  1. This topic title literally made me think it was out you are a bad person and you should feel bad
  2. JP BBS, DL members who are in Japan, etc.
  3. I actually dislike this. Movement before round start is one of the nicer things about Melty, since it prevents the same RPS from occurring at round start every time in matchup X. UNiB has a lot fewer movement options, though, so it could ultimately be beneficial; it was probably easier for some charas to get advantage than others. This is true to an -extent- in Melty, but since jumps and airdashes are separate, even the least mobile characters can cover a lot of space.
  4. Melty is definitely one of the best-feeling fightan gaems I've ever played. Something about it is just really smooth.
  5. 214D is the shield bunker input in Melty, and H-Moon shield bunker is a CA (if not better than CA). It's not weird at all; instead, it's exactly the input you'd expect French Bread to use.
  6. P4A charas also have fewer options by design, and P4A hitboxes are kind of wonky (see: Yu 5B). The lack of options (and silly hitboxes) is what ends up murdering a lot of charas, not the momentum-heavy gameplay by itself. Part of why Liz is so bad, for example, is just that her buttons suck compared to silly normals like the ones already linked. Melty is so momentum heavy that the S-Tier is basically just damage+nuts oki on knockdown, with a few exceptions, but it doesn't stop GO1 from being a god and winning like mad with mid/mid-low tier. The real difference is that you have options to deal with that shit in Melty (whether they're universal, like shield/parry, or more character-specific). Homogenized gameplay isn't a death sentence, by itself. It is a death sentence, though, when you have characters with better options and nothing that answers them.
  7. More corner carry = stronger momentum = easier to take matches off hits = easier for low tier to win = tighter balance. It's beneficial. It's just a question of whether or not you like that way of tightening things up.
  8. SSS+: Slayer with gun Shit tier: everyone else
  9. Reasons not to: it's money I don't have atm; it's more expensive than the US version, especially with the markup on PSN cards; every week I haven't bought it is a week less that it'll actually matter, since the update is presumably coming out sometime. I would punch myself in the face if I paid $20+ for the PSN card and the game came out next week.
  10. Nah, it's only hype if they don't drop it for the timeout
  11. PSN store updated, no +R This is getting sad
  12. That was just for JP PSN. We were never given timeframe for US release.
  13. She might be fine, but no ADC is presumably a massive corner-carry nerf. Even if she is fine, though, she'll feel really different, and probably won't be as fun. Flying across the screen every time you get a good hit feels a lot different than not flying across the screen.
  14. Err, you have netcode issues? CCCaster is pretty solid. If you're metro/DC, you could prolly get at least d3 to Jersey EDIT: I also think there are a couple of DC/metro guys in MBAA IRC. Allen and LBS are DC/metro, iirc, and I'm VA myself, though not DC/metro
  15. If you like air game, try Melty. Double jumps don't eat airdashes. And yeah, Hazama is probably as good as you're gonna get for this game.
  16. Welcome to input delay. Enjoy your stay
  17. helicopter iirc And nothing can be airdash cancelled
  18. Because fuck effort. You don't even need to learn fancy shit to get results -- you just need to know basics and you're good
  19. Say furupan or French Bread, but don't say French Pan
  20. General Millia gameplan is: get in, using pin to cover entry if possible>hit them>achieve knockdown>raperaperape with okizeme back into okizeme>win
  21. Purple throws are salt inducing because: A) you know should be able to break them . B) you always fail to break them. C) the lag is always -just- enough that you can convince yourself it was the lag and not you.
  22. Lack of symmetry with the Terumi loketest. Also, maybe they'll just make him so bad they won't need to loketest him wwwwwwwwww
  23. No matches play out identically. If replay value = different, new stuff, that's infinite replay value.
  24. Because too many people think having your head in the game is more than situational awareness. It's also neat to see someone cross E-Sports with sports psychology. It's just another sign of the tacit legitimization of E-Sports.
  25. You're saying this to the Chie forum. this character literally has a +12 move, a +6 move, a +1 jab, and that doesn't even begin to count 5DD/2DD
