How could that happen even by accident, if the game wasn't designed to let you do TB after GF? That alone is news, whether it combos or not.

This. If it isn't to severe, we could hit people in the air at nearly fullscreen. I'd hate for the bolt to fly up at too much of an extreme angle, or else we'd end up with people like hazama jumping into the "dead zone" and then just chaining us with impunity from there. Anybody else wonder about that "alternate input" for Spark Bolt? Certainly there aren't just two ways to do the same spark bolt. Here's hoping the 623 version does something different. I'm guessing either anti-air spark or some kind of reversal. Both would be incredibly welcome.

Potemkin. FRCs everywhere. FRC on Hammerfall break what. Also, it looks like the old buster is back, with 180 damage to boot. Who needs a super throw. It seems like Pot wants to get you in the corner and keep you there. Especially since a bunch of meter gain got move from Heat Knuckle to Heat Extend. The notion of guessing wrong with a Heat Knuckle, FRCing the whiff and then doing pot buster just amuses the shit out of me. I don't know what that FRC on air pot buster even means.

For Pot's Slide Head, I understand that you can't OTG relaunch anymore. But they still lay there for a while after going prone so you have some time to close distance, right?

Yeouch. Maybe not. You know, while I played the shit out of GG back in the day, learning combos and stuff, I never learned frame data and matchup stuff. This is going to be an adventure.

Wait so... you can p-cancel the JG AFTER you actually punch with it? That seems a bit odd. I'm suddenly not sure I follow this combo. EDIT: oh wait I guess you mean you'd just use JG to cancel the 6H and do 6H again. While this may be kinda hard, couldn't you also just do that with hammer fall canceling 6H?

I think that's because at least in Johnny's case he actually GOT one of his EX moves: that air super. I'm honestly happy we actually have something to talk about here now. So the changes are welcome. What happened with the second showcase of Potemkin? The one not involving slide head. He hits them with cl.5S, they jump, he does... something, and then HKs them. What was that "something"? Was it Justice Gauntlet? Can he manually cancel it now? I... guess that's useful? What I really want is for JG to actually be something you can combo out of without 50 meter, but alright...

Yeah basically. It's pretty worthless to try and do against any zoner fullscreen really. Better to hang onto it and have them be defensive and jump around like fruitloops instead of trying to range poke you. So, the way in which litchi sets her staff down initially determines how it flies when she makes it fly around? That is damn good to know. I'll have to check that out in training mode so I know what the animations look like. Also it's damn good to know that her DP isn't rapid cancellable. Makes dealing with it if you think its coming a lot easier.

And of course, special mention goes to 3C > GF whiff. Basically where you'd GF at the end of a mag combo, you instead do it a bit late and it yanks in their forced neutral tech, and the GF whiff recovers fast enough to where you can basically do anything you want (throws, 5B, blah blah). We can have old-school oki if we want, basically. I know people probably already knew this, but I think it needed to be posted here at some point.

Like I sad earlier I'm coming from Tager, so: I feel you. Oh boy do I feel you. Yeah, I'm used to 5C being one of my moves with really good reach. With Relius it's tragically short-ranged. Unless you were damn near right on top of them with 5B, you might as well just go right into 236C. Or do something with Ignis maybe. I haven't messed with him a whole lot yet.

You're probably right on the first count. I mean, he couldn't have had kids (or likely a wife) until after he popped out of the Boundry about 20(?) years before the game started, and he was pretty clearly a crazy fuck even before that if Valkenhayne hates him so hard. "She was also crazy" seems like the only logical explanation. Either that or Relius is a really good actor. Well at any rate, the purple bastard is the only other character that really piques my interest right now. He's just so stylin'. Kinda reminds me of Eddie a bit, too...
