That's not the problem, if that was the problem then we'd just have difficulty inputting stuff. But the netplay in AC like randomly explodes and goes completely to crap (screen freezes, sometimes complete disconnects). Game usually perpetually runs at like 80% speed too. It's really frustrating because it can work just fine at times, but rarely. I've played a 4 hour set with a dude in the same city as me (4 bars) and we had lots of fun but it still randomly exploded like once out of every 5 matches. It's actually kind of amusing to play AC netplay while listening to Robo-Ky theme. #WhensACR

I care about music always, but the only stage I care about is Training stage. On that stage the "can't tell when I'm going to land" is a totally legitimate complaint thanks to the complete lack of scenery and a the endless grid in the background. That's why I never pick the stage. Houtenjin > Zaneiga is a bitch on Training stage.

Hmm, is there no option for Spectator settings then? That makes me hopeful that maybe they've shoehorned that into Auto-Pass just like P4A. ? That's just for spectating. Auto-Pass is a feature in P4A. I don't think it's in Extend (unless I've been missing something amazing for my entire CSE experience)

Maybe there's some interesting settings: All I can tell on my own is: Room Name Room Type (Dunno what that entails) (Assuming: Number of Players) (Assuming: Number of Spectators) 3 options afterwards that default to "No/None" Don't know what the last option is.

GGs Deadliest As if I needed more proof that I should just drop this game. I remember a time when I was like, actually semi-challenging to fight.

Owner's pretty brutal. I can see Carl having a huge amount of difficulty with him too because his defense is rock solid. Fighting him is usually like "I blocked all your crap, now I'm going to murder you." He has genuine patience too. The only thing I was able to exploit fairly reliably against him was command throws (Gasaishou/Tager 360). He seems to have difficulty with those but Carl doesn't have any. I'd guesstimate at the end of the day my win ratio against him is like 35%/65% in his favor.

Honestly I find his Jin more threatening. He played Haku-men/Bang/Ragna/Rachel with me and none of them were above average. Tsubaki/Jin were his threatening ones. I played Tager/Relius/Haku-men/Hazama. We had a Hazama/Jin brawl towards the end. Good stuff.

I've been in the exact same situation. Pretty much nothing you can do. If he is losing interest because he can't get better than he's obviously not cut out for FGs. It's the harsh reality about any competitive hobby/game. All you can do is be supportive and instructive but if he's not responsive to that you're pretty much out of options. As much as I wish you could, you can't force someone to become competitive at FGs.

Let's see if I can play and not get salty tonight. Hopefully the prospect of starting my 'weekend' will help keep me positive (haha). Getting on XBL now.

I would've gladly foregone it but felt it would be unsporting. It got pretty bad after the 6-6 win set and never got better. That was when it went to 1 bar. I hope your Baltimore conn will be nice when you finally move in (that's where you were headed right?)
