I also started out playing online too, and did very well in my first tournament ever (4th place)... but know what I know now, online is pretty bad for players and a competitive FG scene as a whole IMO. (for the reasons I mentioned, plus other reasons). But I guess I'm just from a completely different scene with a completely different outlook on this stuff, and I'm not gonna sit here and tell you guys that you're wrong for doing your own thing. Anyways, I'll still be playing with you guys if you decide to make that lobby. Hit me up if you do.

What I mean is that it will still teach bad habits. Especially when you develop tactics that only work on people that don't know any better. lol. Til you show to a major in-person, and not know how to handle it. :P

I wouldn't mind joining the room. But I can't say that playing against people who also don't know what they're doing is gonna help you improve... but still sounds like a fun idea.

wow, I guess that's actually pretty bad then.... seeing that it's totally random that she even gets the bat. D: Nothin wrong with losing 47 outta 50. It doesn't necessarily mean you're "bad" either, just lacking experience. Hell, exactly one year ago I was losing like 50 games straight in AH3.... 10 months later, I'm running through NEC and 3-0 grand finals. But glad to hear you got a mic too, I'll be online later tonight, so if you wanna play some I'll be on psn.

Yeah ggs Azure. I'm thinking I might use Makoto as my main. I usually don't even use this type of character in FG's, but she's pretty fun.... And lol at Platinum bats. Took me a while to realize that was actually invincible. xD

I don't like online for a lot of reasons.... No one talks. And you can't really get a feel for frames.... Like if I block an attack and get CH'd, I have to ask myself, was that previous attack + on block, or was I late to attack, or was it online delay that caused me to get CH'd? Then there's always the chance of slightly adjusting your combos to work online (which then hurts you when you play offline). The list goes on.... Plus, coming from a FG community that actively plays in-person almost every week.... playing online just makes me sad. EDIT : sent friend request

Thanks Azure, hopefully I can get some games in with all them some time soon. Looking forward to finally playing offline games again!! I'll prolly be on psn for a bit as well..... as long as I can stand being online at least. D:

I'm in the FL Blazblue group, and the list shows like 5 different people from Jacksonville...... but I was already told there were players in Jacksonville.

Just gonna ask for the last time before I stop trying..... Is anyone in Jacksonville interested in playing games, offline, in Jacksonville? Azure, you said there are some players there right? I would be willing to drive there on Fridays or Saturdays, at any time (sun up to sun down, doesn't matter). I'd like to play this game, and actually pretty interested in learning it.... but not online.

Extend's netcode is good. But honestly I don't think that should even be a factor for you..... you've already got good people to play against in person. D: speaking of which.... I miss NC. GA's fighting game scene seems like non-existent the further you get from ATL (and I'm like 4 hours away. lol).

I know I've already posted about a month ago (but hopefully someone new sees my post. lol)... but anyone on the eastern side of GA wanna play games? Melty, Arcana....I'll even buy / learn Blazblue if people are willing to play. Been here for two months and have yet to play any offline games with anyone. D: Gonna finally check out the facebook page as well too I guess.... Seems so hard to find anyone to play games offline. -___-

With Extend being released in the US, are you Jacksonville guys gonna be playing more offline games? Thinkin about getting Extend but not really wanting to buy a brand new game if I'm just gonna be playing it online.

KBD is Korean Backdash. And yeah.....Most of Tekken isn't even fun to play competitively. Actually, I don't even play the newer ones anymore (Tekken 6 and TTT2, after finally playing it at NEC) and I've actually won tournaments in Tekken 6 before. D: But what I meant is if you can KBD, everything else just comes easy (it's pretty difficult for most people).... There's a reason why most US Tekken players play on pad. :P

Do what I did, and learn how to properly kbd in Tekken on stick. Then switch to whatever game you're playing....you won't have any execution errors after that. :P

Yeah we'll play again. In the mean time, back to finding a character in SC5....

lol.The matches weren't bad. Lots of projectiles and 5D Mai kicks. Also yeah, I'll look into getting the new version of BB when it comes out. At least learn some bnb's or whatever since a lot of you guys play it.

Fun games Azure. KOFXIII online, the only place where regular jump ins are like overheads. :P
