If you take Yazu's advice, you can even kill Ada doing this, putting Carl in a position he does not want to be in. And since Carl has to use Ada quite often, depleting her meter, go for this if the Carl is really aggressive, but play it safe. Also, Ada delay's Makoto's drive attacks, and he can blunder into them, even if they look like they already ended, if you're lucky, lol. -

I don't have much experience on Carl myself either, but against Noel, don't try blind rushing her since her ability to guess with her Drive is off the charts. Throw her as much as possible after micro dashes to catch her during her drives. -

Dang! -
Other fighters are too damn scrubby. Also; Gameplay is fun, I love the learning curve, it is just right. Characters are all pretty cool, and every one of them plays different. Hi-Res sprites are just awesome. Went into Continuum shift 1-Extend for Makoto, staying for Makoto.

Those work too though. I like a bit of variety in my gameplay. Thanks Uri! Heck, I'm even going to start practicing early 2D's and 3D's as soon as I get back into groove. -

It's been work, work, woooooork for me. Whenever I'm on DL during the day, I'm at work also. I need to re-watch all your vids and get back into BB, this stuff is interesting. -

Seriously!? That would rack up some big ass damage, but I don't see how the opponent would actually let that happen unless they screwed up really bad, haha. -

Sounds like something to mess around with when I have the time, this'll be fun... I thank you. This is fun to do. I kind of already knew it, not sure if it was useful or not, but Bibi answered that question. -

After some usual ground carry after hit, going for j.C>B>j.D to finish the job? -

What's the best followup that you would use for the CU RC corner scenario? -

I know. I did point out it actually makes her more fun though. Btw, is CU > RC > etc worth doing? I've seen some people throw this out. edit: and no I didn't know that, lol, sounds sweet. -

Well, pretty much everything on Makoto is gimped, she doesn't really have a "wonder move" at her disposal she can abuse to get an advantage. In Ex, she gets literally nothing in return for her short range, so you have to actually plan and play smart the whole match, which I find more fun than playing repetitiously. Besides, even if they fixed CU's hitboxes and invuln, Makoto would still kind of suck compared to the rest of the cast. Makoto could use something like this. -

He sure as hell doesn't need all that initial damage when he has access to BK. Not broken, but slightly overpowered. edit: and Ragna shouldn't have to rely on one move to be decent. -

Yeah, f**k lag with Makoto. I still find Noel a bit more annoying than Tao though, but for an entirely different reason- there's no variety the entire match. Same strategy every time. What did they change to Noel's Drive in CP? Tone down the invulnerability, damage, speed, or all? -

If you play Tager and Makoto, then YES. I am thinking it will be the same case with Kagura, he will most likely be a slower character. The macthes aren't unwinnable, but they sure are annoying. And they made Tao so derp in this version, so that's probably not going to help. -

I hope so, otherwise Tao will be a bigger pain in the ass than she already is. -

[CP1.1] Makoto Nanaya's Gameplay Discussion - When's 2.0?
Teutonicknight replied to HiagoX's topic in Makoto Nanaya
2d2 combos were always kind of tricky. Are there more things you can do with it now since it was sort of situational in Ex? Heck, even in CS2 it was situational in some ways. -
[CP1.1] Makoto Nanaya's Gameplay Discussion - When's 2.0?
Teutonicknight replied to HiagoX's topic in Makoto Nanaya
Errol knows since he has hands-on experience with them. From what he told me, combos are a good deal more simpler and easier to time, as well as a bit shorter. I think it applies to everyone. Makoto's BnB 5CC>214>C>etc is much easier to get the timing down from what I hear, along with a lot of her more strict combos. And yes, micro-dashing is still a good thing to learn, especially with Makoto. -

Makoto's style is easy enough to remember to where you can quit playing her for a few years, and re-learn her in just 30 minutes. One you're down with the timing all over again, the rest just melts into place. -

I never liked Valk much. The sole reason he's such a threat in CP is because of his mixups alone. He got nerfed where it actually made him less stupid, and the buffs didn't really do a whole heck of a lot to change him, save for a few of them. -

AH, so I was right about HDTV's affecting the damn timing. I thought it was just me for a second.
