  1. Just make everyone broken in their own way and it'll balance itself. Like Guilty Gear.
  2. Jin confirmed SS+ for Calamity Trigge... I mean Chrono Phantasm. BRING ON THE ICE CARS
  3. I'm 99% certain that the movelist changed since the first loketest. The "Press C" thing wasn't listed in the original movelist, but now several sources are saying it is in the movelist now. And considering that most of us have seen videos of them whiffing the first hit of Ice Car D and hitting with the second, I'd say chances are high that you can control the second hit now. I imagine it will still automatically come out if you don't hold the B or D button though.
  4. Wait, November? You best be playin'. I can't go if it's in November. Wait, looks like he corrected it to December. Derp.
  5. Yeah, like xlolxlolx said, that's what it's saying. I actually find that really cool. So I guess you hold the original button (B or D) until you want the second hit, and then press C.
  6. You mean his j.B crossover? It's pretty simple: 2B > Instant Air Dash > AC turn around > j.B
  7. Yeah that's why I was wondering about the mechanics behind it. The only real way I see that working is by them changing 214D to not travel the full length of the screen anymore, giving it a set length of travel. That is, unless it works like Moy's idea.
  8. Manually controlling the followup would be swag, but it would also make it hard to instant block... I wonder if they would do that. I can't imagine how else people would be getting the first hit to whiff though, unless the move has a set range now. I'll be sad if non counter hit fubuki can't be comboed anymore. I found some swag shit off that in CSE. Relatively damaging corner combo and also an optional reset setup.
  9. Yeah, you just hold D.
  10. It takes months of practice to truly get decent at a game. Additionally, it will probably never get to the point where you body all other people. At best, you'll go even with the best players. It takes time, but it's pretty rewarding.
  11. At least the combos look more stable with wall stick. Does anyone know if throws can still be comboed or if sekkajin requires you to hold the C button at all? I'm also wondering if 214D no longer moves the entire length of the screen, and if midscreen fubuki can be followed up with an ice car.
  12. Yo Moy, you have the wrong inputs listed for the two hizan moves.
  13. I think, but I'm not sure. Either way, you can just block that and punish.
  14. Also, I've found that if you see a liz applying thanatos pressure just outside burst range when you're in the corner, if you have 25 meter you're willing to spend, you can counterhit her with SB Coup. It seems that the startup is fast enough that you go through the persona, break a card, and counterhit liz.
  15. Yo, how is this matchup supposed to be played? I'm definitely doing something wrong here.
  16. You're letting him jump in for free way too much. You need to work on reaction 2B'ing his jump ins. If he tries to fullscreen zone with fireballs, you CAN roll through them. You also don't need to jump that much in this matchup, and if you are going to jump, continue to apply pressure with j.D, unless you know he'll jump towards you. Also as a general rule of thumb: if their back is to the corner, and you hit them with 2D, don't do the followup. You get better damage by using 6B after. This Yu was a mashy motherfucker. You need to respect his wakeup more to let him be stupid and DP/super so that you can punish. Remember that you can punish Yu's DP with an air throw counter. I can't really comment on Aegis' video because I'm not familiar with the Chie matchup yet.
  17. Have you tried using 2D instead of 5D? It'll probably net you more damage, but don't hold me to that.
  18. What I use for CH air throw is 2D > [6B] > 2AB > B Coup > 2A > 2B > C Bufula > [6B] > 2AB > A Coup near midscreen, Or I'll use OMC > 2B > C Bufula > etc instead of the B Coup corner bit if my back is closer to the corner.
  19. I generally avoid using very many blockstrings, and instead go for pokes or whip pressure. But when I find myself in the situation: 6B > 2B > j.B 5B> 2AB > Coup of choice 5B > [2AB] > Grab 5B > [2AB] > AoA 5B > [2AB] > j.B 5B > [2AB] > 2A (for pressure reset) I'll occasionally pass through with AC or do some ambiguous crossovers. I also like jumping back to bait the opponent into thinking my pressure is over, and then snagging them with j.D. If they block the j.D, I've usually done it low enough where I can A Coup for free after.
  20. When do signups close? And what times does WNF generally run? I haven't been going because of various reasons (Out of state during the first one and just didn't feel like it the second). If it doesn't run /too/ late, I might be able to go, but I'd have a pretty long ride back home and work the next morning.
  21. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to this Rebel Up after all... celebrating my girlfriend's birthday that weekend by visiting San Francisco. I'll definitely make it to the next one though.
  22. That's not true at all, regarding overheads. Throws are very close range, yes, but you can do the occasional throw reset off A coup. Also try going for more crossovers.
  23. I generally go with sweep/freeze loops or whip combos, for ease of use. In general, you want your first freeze to be a whip move, since they can only be the first freeze in your combo.
  24. Yeah, in general sweep will only combo after 4/5/6B on counterhit, crouching confirm, or fully charged. If you're in the middle of a combo, there's no downside to fully charging the move as you have plenty of time given that they are frozen.
  25. This is a thread made for the sole purpose of posting videos of yourself in an effort to receive and discuss advice. In general, try to keep the videos short and to the point. Nobody wants to watch an hour of footage that feature someone spamming autocombo. A good length is somewhere around 5 matches, give or take. Also try to keep criticism as constructive as possible. It really doesn't help to bash someone, especially if they are in this thread trying to learn. Flaming will not be tolerated. That said, have fun! Hopefully we can all share and discuss like sophisticated gents. Here are some good ways to get of videos of yourself without owning your own recording equipment: 1. Twitch Streams A lot of people (such as myself) have open lobbies where they stream people's matches and then save the recordings on Twitch. Some people add highlights to the videos, which allows you to link to a particular time. This comes in handy for showing people videos of yourself without having to make them sift through the video themselves. However, a lot of Open Lobby streamers do no do this. I'm guilty of it myself. In this case, you can download .flv versions of the videos using this tool: http://bashtech.net/twitch/download.php If you locate the number ID of the recording, you can easily download it using this tool. You can then edit this file using some video editing software and crop it to the matches you want, and then upload it to Youtube. There are many options for editing FLV files. Most programs allow you to edit WMVs, AVIs, and MPGs. FLV files are actually containers, so if your particular video editing software doesn't allow you to import FLV files, you can use an extraction/conversion tool to change it into a format you can use. 2. Youtube If you search for your username, you may find someone has uploaded some of their matches with you. Though this is far less likely than purposefully playing in an open lobby on Twitch, it can sometimes serve as an alternative. If someone has uploaded offline matches, you can simply link to the proper times. 3. Ask someone who has recording equipment to record some matches for you This is pretty much self explanatory. If you know someone, you can easily have them spectate some matches for you or record offline matches.
