  1. So I'm thinking about getting serious with subbing Tao again, can anyone sport me some bnbs tips and gimmicks new to CP? I need as many as you all can give me so don't hold back any that you can think of, no matter how basic, complex, unimportant or obvious you feel they may be. I will treasure them all. Now I sit back and pray the Tao board is still alive.
  2. For jabs just turn the midscreen 41236B into 236C->214B for jabs and throws in the corner turn 41236B into 4D->3C
  3. Midscreen: 5B->3C->6D+forward jump->fallingj.B->2C->6C->41236B->5B->5C->superjump->j.B->j.C->j.236C->j.214B->airdash (approx 3500 damage and 1-2/5ths ignis) Corner: 5B->3C->236C->214A->5C(1hit)->jump->j.C->j.236C->j.214B->falling j.B->2C->6C->41236B->5B->5C->4D->3C(optional distortion) (approx 4500 damage 5500 with distortion. 3/7 ignis bar) Midscreen ignesless: 5B->3C->236C->Rapid->Instant airdash->j.B->2C->6C->41236B->5B->5C->superjump->j.B->j.C->j.236C->(j.214B->airdash)* (about 4000 damage) *if ignis has recharged, which she probably has. There's more out there but these are gold standard combos.
  4. This guy is. Tbh j.214B oki isn't so bad if you airdash in. sure it plays out like a guessing game but 5B/3C/6D will catch most attempts to escape and at least keep them blocking, Problem is DPs. So, I've been experimenting with various uses of 236D. It can be used in neutral along side a backdash to catch jummp/dash ins, and it can be used after j.xD in zoning to keep ignis safe from foes expecting 214C or j.6D or j.2D while also locking the opponent down. I swear this move's become a million times better since CSE
  5. Arena Ferox is a stage, so that's a good sign Truefax.
  6. So Is the only difference between Naoto and Shadow Naoto, the fact that Shadow Naoto has less damage and can't burst? or do her move's other properties and her abilities change between forms? I can't find a list of differences anywhere, but I also hear talk of Shadow characters getting properties like stun or confuse on some of their attacks.
  7. So how does a Relius deal with cross-up j.D? Where's the escape button on his pressure? What can we do to win this fight?
  8. So I've been seeing 1.1 Gad leis getting both hits in scenarios where 1.0 usually drops the second. Can anyone confirm if the move always links to the second hit now? Also I've seen it link into 3C off of high prorated combos if that was ever a concern for anyone. (which also means distortion opportunities for pretty much any combo you can dream up, because 2C->6C->41236B is in everything.) So How does a Relius accurately bait DPs? Can it only be done by observing another's patterns or is there some other method or formula for doing so? I really don't like my frame traps and gimmicks being blown up at the most random times. It's easy enough to bait on wake-up, but is there anything I can be doing while pressuring to get better results?
  9. You can also do 4D off of some air laugers, on a really low lauger you can 6B/2C confirm it.
  10. Jump and grab? they never seem to see that coming. Idk, I've been experimenting with summoning Ignis during the opponent's blockstrings and if you use 4D you can catch it pretty easy. (I think Ignis should get head invulnerability during 4D honestly) Question for you Necro, that OD combo you mentioned for 6900ish damage that starts with 5B->236C->214A->665A+B->etc Can you add in a 3C after the 5B and still have it work? (I haven't been able to pull it off for the life of me)
  11. I've had marginal success too! close 5B->3C->superjump+6D->falling j.B->j.8D->2C->6C->41236B->5B->5C->superjump->j.B->j.C->j.236C->j.214B looks as if it'll work as a cross-up combo (I've gotten close to getting it to work I think a lot of other stuff could come from this I think you can use j.C after superjump+6D to raise the height of things a little. I think you can use airdash->j.B->j.236C->4D after j.8D to get a quicker followup in the corner. but I know you can do microdash 5B after j.8D which could lead to 236C to get a better corner followup. Tragic thing is if you mis-space it and don't cross up with j.B you won't be able to continue into 2C (to my knowledge)
  12. Does it actually work? Is it corner only? is it punishable? does it combo into anything good? This could be big. I love microdash shenanigans.
  13. I could answer this myself when I get home, but I'm not completely sure what you're asking us to test. But I have to ask; why not just get the computer to attempt this fuzzy using the playback function while you try block accordingly? If it works on you then it's prolly a legit fuzzy.
  14. Yaaaay we've got 7K combos back! I've been missin' those ever since CSE Do you know how much heat the combo itself builds? 7K combos kinda used to be my thing so I plan to use this as much as possible.
  15. Getting hit by Azrael would make me sound like a 12ish year old boy easily. But if that is a thing it should be found by others quite soon. I don't imagine it lasting long tho.
  16. Similar question regarding that Relius avatar request (which really I should have made on the other thread) Thanks again for all the stuff you've done for me! (namely my current Avvy gif which as beloved as it is, seems to have kicked the bucket.)
  17. By blue barred I mean that right before you put them in the corner and did the reset you or Ignis took a hit that made her get forcibly de-summoned so she's got the blue bar that indicates slower initial recovery of Ignis gauge.
  18. But what if you got blue-barred before you put them in the corner in the first place? will it completely refill then? And what do you do if you've got the Ignis for a regular combo? (I mean aside from 3 act instakill funsies)
  19. Calling all Dustloop Relius players. Calling all Dustloop Relius players. Can someone tell me the most optimal combo off a 4D corner reset? Both without meter but with Ignis and with meter for a RC'd 236->5D to recharge Ignis? I gotta know so I can start making people cry, I'm running low on tears of my opponents.
  20. Of course Relius doesn't even make it on to the tier list. That's how much of a baller he is. Also, Tao and Valk not in the S tier list? Is the tier maker on drugs?
  21. How do I get Kokonoe Dlc. I searched the Japanese PSN and could find her nowhere. Scratch that, I went all highschool level 日本ご all up in here. Problem solved.
  22. So almost half a year later and I finally have the finances to get a yen card to get Kokonoe, problem is, with the changes to dustloop and my own inherent predisposition to getting lost on forums I have no idea of how where the psn yen card thread is. Can anyone tell me where it is?
  23. The reason people call it scrubby is because they feel cheated. All of their moves have 50 billion frames of added start-up due to lag, so even my dog could DP them on reaction. So ultimately any way you try to play can and will get blown up by a DP. Many will say "well the simple solution is to punish the DP spammer by baiting the spam with your vast array of 1337 spam punishing techniques." And normally they'd be right. But if you consider the situation, you'll find that that is not exactly possible. with the game state slowed down, such attempts become obvious, and even if miraculously they do work the pay-off isn't nearly as rewarding. Lag will often disrupt the lengthy punish combos, or sometimes make the punish impossible in the first place. Lag not only makes DP opportunities easy to find, but it makes them safer too. If you find yourself struggling to empathize with the victims of laggy DP spam, simply imagine a world where your character moves at half speed and Ragna can has the option to Rapid cancel inferno divider on block or whiff for free. Do you want to live in that world?
