D00D...We should do false ass netplay tournaments to see who is the best with each character. I know I'd be intently watching the Hazama tourney between you, Ctrl, Lich, and Haven. -
If pressure is one of your weaknesses, then you might want to go into training mode and come up with some ways to reset pressure on an opponent. The main three ways this happens are: 1.) Attacking after moves that are plus on block - Look at frame data on the dustloop wiki and find moves that have positive frame advantage. If these moves leave you right in front of your opponent you can simply attack againg to resume pressure. If you are a bit away you have to dash > jab though (not possible with Hakumen) 2.) Attacking after moves that are slightly negative on block - If you are unpredictable and your opponent respects you, you can also reset off of moves that are slightly negative on block by doing a dash > jab. I have found that moves anywhere from -0 to -3 usually work pretty well. (But some people even let me reset after Mars Chopper, which is -5. Inorite) 3.) Moves that are jump cancellable - You can usually jump and attack after a move to stay in on your opponent. It serves as a high and you can usually do whatever you want after they block the jumping attack. Bonus - You can also rapid cancel any attack and resume pressure. If you do it after a move your opponent knows is unsafe they'll usually try to attack like morons and get counter hit. Oh and you want to have more than one way to reset pressure...

I'd like to nominate Gold Champion VS "Three random XBL scrubs with a PSR of less than 400" in a handicapped survival match to the death. (Gotta use that survival option somehow) BTW I belive in Gold Also the previously pitched match of: Owner & Nemesis VS Ayashii & StayFree still stands with the option of replacing Ayashii or StayFree with NeoGio0o Wait have we nominated anyone who mains Ragna... -
Opinions will differ, but I say you should start by facing people near your level or at least average at the game. If you play nothing but the best the game will become extremely frustrating, and you won't see any solid progress (ie. wins) for a long time. Playing people lower on the totem pole, still lets you get accustomed to important facets of the game like neutral, pressure, and hit confiming while giving you little ego boosts along the way. If you start out against someone who is good and smothering, you will rarely get a chance to pressure him or mix him up. And usually when you do you will screw up an input or drop a combo, which leads to you eating countless amounts of damage. By your avi I'll guess you use Hakumen. You should try playing against other Haku's and see what they do. Steal their tricks and blockstrings. As far as pressure goes...Haku's sucks unless you have some Magatama to burn. His combos are also weird, but if you play against real people they will soon become second nature.

That's okay Kuraudo. When I get XBLive back you can FT10 me... ...and if you lose you have to be Bloodedge for a month (A.K.A Ragna with no drive, supers, or specials other than 623C, j.214C, and 22C) lol Also you can only play from one side of the screen because one of your arms doesn't work. -

Ever think about doing 2v2 or teams with something like this? There could be some EPIC ass matchups that way, and teaming up is always cool. I'm officially pitching: Owner & Nemesis VS Ayashii & StayFree...I don't even know who would win that. Edit: THEY'RE EQUALLY MATCHED!!! WHO WILL WIN??? Double Edit: IT'S A LOPSIDED BATTLE!!! STAY FREE DESTROYS ALL??? -

I've been playing offline on the PS3 for a few days now and it seems that there is some sort of slight input delay on PS3 that isn't there on 360. It seems like I have to press everything earlier and then wait a little for the move to come out. I know this doesn't make sense seeing as both consoles use wireless controllers for the most part, but it could be adding to your experience of online lag and just making everthing worse. Tell me what you guys think about this because it's bugging me; it feels so weird just moving and doing all of my combos.

If you are a newcomer trying to get into the game, then I suggest you only learn three combos starting out: 1.) A midscreen combo you can consistently do that works on standing and crouching characters. 2.) An anti-air/ air confirm combo. 3.) A grab combo. (You should also learn how to tack on a distortion if you need to kill your opponent.) Most attacks you land will be able to lead down the same combo path, so you can focus on playing the game instead of worrying about what combo you should be doing whenever you get a hit. As you start to get more skill or become familiar with the game then you can install a corner combo, a Rapid Cancel combo, counter and fatal punish combos, etc. because then you will be fluid enough in your mechanics that you can use more optimal and damaging combos without dropping everything and getting your ass kicked.

Star-Demon seeks THE BlazBlue weekly Podcast

Ummm....I'm hella free, and would not do the character justice at all, but... I main Makoto and am at least serviceable with her, so if you want someone to talk about Makoto or "Low Tierness" then I'd be happy to come on the show. At least...that is...unless you don't... ...need me... -

Hmmm..... 1.) For this question I think most people will want to see someone who uses their character(s) really well. For example I would only really want to watch beastly Makoto's play against tough matchups like Lambda to see how they get in or get out of pressure etc. Other than that you should just get as many "netplay legends" as you can and have them duke it out. Some names that come to mind are: SCAM 4 LIFE (Jin), Nemesis Enforcer (Mu), NeoGio0o (Tao/Valk??), I Owner L (Tsubaki), The Turntablist (Bang), Scrimgore (Tager), Argent Zero (Arakune/Tager), SwordOfToan or Pisces Albafica (Lambda), Frostbite Bob or CrazyApe64 (Carl), NejiMetriod (Litchi), RachelArukardo (Rachel), Gold Champion200 (Makoto), CtrlAltWtf / badlime (Hazama). I tried to list a really good person for each character, but I don't know everyone on XBL...so I probably missed a bunch of people. 2.) I'd rather not have commentary, but as long as it doesn't add lag to the matches then I'm okay with it. 3.) The weekends would be the best time to do something like this. -
I agree that neutral is complete garbage against Ragna...It's like playing a Hakumen that can dash T.T However, his pressure and mixup is garbage compared to some of the other cast. His overhead kick (he sticks his elbow in the air to telegraph) can really only be done at the beginning of a blockstring. After that he either has to reset, end pressrue, or throw out a Gauntlet Hades (which is a free combo for you). The only legit moves he can use to reset pressure are Dead Spike and 6D > j.D, anything else can be poked or barrier jumped out of while he dashes towards you. After a Dead Spike in pressure, most Ragnas go for a 2a or 5b depending on how far they are, parry or DP can beat both of these options. If you decide to setup the orb at full screen, watch for them to either try and jump over you and hit wit a crossup j.B or use the lowest part of j.C's hitbox to hit you in the face.

What should my new gamertag be?
-
Welp guys, I am officially going on my hiatus now (college is over yay). I won't be able to play on XBL for probably about a month but it may be more. The account, Xbox, and internet I have been playing on aren't actually mine, so I'll probably be under a different gamertag when I return. Even though I have the game on playstation, the internet at my house is unplayable. I'll re-friend all of you when I get my new account GGs to all until I return. Edit:
-
Even though I got destroyed, GGs to everyone I played over the past couple of days: Nineball, NeoGioo, megajib, he who shall not be named, Owner, MetalSonic, Blurred Relief, Blood6Raven, Fin FNA, (geez hehehe...there are a lot more and you know who you are, sorry for not mentioning you, but I'm tired).
-
GGs to a lot of people: Blood6Raven and Pippy McPip Guk(for lowering my PSR), JoshuaVv, Ctrlaltwtf, lxMetalSonicxl, Shy Link, Terumi Orochi, Undying Gotankz, (for good old fashioned player matches). And Darkzero r (for raising my PSR).

GGs LionHeart A.K.A AceKillahx A.K.A MMS False Profit The names... ...they won't stop!!!

Oh yeah Gold?: Guards will be broken :3 no escape

Thanks...Yo, how in the hell are you supposed to get out of Relish's pressure? I'm trying to stop just mashing DP constantly because that's...well...hit or miss really. It seems like he can just do what he wants until the Ignis gauge runs out. But damn that takes a long time. I meant to record one of our matches and figure out when I should DP...but I doofed.

GGs Undying Gotunks, Gold Champion, Freezama, and a couple of others. ...Oh neutral...one day I will figure you out AND GLORY WILL BE MIIINNNNEEEEE!!!!!!!
