The titles you earn offline are the ones that count the most.
-
Why doesn't Hazama enrage you then?
-
Home early and it's the start of my days off. Anyone want some games?
-
GGs Naharu, Red Zero Six Easier to play this game when you're not massively sleep deprived.
-
My conn seems back to normal today. Gonna play this until I have to go to work in 45m.
-
I actually spam Haza 6C meaty sometimes against Noel. I can't believe it actually works (pins her onto the ground from 2D, CH's her other Ds and allows follow up) Only character I would ever dream using it on.
-
My conn is complete shit tonight. Getting like 50ms+ Jitter which is absurd. Nevermind. Wooh yeah

mAc you want to play some games right now? Or anyone else with a decent conn.

Anyone on? I got home really early today.

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion

Game looks the same speed as ever to me. All the animations seem faithful to the originals as well, especially movement stuff like Potemkin's backdash. I have no absolutely no complaints about Potemkin's new HPB animation. Seeing your opponent's ":O" face before it is just priceless. -

Not at all. In fact usually when you haven't polished your 3D model's rigging enough it gets odd deformations and bendiness everywhere just like Faust! 3D modeling is much more versatile then people seem to think. I'm no expert on Faust; I've never even fought him personally but I don't see anything he does that couldn't easily be done in 3D. You can even do stuff like Arakune fairly easily with proper planning. For instance Faust's Dust would be a simple > obscuring effect (the whirling "change clothes spin" thing) > model switches while obscured > whirly effect again > model changes back. -

First thing that popped into my head was Spiral Knights, actually. I like the new Potemkin design though. -

It is possible and I've done it several times in Training mode. It requires 4D not 6D though. The tricky part is you can only hit them after they fall far enough into their "falling animation" in order to get hit by it. However, landing the 4D requires you to not prorate with TK loops too much, which generally makes it suboptimal. The biggest problem comes from the fact that they sometimes don't stay in untech long enough to get hit by a 3C (because you had to hold Jasetsu for so long, they end up higher up even though you put them in hitstop with 4D) It's also possible to do 66 ~ 2B > 5C(1) > 2C > 4D > Gashou > Mizuchi on Tager, but it's worthless because you can't do any TK loops at all in most cases which is far from optimal. In order to do it you have to hit the Gashou meaty as Tager falls back down into it's hit box. It's touchy as hell.

Honestly losing all your Tension is a helluva lot worse than getting damaged more if you enemy manages to catch you. Having no meter severely limits your ability to do all the stuff you need to do. -

That second vid was awesome, really not a fan of that 2B > 6B Fatal loop though

This is what I've always done: 5190 (Corner) 5B > 5C > 2D > RC 66~5C > 5D(1) > DS > delay 2C > 5C* > jC > jc jC > BE > 6B** > 2C > 5D(2) > ID(1)*** ~236C~236C > CU 3C > 22C *5C has to be delayed (the gatling) against some specific characters, mainly Arakune. **I don't usually bother microdashing this. Not microdashing the 6B makes the ID(1) easy as hell (it won't even hit twice). There may be some characters that require it but I haven't encountered any due to the positioning of BE. By not microdashing this you get a super ideal ID(1) with no effort. ***You can land both hits against characters with big legs so long as you delay the Straight Punch afterwards (NOT the Uppercut) Best example is Jin. 5B > 3C > 22C > RC is more desirable though, but requires you to be close range.

Doing it properly this time, testing my ping before I try to netplay. MUUUUCH better. I'll be on for a while. --- I'd play some more but 6 people is way too fucking many. rofl I just scared the shit out of myself in Training. Tager was walking super retarded and I thought my stick was broken but the reality is I managed to turn Turbo on for the 6 directional for some reason... --- GGs JVN (or whatever your name was) Dreaded Impulse & aspectsofwar BGs Turbo Button (right next to the Select/Start button and looks exactly the same WHY)

Inb4 Blood Edge. Plays exactly like a really crappy Ragna. -
You can't gatling it into anything. If I IB it I can actually punish you with a 360B lol. It's got an 18F startup and 2 active frames. It's like literally the worst possible move you could use on meaty oki on Ragna ever :p Protip: 5C > 2D has a miniscule gap that is a frame trap for 360A mash (it's vulnerable to 720 mash though). If you use it at max range I can't 360 you on IB as well. Not on a meaty jump, he'd land before my backstep is done (seeing as his move whiffs he won't get put into hitstop). He actually did that to me several times. Channeling dat Tsubaki jC oki.

Sorry man but I think the storm is ruining our conn, usually we're solid 3 now we're at 1. It just isn't fun when the entire match is random ass crap that neither of us mean to do. GGs. With Tager you want to almost always go for jump attacks on oki. You can do them meaty to make them gapless. The only thing I can counter them with is MTW but that's easily blocked with a RC. Obviously you gotta mix it up at times but you really shouldn't try for constant 2D on oki lol. EDIT: The lag is probably on my end. I just tested it and I'm getting some serious Jitter (which is a culprit for stutters) like in the 30~35ms range. It's probably just the storm fucking my stuff up.
-
That's the first time I've ever done that 360 setup successfully (after the SMP 3C GF the 6A has like 0 hitstun) Getting some serious stutters now. 2D is not an oki move! I get mad everytime I 360 you out of it >
-
There, I think I proved my point.
-
It's really frustrating. I would destroy you if I just spammed 360A like a bitch but I never do.
