  1. I'm thinking there may be cuts required in terms of tournament games we run. This is mostly because GG and BBCS2 will have a majority of the action. Vampire Savior, AH3, and MB have relatively low numbers at every turnout. I'd like feedback as to what tournament you'd like to see. I'll be posting a poll on the facebook page, please vote there. https://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=question&id=190363424359964 Full rules on a hopefully stable NCI webpage in the next week.
  2. Etrium was closed the entire week, and they didn't reply to any of my contacts. But if we can lock them down it will be the venue. The back-up plans are GameCenter (Despite the people numbers) first and last resort SJSU.
  3. September 3rd. September 3rd. September 3rd. September 3rd. September 3rd. September 3rd. September 3rd. September 3rd. September 3rd. With any luck, 100 people through various publicity lol

  5. Take care of our Norcal Taokaka!
  6. The original idea of 3PM because SSF4 Pools will inevitably take people out of the bracket to watch certain things, and the fact we have a hard shutdown deadline at 11PM, if I remember correctly. I'd anticipate people grabbing eats at around noon and before, and dinner later on. This is the first I've heard about the GG Singles being held the same day, but if it's in the same BYOC general area it should be fine. But 1PM can be done. However a lot of people already are travelling with the assumption of 3PM, and most might not check this. Also I'm going to be delayed as well in the moving because of hotel arrangements, and 1PM will be difficult to match. Also, most of the BYOC will be CRT, but huey and the rest seem to have the HDTV situation covered, so we should be alright on setups. I need to just stop thinking and have fun tomorrow and stop watching this thread like a vulture, lol. ~Chun
  7. Team Tournament is in the BYOC Area, highly unlikely to be streamed. The recordings will be done and uploaded however. Friday, Tourney planned for 3PM in the BYOC Area. Pre-made teams, 3v3. If you have no team we will match-make based on different regions. 30$ A team (10$ A head) Stream for Singles is a different story.
  8. If I remember correctly TheBBVLog will be recording matches from the Singles, and huey is recording the pre-pools team top 8.
  9. The main reason August is being pushed back is because A: The Venues have been terrible in communication outside of GameCenter, and B: Most of the SoCal, Local T/O Scene organizers are unable to attend; Rin is currently waiting upon confirmation of most people in attendance to publish a new BBVLOG promotion clip. I regret that this move had to be made, but the circumstances outside my control have left me no choice, and I hope that the September date will meet everyone's expectations of quality. ~Chun
  10. I've been contacting PNW, SoCal, the Venues, and the local usual attendees for the last two and a half months and re-balancing all associated schedules and media for the promotion of the event, on top of planning for the next 3 months into the new season. I already know to cater to every single person's needs is a stretch, and are prioritizing different groups. I'm fully aware of the consequences, and trust that you understand I have things under control, and an event will happen. ~Chun
  11. I guess I would need a team myself... Hm... huey shtkn and me for team "WE RUN THIS THING"? Hahaha
  12. This isn't only about the people, it's about the communication from the Venues we have, and the TO's availability and the guest availability syncing with the promotion. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
  13. I'm in plans to move it to the first Saturday of September. More details as they come about.
  14. It's top 2 from each pool move on to semis right? Pool 9 looks homely.
  15. If you know his actual full name as registered you could probably find out lol
  16. Lol 2GB is my roommate, suddenly awkward. Xie (Hatsune Miku) and 2 Jins. And a Noel. So I wonder how big the brackets are, hahaha.
  17. Friday, Friday, Tournament on Friday~ Everyone's looking forward to mashing D~
  18. http://evo2k.com/tournament-schedule/ MK9 and SSF4:AE have pools from 8AM to 6PM. Pools for BB, MvC3, and T6 are Saturday.
  19. RULES OF THE 3V3 TEAM TOURNAMENT: Friday, Day 1 of EVO, BYOC Area, please bring consoles, as displays should be plentiful according to previous EVO intel. Team Pot Divide 1st 70% 2nd 20% 3rd 10% 10$ A Head Double Elimination Character Locked (Character on Registration), No Doubles or Triples Best of 1 Match Brackets will be random numbered. The only discrepancy: Pokemon Format (Send players as you go) or KOF Secret Format (1st 2nd and 3rd Reveled At Time) We'll start in the afternoon, and location will be re-updated once a section of the BYOC is found. Looking forward~ ~Chun
  20. It'd be somewhat difficult to reschedule it, but I'd have to move it to August 20th, and I don't know if that's enough advance notice for the other venues; I've also already told PNW and SoCal the 27th, so I'll need to re-consult with them since there's a few other people that can't make that day. In short I'll see what the reception is to both days, but it's cutting it closer, and if there's no change, I can't move it from the 27th. ~Chun
  21. Back from Gamecenter. I play Kapool and Gedlav. Best run away animation and griefing for 1000, Gedlav to run over people for 2000. What a fun place.
  22. I totally messed up Southtown with Gamecenter. I blame the lack of me ever going to arcades nowadays.
  23. SJSU Classrooms and NCI at DeVry were all considered with Fire Marshall regulations, I've never overlooked this. This decision was made from the talk with the owner himself; you're asking NCI to risk the license of a relatively new and great arcade everyone enjoys, and we don't manage the general public capacity on a Saturday night. I've already talked with Myung over the phone personally and there will be no change, things are under control. Cutting games has little to do with shaving the number of people to arrive; if we kept it at BBCS and GG even most people sign up for those tournaments anyway.
