Thanks Ginseng and Honnou for clearing up that situation. I've been waiting for a reply for a while so it's good to know the situation as it is now. It's starting to get really late in the game, and advertising is an issue. I'm already talking to the CS Club about the SJSU venue because I had to delay the submission request because we were waiting on Eudemonia. It should be fine. I'll give it till Friday for EU, but if that's not happening/working out, then I'm going to put SJSU into full swing. The format for now is that there is a possibility BBCS will be team-oriented, or likewise for other games. However, I'm also considering the fact that since PNW and I believe SoCal will be in attendance, singles will be more favorable. There is no NCI in April. ~Chun

Sorry about that, it's midterm-week and I've been waiting on EU's reply. However, they haven't gotten back to us at all, despite expressing interest. If come Monday there's no final talk and arrangement, I'm going to talk and set the venue at SJSU. Most of the plans and headache of organizing would have been long over but people insisted on EU so I asked to try for it. Community first, after all. Sorry about that huey. Letting you all know that your comments have been read and discussed, and are already being worked on. Expect some sort of solid plan by the end of next week.

EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS POST, AND GIVE ME FEEDBACK. I value everyone's feedback in my decisions and plans. The venue itself was not a problem. The big thing that is the concern here is the current lineup and estimated time frame of arrival and parking. The biggest thing being the parking garages with their lock-in policies for the given time frame. It is probably safe to say festivities will take until AT LEAST midnight. This time usually means most parking garages in Berkeley will be doing their closed-doors/Car Lock-IN in the general structures that are the most convenient for equipment bringers and setup people. In other words, THEY LOCK CARS OVER THE WEEKEND IN SOME OF THE NEARBY GARAGES. Also, the counter-argument could possibly be "Show up on time", and to start the tournaments earlier (And given time estimates at testing for Heartful Edition of NCI, that would have to be 10 AM, 12PM Tournament Start), but it is relatively unreasonable, because it is Berkeley. This cannot be easily predicted due to the guests coming (PNW and SoCal finding their way there) and the logistics of setting up equipment/establishing registrations and warm-up periods. I am also concerned for the Money Match/Side gaming that will occur and the congestion that will be generated, because this is still core NCI tradition. However, I'm not completely out of contacting them, as people have complaints at the fallback plan of 3 classrooms and Campus-provided table equipment as some sort of "Ghetto Venue" rather than being inexpensive and comfortable. Oh, and really late, but I've been saying this is March 26th since the first day I ever made this thread, so I emphasize: READ THE PAGE 1 THREAD FOR DATES AND TIMES. ALWAYS. Thank you for your help anyway Crosell, I really appreciated it. For everyone able to read this I updated the first post of the thread. PLEASE read it, as it will answer a lot of your questions.

Still Loaded with work from Physical Therapy schedule changes, two things: 1) There is no NCI for March 5th. Other tournaments are encouraged otherwise. 2) SoCal hasn't given me a solid response but some Socal people seem to be confirmed in a way or another. ~Chun

First off, 2v2 format is NOT completely confirmed, still managing the tournaments in March. The assumption at the moment is that there will be singles for all games across, and a 2v2 as an exhibition at the same time. We're going to need a lot of setups again. Just saying. ~Chun

As long as you registered the setup by the morning I check, you should be set Brett. 1 errs a bit on the late side, I'd much rather start setup just as 11 strikes.

The doors to the place should be open earlier than 11 AM, around 9AM actually, but I set 11AM just in case the university drops the ball on the lockshop. Yes, the stream will have AH3 as mentioned in the first post of the stream schedule.

The Equipment Count Spreadsheet has been updated. PLEASE REGISTER ANY AND ALL EQUIPMENT TO THE SPREADSHEET PRIOR TO BRINGING IT. Also, to celebrate NCI in Heartful February, if you bring Arcana Heart 3 with a FULL SETUP, you'll be EXEMPT FROM VENUE FEE THIS MONTH.
