  1. aside form dlc palette i think the one i used the most was black hair green dress green eyes pallette, but i use the dlc colors far more often now, my favorite is, light blue hair, black and light blue mix-ed dress.

  2. well the bang got purple thrown so many times, any just noticed that the nails symbols he plants in the sky deflect lobelia backward =/ lame, also thank goodness they fixed the tech off the ground time i been seeing alot pf players attempting to use tech invincble frames to escape the frogs zap entirely, but in cs it no longer works u will get a blue combo for more free damage, or another set.

Cs pumpkin is almost pointless now, and the nerfs done on the frog cuts what rachel was capable of doing in half, you lose wind, the ability to re-summon it while it was out if the situation calls for it, you lose the opponent wanting to jump away from it saving you wind or forcing them to take risks to avoid its shock, proration makes it shitty to use to even wanna combo off it. and you lose blockstrings that lead into frog eventually hopping its way over to the opponent to continue your pressure which restored on wind

  4. Due to rachel's huge off the groungd hit box many characters get extra damage that they wouldnt get on others, just tagers huge body gives other combos that they couldnt get on others.most of rachels gattlings whiff on characters depending on distance and what might be causing pushback. espically on characters with slmi hitboxs like litchi, and noel(even with wind added sometimes). rachel no longer mix-ups in cs, all her mix-ups have extremely holes, and to mix-up in cs u need a rod there, if the mix-up is blocked you are in stupid trouble. theres no out playing character who jump spam with good pokes like hakumen, or litchi, and rachels air to air is really not good against either. tagers 5a>all of rachels normalls(not possible beating her 2a have tried that one yet)

  5. rachel has no pressure without frog and pumpkin and its difficult to get these two together because players run away so much causing you to waste wind in the process only for u to run into there normals, or start zoning and them fly right past it. Not to mention that everything you do is limited by a wind meter, everything you do no other character is under that limitation. and when you are bursted after using wind it is so hard to get back on your feet..i have lost so many matches after having the life and not being to get my momentum back due to a burst and free pressure.

  6. alright now, you just mentioned a few things about tager in ct that are the same with rachel, rachel also has no invincble dp, however a long invincible backdash is a very good thing to have after instant blocking something and getting 6k no meter(adding spark bolt) off the whiff punish from throwing. rachel normals are slow, and have no range and are easyly barrier guard. you can actually instant block 5b, backdash(tager) or dp before the next 5b comes out. u can barrier her to make her whiff after she did a jump in attack, something on ground, whiff and then punish because rachels normals are stupid on whiff espcially 5b for as short ranged it is.

  7. plus dude as i mentioned before u make on mistake with tager, and you eat so much life without needing meter to do it, cs rachel is nuthin like that she trash compared to ct tager. (then to mention all her normals have less range then tager throw that does 4.5k+)and we are playing online, that 6c combo i did was whiffing after the 5b part, im not sure why i practiced offline and it was working so im got online timing fucked up but i got fucked for that alot because u backdash thrown. anyway im pretty tired, and when im not tired i get really impatient. atleast i got to astral someone to night before i went to bed. =) are using cs rachel when the game comes out by anychance?and why did your astral disconnect?

  8. it may be two pokes for you but it not to pokes for rachel, u have to sit there and endure the whole thing, then hes still in your face to make sure you can do anything with out punmpkin/frog, rachel does not have pressure theres no way to get that close to all the characters that runaway in this game with 5b, unless you let them pressure and make a mistake.

  9. i hope u seen how, although i did beat him, how bang just runs away then as soon as you stop to zone he throws nails and rush rachel down for a free mix-up, like i said before 6-4 rachel is not right. you have to work really hard to keep bang from rushing you, and its far to easy for bang to play keep away. and he gets in easyly. and the person that i astralled, his connection was lagging so hard. and you guys were trolling hard with you 5a clashes.

  11. this match-up is pretty challenging. i can tell its very easy for the litchi players to press buttons all day with there poor pathetic pressure. trying to get free of litchi 's button mashing is very tough. i found lobelia b from a distance to be a good stopper for her j.b, and j.c spam. i normally wait for the litchi to do something unsafe when she doesnt have the staff to help me win this match-up. Zoning is very hard to keep up in this match because she throw the staff forward toward you well before u get a chance to get to much out. when the staff goes forward, then it comes back you have to block or jump it not allowing you to activate rods previously set out.allowing her a free ticket in you face. When doing this tactic the players will running away only when u go toward them. however, when the rods comes close to you they come at u having u deal with two attacks coming and her keeping you in check. the one where she does a big circle spin with the staff, i actually hit her and it still didnt go away, as well as pressure her block. the one wear she jumps on the staff and throws it with her legs covers a large amount of space, and puts you at severe frame disadvantage. and every staff return technique returns the staff to her allowing her to threathen you with her broken dp. to add to that, i feel as though her normals without the staff are still really good against rachel normals, alot of normals shrink her hitbox, come out really fast, and lift her off the ground.Frog set infinite does not work against her because she can just dp through the small whole there is.so you want to kill litchi not set frogs on her. dp kills frog also while rising from a knockdown. If rachel didnt deal good damage, oki, and pressure, then this match would be severely unfair. it reminds me alot of fighting v-13 actually. and cs this match-up is unwinnable there's no reason why litchi should not be able to fuck rachel up each time. it so free for litchi, the only saving grace is air sword iris. You have to play incredibly patient, remember litchi doesnt have good mix-ups her goal is to get a counter combo from you tryin to harm her.
  12. yes it has noel has always hit rachel on crouching with that maove, i think jin's 5a, and one of bangs starters missed on her crouch
  13. good thread man, also to add, razor bear, takes out note midscreen, and running away and j.s prevetns i-no from blindly running at you for an air throw.

Rachel's normals versus everyone else suck tremoundously, they all lack range and/or have bad recovery while underpressure if something is done unsafe on me, sometimes i dont get a full punish knockdown due to not having the range to connect everything.carl can pretty mash whatever he wants on rachel is normals shoo ou fast and have much better range. ragnas 5b kills all rachel normals. no explanation on any of litchis normals versus rachel. v-13 versus rachel even up close v-13 normals come out way faster and have more range. jin's 5d and j.b, bang's normals arent that good. hakumen is untouchable once he gets in, your forced to block. Also voidd, abuses j.2c, i afraid to use that move, its ways to punish it

  15. i been this at busch gardens this whole week, and voidd first introduced me to rachel and her pressure ways while in the corner, im no sure how much better he's gotten but we both go pretty even. Back then i was actually muh more a zoner. but now i rushdown and havent actually been in a fight with my newly discovered rushdown rachel. about lobelia a, it can be jumped and punished on its recovery, people do it to me all the time. in ct it recovers way to slow for what it is, i even think if your close enough to your opponent, it will be thrown past you, and it may be punishable on hit when very close. The thing with her wind, if something is blocked, and theres no enough wind to mix-up, or place down a frog to maintain your offense you hve to retreat. Rachel normals are only good versus tager, however i have found that your 5a spam...is incredibly good versus my normals rachel has nuthing that fast and of that range. fork is to slow.

  16. its not that easy as you know, i have to be very careful with my approach, and im constantly thinking of ways to keep my momentum off the fly without giving my opponent a chance to counter attack or escape. Its a very on the fly kinda thing with her when u do have them under pressure. As far as rushing in, there dp;s, guard points, running away, people chasing me in the airm all sorts of things that prevent me from an easy rush. i have to footies incredibly well while also, keeping an ye on wind usage. oh btw i practiced a new tager specfic combo last night if i land a fork on you, or a low then you will get to see it ^.^

  17. thanks people are making it seem as though rachel is fine, but wait till they run arcoss a person that knows what there doing thats using ragna, carl, litchi, hakumen, or bang the only reason why im strecting the issue so much is because i know what its like when there not as good counter parts(rag, lit,) got in my face and i had to block its incredibly tough to do anything and get bakc to your feet. and it makes the game unenjoyable. now your forced to run from the start of the match to summon gimmicks that are nothing more then jokes now(boosted by a slowly charging wind gauge), all the while everyone is on your ass. ready to deliver you damage you once could deliver to them, momentum that u were the best at, and pressure that made them wish they had prevented you from getting out a single summon, Sorry just releasing stress from encounters that didnt go good for me if ragna, jin, noel, bang, taokaka , carl, caught up to me, or the damage done by hakumen and tager.

  18. dude in order to zonin u have to set stuff up, the second you start to put stuff down both character clear the whole screen in a second and start there pressure on you, and you are not jumping a tk nail throw against bang, and u are not jumping out of a jump.c on block u will be in guard stun. and bang will meet you when you land, you arent jumping overheads on the start-up of your jump either. lobelia does not negate them all it negates only one nail.if your in the air, you cannont avoid the nails, nails take out the pumpkin easyly. and taokaka mobility nufflies having the pumpkin out as well. Gettin both characters under the frog isnt as elementary as you put, both can use there great mobility to dash away from it. i have gotten both characters under the frog after knockdown, or during pressure. but not naked, if i do that then that means the players arent good, both characters have tools that get them in rachels face, and out rachels face with a short amount of time, when both have there supers you are incredibly limited because both supers can go through projectiles(taokaka can catch a cannon shot on its recovery on reaction easyly with hers. tao has no dp, true, the second theres an opnening her drive allows to get to the other side of the screen within 2 seconds, u out a lobelia, then she drives back in you face, i definitely do not feel the matchup is 6-4 rachel favors mayb 4.5-5.5 or even because both characters have good pressure, once again u cannot jump out of a block j.c while standing on the ground you will get hit for not moving.
  19. your right it doesnt, sorry. i just thought i read it was improved upon to be greater then ct. In my honest opinion zoing meant more in ct, however now that i remember, frog takes out clouds you no longer able to summon a frog when need be and u are not able to kill set frog and make a new one at will no longer.so clouds would still be an issue would they not?
  20. bout blazblue, what fundamentals do u feel like the game stays true to( didnt want to get off rachel topic on forum), all fightings have footies, heck i use footies with rachel when make sure i dont certain summons at certain ranges from my opponent. Also timing my pumpkin and relentless rush at my opponent with my pumpkin to meet them when there forced to land.

  21. i really really disagree, with both the bang and taokaka match. both character can run away from your rush attempts,and once u start zoning they have easy ways in and out of your face past the zoning. I also noticed that while chasing both characters once i stopped and started to zoning....i was given a negative warning. and im like im not event he one running away. they run when u gonna rush, and them dash through your attmepts to start zoning and pressure u for free. edit: this is for rachel vs both said characters but whatever. i dont lose to either but i just dont feel like both characters are are at a huge disadvantage.
  22. zoning was also nerfed, with pumpkin frog and wind. pumpkin covering spaces ur lobelias didnt. frog making your opponent jump, or if the opponent got in the would have to either grab u, jump away, hit rachel, or get hit by the frog on there recovery strings.And we all know bout the wind, znoing helped restored used wind from a far, once its used it takes much to long to come back

  24. that rachel was gettin tusbaki's ass, im gonna play that kinda of rachel with zoning when need be.^.^ im so over low tier rachel, just gotta somehow make things happen even though....the low tier's on ct hakumen, tager, (not bang he cant runawau anyway), deal huge damage on hit so it might be easier to have made things happen with them. but anyway i love that rachel versus tsubaki, although i really doubt you could get away with stuff like that on most of the cast like, rachel, hazama, ragna, jin, noel can just cartwheel flip drive which is really annoying in ct glad they nerfed =), litchi, bang can drive her, tager can backdash that shit and put the hurt on rachel, hakumen can counter drive.... Nontheless, i appreciate the post it really help just get over even tougher playing rachel is gonna be. edit:omg can noel really do drives legitmately on your block now and u cant dp or chair them, her drives swallow guard libras so fast! Edit again: ragna vs rachel, they do that annoying dash forward then air dash backward shit on ct now, then they air dash forward while after running forward with j.c and if u 6a to late you will get hit, u have to rush down with rachel or lockdown, because this tactic makes u zap the rods and lose control on the field.also its hard to keep away from this tactic. Edit again 2: versus jin, 5.2k off an uppercut(25% heat) in the corner. and that rachel player was pretty good at rushing, it just sucks that after an air combo, the opponent can sometimes pressure u for free and that were i see alot of rachels take there damage from, jump ins that cam from teching air combos. everyone should j.c like i do after my air combos.
