  3. Just as I thought. Carl's 3C can now launch grounded opponents in the loketests.
  4. This is an issue of semantics. It sounds like the forward moving propery of the 3C only affects the opponent if they are already down, not if they're standing. So everything might be alright.
  5. Everybody should be lamenting about 8D being blockable (I know I am). But lets keep in mind that it was a VERY VERY VERY VERY STUPID MOVE and needed to be changed. Besides I think its great it takes off guard primer. We might be able to incorporate it more ground blockstrings (assuming they don't crouch). Also here is why Anima having hyper armor is so awesome: How many times has someone just run up and mash jab before backing away from nirvana just to knock her out of her moves. Now they better second guess themselves. I think this is great!!!
  6. No J.2C+[D]>j2147]D[+C is how I do it. I can get 8D to hit very consistently. For the most part you want the opponent to hit the uppermost part of 8D at the right moment and you can get the 2 hit bounce into fermata. keep in mind that you won't be able to get the 2 hit bounce consistently. But atleast you can consistenly get the 8D to hit whether its 2 hits or 1.
  7. So the question is should we go for resets or big damage? I really wanna go for both. Of course there are situational unblockable setups as well. And I'm not just talking about high/lows. I'm also talking about doing an aerial blockstring on the opponent and pushing them into 8D (situational I know but it happens. Thanks j.A). We need to optimize ground combos yes but darnit guys 1 strong ground combo into an ground unblockable setup (high/low), assuming your don't get reversaled, into a really strong air juggle combo will do MORE THAN 10,000 DMG!!! 10,000!!!! IN JUST 2 COMBOS. Of course the better your reset game the better off you'll be. If you can even reset your opponent. Because smart players, like who Zong mentioned, are hard to break. 10,000!!!!!
  8. theoretically your ideas could work considering how Carl can stop the opponent from launching from any of Nirvana's launching moves. The problem is you would need nirvana to already be doing her attack long before you eve press j.B. Besides do you have ideas for ground combos that could compete with his juggle combos, damage wise?

  10. Actually what he did is normally fine (although superjumping would have been better). For some reason Nirvana was hit multiple times. Depending on everyone's position the super usually hits Nirvana once (I believe) which in return causes the attackbox of the move to disappear before Carl lands. Obviously this was not the case.

  12. If you can hit an opposing Nirvana with Cantible (as in she actually goes into her hitstun animation) then she raises off the ground the ground a little bit for the rest of the round.
  13. 6B doesn't work. I could only get it to work with 5C.
  14. Carl would be even more broken if he could mash ground normals. 2a-5a gatlings are good enough. Besides we have j.A to mash which is an awesome move.

  16. It depends on what move he does before it. If you IB the move before 6D then if you can react soon enough have a chance to knock him out of it. It has 35 frames of startup. If you can't react to it all times (which no one can) then you'll need to sit back and block. A gap will eventually come.

  18. Instant block the move before and either jab him out of it or gear super. BY NO MEANS IS THIS EASY TO DO ON REACTION. But it does work. Other wise I'd just hold my ground Carl can't do much against Jin's corner pressure. You just gotta block and respect it.

  22. Carl's strongest combos last atleast 15 seconds. So yeah you can get a love moves in as long as none of them are A attacks.

  24. I think he was going for an unblockable thus he did the 2D too soon.
  25. To spice things up.... Its unsafe if the opponent blocks unless you have Nirvana backing you up. But it can throw the opponent off guard.
