  1. It all looks pretty standard, we'll have ample room and ample table setups, I have seen pictures of the place and are planning accordingly. I'd bring an extension cord and other assorted power equipment just in case.
  2. Everything's been hit confirmed, Batman please ask if we can get a direct connection rather than a wireless stream, as it provides more consistent results. The event is to set-up starting around 12:30PM or 1PM. My primary concerns are coordinating the equipment and getting the stream/recording to work seamlessly before March. Particularly, magz, Rin, Coopa, Tsubasa, and Spirit Juice, I don't know anything about running the equipment so I'm counting on you guys to coordinate and prepare somewhat before Saturday. I anticipate 3 equipment switches: PS2 Tourney Matches SWITCH: PS3 Tourney Matches SWITCH: PS2 Tourney Matches SWITCH: PS3 Tourney Matches We have some difficulties working it out every time, so January and February are meant to be practice runs, I'm not going to be worried if we run into a couple snafus now if they save us later. Otherwise, that's it folks. Register on the front page your equipment, and I'll see you all Saturday. Now I can actually rest, hahaha.
  3. I appreciate your timely replies to us Batman. I'll put in a good word with the commissioner :P.
  4. I don't know about anything before I stepped up with SJSU, so I wouldn't know.
  5. Tuesday we'll know for sure, but the plans have changed for now, hahaha.
  6. My correspondent with the University and Department says they never got back to us. SJSU venue this month is officially not possible. Current tentative venue is Devry University in Fremont. Updating front page with relevant info now. Also, equipment bringers, please sign on the spreadsheet for this month, as the DeVry club crew have a couple of setups to provide as well. Thanks everyone for your patience.
  7. Yes, I've only been working about them for the past three weeks, lol. There are some campus-approved individuals that are allowed to freely oversee and open the room for use listed somewhere; I'm not one of them, so I need to be proxy someone who is until that person shows up next day to oversee the event. Unfortunately I hold minimal power in this chain of events. Current back up plans: 1) Cancel NCI for January, Compensate by Lowering Venue February 2) Move January's NCI date to the last Saturday of January, where campus will be open. Will subsequently make February's the last Saturday, and from then on, NCI would be the last Saturday of every month this year. 3) Call the venue referred by Coopa which charges 10$ a head per person to hold venue in South Bay, continue February Schedule, etc. While this is happening I still am stuck on negotiations because of the venue lock-down for March, so please be patient with me. I treat this pretty seriously and it's become pretty much my part-time job, hahaha. Apologies if this causes any inconvenience to any of you. ~Chun
  8. The campus is not open. I'm waiting on replies from the CS Club officers who are waiting on the contacts for the building we host the event in every time; we go through this approval process every time, you just don't hear about it because usually the campus is open and the event is approved immediately by the departments. Camping refers to me sleeping in the room till morning to keep the doors open for the event, otherwise we won't be able to get inside Saturday in the first place. Locksmiths usually will unlock if there's an approved event, but sometimes forget, or do not approve in time. It looks easy, but the process is there, lol.
  9. Yes, I'm in the process of securing a venue for that date, but for sure it's happening, and we're looking forward to seeing you guys again
  10. The last confirmation I can possibly get is probably Monday. If I don't hear anything back by then I'll make a hard decision to do the camp out or not.
  11. What are you talking about, Ping Pong has the most godlike mixup game ever.
  12. Thanks for stepping up and offering a venue for NCI. Please PM me your most direct line of contact (Phone number with the head of your operations/coordinator would be most appreciated) and we can work from there; January may be too late in the game right now, but I'm still considering March.
  13. Merry Christmas. To Noel especially. Lolololol tiers.
  14. I've called most all and every suggestion in terms of hobby shops in the Bay Area for a reasonably priced venue, and the fallback currently is a 10$-a-head venue in the south bay, which I haven't followed up with because of the current situation. I don't want to cancel January, so I'm doing everything in my power to make it work.
  15. Here's the current situation for January: I'm looking at the CS Club again for January, but I still need contact with the locksmiths to confirm the room opening and closing. Worst comes to worse I will have to camp out overnight in the club room to keep the place open for the next day. I'll keep people posted as we continue, but for now operate under the assumption it works out and it's still January 8th. Any cancellation will be posted at the front page immediately, and our next holding will be February. ~Chun
  16. If a ride is possible, I will consider making it out to this.
  17. SVGL does have internet connection, that's how Techinka is updating songs and scores to the net. It's more like the connection can't handle actual users or a service-level wireless.
  18. I don't think there's an event planned for the 20th at this time. Rather, it should be the 18th, I need to fix that...
  19. I asked a while back in the case we might want to work out some events or local tournaments with SVGL, but after hearing SSF4:AE is going down for 13k+ USD, I highly doubt recommending it since Console version would sooner come out.
  20. If Coopa makes the next Norcal Install, it is more than likely we will have a dedicated HD PS3 stream by Coopa, and probably a dedicated PS2 setup by magz. I have yet to discuss with them in detail about this though.
  21. Ok real talk, stop crapping up my thread, do this in the Norcal Thread or something, lol Also huey ask PNW scene if they can come down in March, and what day is best.
  22. Hey huey, can you do me a favor and figure out if PNW would be down to drive down to NorCal for a big event in March? I posted in the PNW thread and got no replies to it.

  24. Preeze be not e-fighting with e-penor in dis fread thx you
  25. I'm probably going to fall back on SJSU for January after learning I could get the room available, but I'll keep everyone posted.
