers. The fact that they are now headed back to the Xbox One lends some credence to that theory, IMHO.
  11. Why wouldn't they be? Well, other than the best efforts of the netcode, anyway.
  12. Kinda depends on how Japan reacts to the situation, don't you think?
  13. So now you're back to basically the same problem except that all the hardware doesn't even feel the same? Oh well.
  14. How do you figure?
  15. That's just not the impression I get when people say "I need to play it to know!" (And most of those statements are followed by "I'll buy it anyway.")
  16. Because videos and marketing feature lists and nonsense are NOT going to tell me if they've done something stupid like removed "Train While Waiting for Opponents." The only way I'm going to get this kind of information is to either A) Buy it myself, or B) Let someone else buy it and ask them. B) necessitates some amount of patience, and fits well with the "don't buy it at full price because I don't approve their habit of reselling their games." stance. Thus, B.
  17. Wow, so I guess you all would be happy if they just made a game with Offline Versus mode, Player match, and no features, huh? Why exactly is it offensive that people don't want to pay $60 to FIND OUT what features are included?
  18. You know what beats personal experience playing? Getting a properly put together game at an appropriate price, rather than a rushed bodge that drops key features from previously releases. Believe it or not, the 1v1 fighting is not the only component of these games, and the other stuff DOES MATTER.
  19. Well, some people do, but some of us loathe her for gameplay reasons. :P
  20. Yeah, here's the funny thing. Most people here aren't saying "I'm not going to buy this" but rather "I'm not going to pay full price for this." Which means that, basically, people are going to be playing the "wait and see what's in this game" before buying. They could put a Tsubaki Nendroid in the box and sell it to me day 1, but that seems unlikely. :P Honestly though, I want to wait and let some early adopter take the risk for me; If this is a clean, polished product (which CP is absolutely not) and so on and so forth, I'll be more inclined to buy it. There's actually been surprisingly little idiotic internet grandstanding in this thread.
  21. Isn't that basically the same reason everyone hates Noel? :P
  22. Dualshock 3 (and wireless controllers in general) is generally banned from tournaments due to issues with people not correctly desynching them from consoles, thereby screwing up subsequent matches. Wireless is bad if you're going to tournaments, 'nuff said.
  23. I actually suspect it's pretty unlikely. :P Anyway, NeoStrayCat - when I say it's an excuse, I mean, it's literally an excuse. How many games today have mandatory installs/downloads/whatever? They could very well just have had the 360 version require an install to the HD and decompress crap off the disc, or download it, or whatever. They just didn't want to put in the work.
  24. If I HAD an Xbone already, I would think seriously about getting CPEX for it instead of PS3 (and assuming I didn't have a PS4). Partly to show support, and partly because I still think PSN is a POS. However, I do not have an Xbox One, and I have no intention of getting one, and this game does nothing to shift that. I think ASW is just covering their bases here. If it's cheap to port to (which it probably is, because it's basically the same architecture as the PS4) then it makes a lot of sense to just port it and let anyone who feels like picking it up on that platform do so. People who have said the CS games "sold like crap" on the 360 are, frankly, out of their minds. Looks like Mori actually wasn't lying when he said space was the issue on the 360 for CP, even though it's still a terrible excuse.
  25. Thank goodness. Honestly, slowed down shield charges was one of my biggest WTFWHYDOYOUDOTHISARCSYS!?! complaints about CP. Oddly, I never noticed how much worse the landing recovery on dives was. x.x
