  1. Well guys, I finally have all my recording shit set up. I'm having some issues with getting a black bar on the right side of my videos, but they're still perfectly watchable. I uploaded a huge backlog of videos to youtube in roughly chronological order. I like to think I've gotten progressively less dumb over the months, but it's pretty hit or miss depending on my state of mind at the time. I tend to not take ranked terribly seriously. So without further ado, here's my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Darlos9D Enjoy. Comments and trolling welcome. EDIT: I've added in comments and annotations. Because hey why not.
  2. I'll enjoy absurd 720 pull. Possibly more than the super armor. Hell, probably definitely more since I've seen 6B stuffed more often than not in videos. Also a faster Hammer is nice I guess. Oh well, it's not like I don't know this score. I'll still play Tager despite constantly complaining about him, just as I always have. I'm a sucker for his hard scientific love.
  3. That... that was depressing. I'm all befuddled from the Lambda fight but happy Tager won, and then Jin just fucking steamrolls the poor guy. "Hey bro I like how you properly defend and do pretty good at seeing my shit coming but fuck you anyway."
  4. Can hardly even punish him when he pulls himself in with the chain, now that instant block is nerfed. I loved doing that
  5. ... man, what is up with those announcers? Oh my
  6. For a second I thought the 6A ate the hit... but nope. Just whiffed. I was puzzled as well. Well whatever, I'll take what I can get, lol.
  7. I'm pretty sure all moves that cancelled another move auto-track, so I would imagine 720 does as well. Actually I'd be pretty disappointed if it didn't. Also good luck running away in cases when it goes as fast in that video. Holy mother of god that is amazing. I kinda wonder what the exact input for cancelling that soon would be, though. Is it literally just "do XYH and then input 720 as fast as possible"? Or is there more to it?
  8. Does AC have more lower coverage on its hitbox now? It seems like he's grabbing people out of the air who are lower than he used to be able to. Like, how he can just do 2B->AC on a lot of prone opponents.
  9. I was pretty amused at around 8:41 in that video. 6A pretty much ate a DP and left Mu open for a FC. Hot shit.
  10. I'm pretty sure he'll still have bullshit throw setup opportunities aplenty. I wouldn't worry about that too much.
  11. So basically, the plan is to guard break people and then hit them with guaranteed throws? Sounds hilarious.
  12. Tager gettin bitches pregnant Oddly, I think out of all these things I'm most interested in Sledge apparently being faster overall. Assuming that change still applies.
  13. You'd lose ten dollars.
  14. Wasn't there some new info in the latest blog post too? Or am I misinformed?
  15. No, I was also Tager. I was seriously at neutral, then held back (not backdash, just back), and just then the other tager did spark bolt, and I ate it. This has happened on more than one occasion. It usually happens because I tech off the ground or something across the screen, then just realize that the other Tager's spark meter is full. So I go to block and then... that happens, even though I clearly anticipated it and didn't do anything but block before it reached me.
  16. Here's another dumb question: are there any startup frames on blocking? Like, the actual action of blocking. I only play online so it could just be lag, but I seem to have an absurdly hard time blocking things on reaction. For instance I'll be across the screen from Tager, and I'll hold back to block just before a spark bolt comes out (before the animation even starts) and I'll still eat it. I get that there's some lag, but it just seems like there's some kind of absurdly long startup on blocks in particular, because it doesn't feel like other moves take that long to start up after I hit a button.
  17. Nobody wants to accept the fact that people suck equally everywhere. It's just too depressing.
  18. Maaan, I've only been here a year. I'm originally from NC. Well actually I'm originally from NY, but I moved away from there before I was 10 and didn't even know what a fighting game was at that point. Still, I'm sure I'm tainted or something.
  19. Okay fine so not every character needs a plethora of wakeup options, I get it. And in reality I don't really tech roll much at all, due to Tager's big hitbox just making it a liability. But why you gotta say things about my blocking? So cruel, people...
  20. Guh. If they ditch the quick getup then I think Tager (and probably some other characters) is going to need some real freaking wakeup options besides "block" and "super." Where's my frame 1 invlun 360A/AC arksys? I'll agree with getting rid of invuln frames on rolling though. As well as making the back roll distance shorter. It's kinda balls that I can be right on top of a guy and do a 6C and they can roll out of range of it.
  21. I'm eternally torn between the GG and BB cast because they both have their overall reasons for being likeable. The GG cast has a lot of immediate panache and cool factor, just because their designs are a lot cooler. As far as actual personality goes though I like the BB cast more. But I digress. I already said that I get what people are saying about the ground tech system and that I'd be okay with revamping it a bit. I just feel that completely nixing the system BB has in place is a bit of overkill, since it is interesting on account of being different from other fighting games. No need to get all salty at me.
  22. Sigh. I get the point of what you guys are saying. I really do. But I also like having some options when I'm the guy on the floor, too. Does that make me casual or something? I dunno. I just like it because it seems more realistic to me that a fighter who got knocked down wouldn't always just get back up in the same way. Taking that away would feel like the characters were being forced to act dumber and more robotic just for the sake of some meta-game. Also, 3D fighters tend to have a lot of options for getting up off the ground, and I don't really see people complain about those. Of course, maybe I'm just talking to the wrong people. To be fair though, I'd be okay with re-vamping the way tech rolls work or something.
  23. I'm not sure I'm on board with this whole "ground teching is bad" thing. Maybe I'm just too much of a scrub to have a proper opinion on the issue, but it seems to me that guessing games are the whole damn point of fighting games. If everything was simple and guaranteed then there wouldn't be much of a contest. So it seems like a weird argument to say that tech rolling is a bad ability because it makes the person on offense have to guess more. So? That's combat, man. Trying to guess what the enemy might do next. BB just handles it differently. It just sounds like people are asking that a certain aspect of the fight be just like other fighting games, simply because that's what they're used to in other fighting games. Or something. I dunno. I just know that ground teching is, like, my last complaint about this game.
