  1. That's pretty much what I was doing. As long as you're aware of when not to press buttons and how to break her persona, it should be a free win. I get more angry at Labrys than I do at Slab. That's mostly because of red axe bullshit though.
  2. Depending on when you 2B, he may recover before you, and then you are sincerely fucked. Also, don't get locked into blocking by lightning. That shit is retarded - if Kanji is spaced well, he gets a free combo off that.
  3. 2B is great against her j.B, but I get blown up by Labrys crossing over or jumping short to make me whiff 2B. If they know what they're doing, they can bait 2B and punish pretty hard. I've found Labrys players like to DP if you go into sweep. Also, fuck Labrys players repetitively using overheads on wakeup. That shit is stupid. Then you block high, and they go for a fucking low.
  4. Dude, that was so hype it reminded me of when I went to CEO. At CEO there were 40 people in a 1v1 double elim, all watching the measly 2 setups we had. Hype was had. I think BB tournaments are actually better the less setups there are. XD
  5. Had a lot of fun guys. I wish I could complete my combos again... this is what I get for taking a break.
  6. Slab seemed pretty easy when I found those. Not sure if that was because they were free though... I have like, no Aigis experience right now... I need to find a good WC aigis to play online occasionally so I get the matchup experience. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who dislikes Yosuke and Chie matchups.
  7. I abuse j.D when people can't punish it well whether because of skill or character design. My favorite part was the AUB reset I used on you early on from a confirm off that. I fell for zoning bullshit and let you try unblockable setups on me in the corner. I still need to get used to blocking highs on stick without the barrier crutch I had in BB to keep me from jumping. I also am still sorta new to that matchup. We need to play more often so I can get spacing down for that matchup. Lag wasn't too bad, but I felt it hardest when dropping sweep starter combos.
  8. Too busy to go to tournaments but free to play online. I see how it is Adonis.
  9. That's a good Idea. D Bufula and j.D in tandem could make for a good weaving counter, because if he tries to punish j.D he'll get frozen by the bufula. I'll need to try how this works in a match. Man, I use D Bufula so rarely. So you're saying that 2AB should beat out the multiple cross-through punch blockstring?
  10. Actually you're free to SB Coup to counterhit him on nearly any Izanagi summon, if you have the reactions for it. You leave yourself less open for punish that way. You may or may not be able to A Coup as well... I can't remember because I get counterhits off coup so often, that remembering this specific situation is a little difficult.
  11. Be very careful with j.D when he's weaving. A good Akihiko can close in and punish you before you land if you whiff.
  12. I just realized... they had awakening on for that entire video. Isn't that going to skew the damage numbers? Also I see quite a few of the combos I use in there. There's a lot of repetition for different confirms - You really don't need more than like 2 combos for a single confirm, for a single situation... it's really just a choice between whether you want damage, oki, meter, or corner carry. There is a few interesting routes in there, but I'm not going to rethink my combos until I get the majority of my matchups down.
  13. You don't really need coup versus Kanji, but in general for other characters (excluding Akihiko as well) it is safe on block, but you can't generally press a button afterwards unless you hit them with just the tip of it and are a decent distance away. Akihiko being able to punish it seems like bullshit to me, but alas, I found out the hard way that he'll punish it, so it's not useful for closing distance in that matchup. I spammed A Coup to approach all the time before I found out that was bad in certain matchups. You can still use the move in those matchups, but you have to be much more careful when you do it and I try only to do it as a quick punish for them whiffing a move.
  14. Block high. I'm joking: a good Yu will go for lows as well. You could practice timing 2B to utilize the invincibility to counterhit his overhead. There are definitely places where you can DP as well, but be careful with that. Really, blocking is your best safe option, until he has to summon Izanagi again. You can coup him for free when he does that.
  15. I'm going to try that... it sounds like stellar advice. For some reason I didn't even think about trying that. Just be wary of her jumping and throwing out fans, though.
  16. Yeah, I found out I was just going in too much. DO NOT USE COUP! Unless it's in a combo, a good Akihiko will punish coup every time. if you stay in your 5A/2A range, you're golden. Just don't get hit by Caesar :P.
  17. Empty jump> low or empty jump>grab. You can also use 5B> 2B > jump cancel > Instant Overhead or Crossover Overhead. Just try crossovers or fake crossovers more. If a Labrys is laming you out and you can't get through her defense, get the life lead and wait for timeout. That's pretty much your only option. They obviously don't want to approach and you always have the advantage on her approach, so lame them out if they don't want to play the match.
  18. I would be interested. I can help run the WC portion if you need help. PSN Chatrooms are relatively small in capacity and become crazy once enough people are talking in there, plus it's a pain to have to leave during matches. I'd recommend a browser-based IRC or similar chat instead. Or someone like me could stream, and you could use the stream chat for reporting. I'd just avoid using the PSN chatrooms and using Dustloop isn't a terrible idea, but refreshing the page could get bothersome. I think Friday nights would be the best time. Either that or Sunday nights. Perhaps Biweekly? A lot of people hold casuals and tournaments on Saturdays, so I would avoid that. I'd say a min of 16; although 32 would be awesome, I don't think it would ever fill. If you go with 16, you really need reservations. The second option for points seems the best. The first seems to be more biased at keeping high-ranked people high. Given how unstable PSN can be at times, I vote for rematch on disconnect. There needs to be a limit to this though: two disconnects = forfeit. It might slow things down a tad, but I feel it's more fair. You might also want to cap how many disconnects you can have in a given day.
  19. You can't see right now, but I'm smiling so much from this.
  20. All over twitter around August 9th-ish. It was also an EventHubs article. Edit: It does seem like other people are verifying the 3 frame invuln as fact though... I'm still not sure i believe that.
  21. Justin Wong has been blasted by a lot of people for saying blatantly incorrect things about the game.
  22. Lmao, there's no way it has full invuln. Definitely has head invuln though.
  23. You can also go for 2B AUB resets using A Coup at the end of a long combo, occasionally.
  24. Sweep goes under bat, if that helps at all.
