  1. Aluminum foil can solve the light problem if you don't mind looking HELLA poverty I'll bring it to next casuals for sure then.
  2. If the window in Shar's mancave opens vertically, I may just have a solution to our thermal issues in the form of a window AC I bought 2 years ago and no longer have any need of. It worked/works perfectly fine but I moved out and no longer had any need of it. (in fact window ACs are banned in my apartments) If it opens horizontally we can probably still use it but we'd have to get creative (need to block the area above it with a piece of plywood or something).
  3. I'm totally down for an in-between session too; didn't want to intimate that I wasn't up for that or anything. But Oct 31 looks like a really big date for us, with CP release hype it'll be awesome too.
  4. We are considering something big for October 31. We've got CP, Halloween, and Shar's birthday that all need celebrating. Stay tuned. And yes Nemesis I'm planning on snacks/caffeine.
  5. Blocked DP? Guard Crush? Just throwing out suggestions.
  6. I'm seeing what you're saying. The jCx4 > jCx1 makes them too low to the ground for 6A. Curious to see what happen if you went for a jCx5 if you could feasibly get a 6A off. It's a shame cause 6A has 110% bonus proration in CP. Something to look forward to combosmithing in October.
  7. If that's possible I wonder if you can drop a rep > 6A. Dunno if 6A works in CP like it does in CSE though. EDIT: If I'm understanding this changelog correctly looks like 6A got even better, so it's definitely worth considering. I haven't really kept up with CP lately so I dunno if 6A is already included in the standard BnB.
  8. Is 2D still a F1? I've always thought F1 counters on Hakumen was silly.
  9. People who intentionally don't finish you off just so they can turtle the rest of the round to prove a point about how good they are.
  10. So this is one of the dumbest fucking things I have ever seen. http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/yatagarasu-attack-on-cataclysm?c=activity Hope something gets worked out.
  11. Prepare yourself for a lecture on priority (or rather, the fact that "priority" doesn't exist) Not trying to be an asshat, just pointing out that if you look at the frame data, you will find explanations for the things that happen. There is no "priority" in the game. Corona Upper has 10F~ of invulnerability, Inferno Divider C has 18.
  12. This is literally the only reason I don't like online classes. I don't have a choice in the matter though. I'll be heading out soon.
  13. This is probably the first thing you should try to do. There are some really strong Japanese Hazamas out there. Check out this thread for videos of notable players. I wouldn't really recommend trying to download my Hazama because I play super gimmicky (there's a Tager locked away within my Hazama). Don't worship them because they're Japanese though, worship them because they're good. I've seen plenty of Japanese scrubs during casual sessions. Not every Japanese player is a god just because they're Japanese. For starting out you want to nail down your standard oki with Hazama (stuff > 3C > Ressenga > ???). The biggest piece of advice I give to any starting Hazama is to avoid the bad habit of ending every block string with 3C > Ressenga. It's not even close to gapless, in fact it can get CH by most 5As. Don't do this. If you use 3C and they block it, and you just want to get back to neutral, Jabaki (+1, gapless) is a much better choice. There are definitely still uses for Ressenga in blockstrings, but don't get in the habit of using it every single time. Breakdown: 3C > -6, really no reason why you should let yourself stop here. Jabaki > gapless, +1 (-2 on IB) Ressenga: large gap, reversible by quick pokes, +2 (-1 on IB) Gasaishou is also one of Hazama's best tools, as mentioned before. It's a constant threat the opponent has to be aware of. It has really easy setups you can do off of practically any normal. You can force a lot of mix-up situations where the opponent has to guess whether or not you're gonna do Gasaishou. *This is all based on CSE frame data and such and may or may not carry over to CP.
  14. It was me trying to go for DP > RC stuff but you kept backdashing them which put paid to that plan. I should probably be less afraid to use DP-B/A more often. They're not bad moves for keeping people out during footsies. Amusingly enough one of the things I think you should work on is blocking low. You blocked most of my overheads but I'd randomly get low hits in that would win me the game.
  15. I intentionally did that last purple cuz I was sure you'd try to mash a DP/reversal in response to my RC (happens all the time). The other purples were failed resets because I'm still not 100% with this on netplay. Also, I don't think anyone has fun playing against Tager.
  16. ggs. I think my brother has finally logged into XIV and that may have made the conn go to shit.
  17. Oh fuck. I had notifications turned off for recording last night lmao. My bad. Please pick Altar instead of Training stage. Training stage fucks with my head
  18. I'll be Training til you invite.
  19. Sure, make the room and I'll be on momentarily.
  20. Home early. Anyone want a set?
  21. Just a reminder: Casuals are this Thursday, September 5th at 4:00 PM. And will be hosted at Sharakonta's (ask him for the address I doubt he wants me to post it here) Current games we've got on the list: BBCSE, GGAC+R (JP PSN version) Chaos Code Gundam Extreme Versus -other fighters we feel like playing- As far as I know, we've only got plans for 2 setups so far.
  22. I think it might actually be unique to Haku-men's throw animation. Something stupid happens with it somehow.
  23. ggs Nombre. I'm gonna upload that one replay lol.
  24. No, that's not what hits you. What hits you is blocking all of MTW > getting hit by the overhead. Or blocking the overhead > raw TB Is there any other way to combo Jin AH apart from throw? LOL WTF that was the best ending I've seen in a long time lmao.
  25. I meant "its not whiffing because you did it wrong or hyper extended it. It simply doesn't work at all." For the longest time I thought I was just getting juked when I whiffed it on you then I went into Training and realized it just doesn't work.
