Hey Vice! Apparament, t'allais venir au tournoi d'hier. Ya qqch qui est arrive?

-
Oh lol, poutine's hardly healthy if that's what you're looking for. :P I'm a bit of a cook myself, so I could look up a couple things if you'd like. I know some good, healthy recipes that taste great too. Hope you don't mind if some have tofu (I'm vegetarian). :P

D'oh! Speaking of MTL dishes, I can't believe I forgot about poutine! Look it up, it's classic Quebec right there.

-
Nah, just felt like doing it, makes it look official since I noticed the other tourney threads do it, so why not? I would like to have the right ranking, though, for the sake of it if it's not too much trouble.
-
Yo Eb, I posted the tourney rankings in the tourney thread, but I'm not sure it's accurate. Could you check it out?
-
Yeah, you did, somewhere in the PSN general thread. :P Haha, I've thought about CT vs. CS and I've honestly no idea which version would win. CS Haku has a lot of things that were put in his favor compared to his CT version, but he did lose close-combat tools too. Now, the thing about Haku's zone tools is that he can space CT Haku. So he basically can control the pace of the match better, which is an important factor. On the other hand, CT Haku's 6c is much more of a threat since it leads into 4-4.5k with just two stars (on CH). CS Haku has better mixup and pressure, but CT still has old 6a/b and hotaru... so it might be even, but there isn't any way to test it. Opinions are cool, but yeah, can't pass them off as real info. Perhaps as questions? :P

Well, anyone who can zone has that advantage against Haku. Personally, Haku's worst matchups in CS are Mu and Ara because of how they zone. Mu can basically put Haku on lockdown and there's nothing he can do about it, so he has to stay on the offensive which isn't alway the smartest thing to do. The match is easier if you can put her on the defensive, but it's still more ambiguous than fighting Lambda (which is, imo, a very straightforward matchup). As for Valk, I just noticed Spark put up a post in the Valk matchup thread that gives some insight. My take is simply that Valk not only outdamages Haku, but he has very slippery mobility, and his mixup is just evil. He's hard to pin down and he can run a train on your ass if he so wishes. Simply put, he's the one who best controls the pace of the match. Hope that answers your questions.

Lol, hell if I know. I wanted to become an engineer in physics, but that didn't work out. So I said fuck it, I want money. Now I'm in JMSB studying finance to make millions.
... Not quite as noble as wanting to help people, but I figure that I need to work on bettering myself at this point in time. I'd like to make this world a better place too, but a career comes first.
I can't recall if you told me, but what are you studying? Huh... "African Studies" was it? :P -
Eh, I don't know. I'm not convinced that a degree is necessary to get a good job (outside of fields that require one, at least) since experience counts for more. But yeah, if you're going to go the way of education, then at least being in the B- and up range is good to have. :P But really, I wouldn't stress too much over it. School's hardly all there is to get ahead...

I can't even open them as it is. I can view them through another player I have, but I otherwise can't do anything at all. I'll look into it more tomorrow, maybe I'll find something out then. Is your LD that bad, though? I've never noticed anything wrong. And why is it only now that you've been diagnosed with it? Kind of a long time to go without knowing... Of course, I don't have any disability like that, so I wouldn't know, just curious. Well, just hang in there. Grades aren't everything. I knew a dyslexic guy back in CEGEP when I was taking pure sciences, and while he had more trouble than most, he got through just fine. I think you can also get some concessions for exams such as more time since you have an LD, but I'm not sure (unless you already know).
-
Exams? I've somehow been having one per week ever since mid-terms. I want a break already, lol.
Grades were real good with straight A's at mid-terms, but they've been going down what with the constant exams. I'm going to end up a C student at this rate, haha. How about you? Managing to hold up I hope?
Btw, that realplayer sp thing you recommended has an awesome converter I could put to good use. But it can't convert the Sendatu vids. :\
I've no idea what's wrong since .mp4 files are generally not that stubborn at resisting conversion, so I'm thinking Sendatu might have tampered with vid security. Or something. My computer knowledge isn't pro or anything, but still. ._. -
Haha, I've no idea tbh. I haven't played any really good Valks yet, so I can't say whether he's on the mark or not. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but I'd take his post with a grain of salt. My opinion is still that Valk is OP and Haku has some trouble dealing with him (he's slippery, fast, and his evil mixup leads into big damage, basically), but that's about it. I need more match exp. Hopefully you get Valk soon, idk why MS is holding out. You'd think they'd fix it since people pay money for Live, but no. >_>
