  1. I just got off the phone with Myung from Gamecenter, regarding the size restrictions, including the Fire Marshall max capacity limit of the arcade, and the outlook on a given Saturday. Gamecenter is definitely off the table given these facts alone; the number of people for NCI + a regular business day on a Saturday night will easily exceed the cap. However for future NCIs or the regular ranbats, Gamecenter sounds like a choice place to switch venues up, and I would be happy to support it. ~Chun
  2. That's all fine and the points you make are valid, but what I need is a size estimate, not a reason why to go to Gamecenter (I already am fully aware of why people like it, that's not what the issue is). I've already thought about Gamecenter for the past month, all I need is the questions I have answered regarding size and capability of the internet connection for live streaming. I need actual scale/sq. ft size estimates because if we do use that arcade, take into consideration that the general public that has never heard of NCI will be there for the regular business at Gamecenter on Saturday. Capacity may be an issue given the number of people participating from different areas and the subsequent publicity that will be prepared in advance. Regardless, I want people to know everything is pretty under control, and the venue should sort out smoothly. ~Chun
  3. Gamecenter is on the list of future venues for this season, but the biggest concern I get is size. Super NCI will hold approximately 100 people, and from the people I know that regularly go to that arcade, that's not a lot room (Though I haven't been there personally) If I could get an idea of the size of the area it would give me a better idea and ways to work around it.

    Pre-Evo event?

From The Henderson/Las Vegas Thread: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?8258-Henderson-Las-Vegas-Area "Location: Gemini Arcade Palace, 4180 South Sandhill Road" This seems to be the most recent tournament venue; however I do remember another arcade or comic-shop referenced to me by Macc last year, he'd be the best person to contact.
  5. Keeping you all Updated: Possible venues for the major, SUPER NCI held August 27th are both Eudemonia in Berkeley, and Etrium in Union City. Both are being contacted/in talks and one of the two will hopefully be our location. More info as it comes. ~Chun
  6. So I registered for EVO. I'm committed. I can help run the team BB tournament on Friday, since it seems pool play is Saturday. We'll need 3 more consoles, given EVO has enough HD Monitors. huey and I currently are confirmed to bring console setups. ~Chun
  7. Oh, right, I should probably post in this thread. I'll be making it to this Evo (For Once). My Litchi is pretty free right now however, CS2 changes and no real practice time, haha. If you need some help with the side tournament stuff, I wouldn't mind lending a hand. I'm looking forward to finally meeting some of you East Coast, Central, and foreign players, and having the opportunity to just have fun with fighting games with you all and the rest of the West Coast crew. ~Chun
  8. YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO BOUGHT THE TOMOYO AFTER FANDISK.

  10. So while I was weeabooing it up all about Hatsune Miku and Vocaloid in General, how'd things run overall?
  11. The first post has been updated with relevant information on location, what to expect, and the events to be held. Any questions should be posted now before I leave for LA.
  12. How about for the Major in August?
  13. The current situation is as follows: Tournaments that will be run: BlazBlue Arcana Heart 3 Guilty Gear Tournaments that are Probably not happening: Melty Blood Mortal Kombat 9 Since we're on a time limit for this venue as well, I will have a few instructions for the people I've already contacted to work with me for NCI. More info as it come about, NCI in two weeks. ~Chun
  14. We are confirmed for July 2nd @ DeVry University. I will have another person proxy me as a host, more info about what tournaments will be run later.
  15. Just thought in case anyone wanted to know, even though I'm going to Anime Expo, I WILL HAVE PLANS FOR A JULY NCI LINED UP. So look forward to it guys.
  16. If I get better quick enough I'll catch a carpool with someone Friday. I have yet to go to Rodzilla's place and making it rain with Capri Suns sounds godlike.
  17. That Honnou assist, it's top tier. Stay godlike.
  18. NCI is cancelled for June 4th. Hope everyone has fun at Revelations next Weekend and look forward to the last Saturday in August!
  19. I haven't gotten any confirmation from SJSU for this Saturday's NCI. I realize I'm cutting it extremely close given it's in 4 days, but the hope is it'll pull through. Until then I thank all of you for your patience. ~Chun
  20. Really interested in going, but room and board as well as a ride is a huge issue. Really want to play Omni IRL too... ~Chun
  21. Here's the current state of affairs: -June NCI will happen if I can lock down the CS Club venue again. This will be the last NCI until the last major August when I hopefully will have Eudemonia down with me for the event. -I am going to Anime Expo 100%, bought my ticket and everything. July I had originally planned nothing happening for both this convention reason, and the same month being EVO. if you still want to organize an NCI, the CS Club requires me to be in the room at all times as part of a security issue and law from the campus. My name is on a list of approved room monitors as per agreement to campus department. In other words, if I'm not there, the CS Club cannot host an NCI. -If an NCI for July is wanted, there will need to be alternate arrangements, and I'll pass over plans to someone else familiar to the scene after obtaining the arrangements myself. ~Chun
  22. I hand out the link to this thread (The tinyurl one) until the web-space gets put up, the secondary links were originally there in-place to help show the other events. Hoping to get the web-space up this summer.
  23. I have a pretty busy convention schedule this summer, thus minimal cash, but if I body everyone at NCI next month to make up the funds, I'll probably go to ReveLAtions. Keyword being "IF". ~Chun
  24. The secondaries were originally in place to make room for other northern california events, as per a previous template. The last NCI of this season will be June if I can lock down the venue. It seems like a good idea to BBCSII the end of the year, as well as the other games. Big NCI will be in August again, in talks currently. Sorry for the stringent updates, as it is currently my exam period. ~Chun
