  1. I feel the opposite. Loops are boring. And there should be conditions to doing better combos (like RC, crouch, CH, confirms, or the corner). That makes combos a lot more interesting imo. But Taokaka is always fun and interesting because of her variety of movement options, not because of combos.
  2. Things should pick up a bit in CP hopefully.
  3. Same here. Dark Souls is awesome.
  4. Yeah. If I'm going to be putting forward dashes in, it's going to be for a 5AA/5B/5C.
  5. It's actually completely predictable, it's just not very fair. Between C and S rank, only people -1 to +1 within your rank will contribute (so if you're B, B- and B+ will also count). You need a streak of 3 wins or losses that count to go up or down during that time. So if you're C and you keep beating A+ ranks, it means absolutely nothing. And of course, if you see no one near your grade online, you're not going anywhere. I'm pretty sure this is how it goes.
  6. In very specific situations. I would never recommend it as something consistent. I was just pointing out that 2B works in even less situations.
  7. Be more conscious of the meter you're using (you were doing auto-combo -> super a lot, even when they were in the corner and could've SMP'd). Use easier to time SMP variants and grind the hell out of them, this goes without saying though. I'm not one to talk, but you seem to be really nervous. I know how it can get to you, but it really helps with Naoto to be more patient and calm I think. You were rushing down certain characters where it's usually better to just stick back and let them do something wrong (you cannot afford to get into Liz' midrange game, her 2B/j.B is too good). The Kanji matchup can almost be completely zoning, always have a C trap out near you and keep in mind the lightning spots. In my experience doing a close range game against a grappler is asking for trouble. You need to bait/punish DPs more. You need more consistent confirms off traps (especially CH ones). That's about all that I can think about right now.
  8. Persona 4 Arena is so godlike it has 1 hit combos.
  9. Taokaka's mixup game is average, nothing really to write home about. But that's not why you play Taokaka. Taokaka's neutral midscreen game is among the strongest in the game. Amazing mobility into 3k-4.5k meterless on each opening all day, and of course add 2k to that with AB2 if you have meter.
  10. I just got the needed equipment for both my consoles. I might start streaming soon.
  11. It really does. So does her 2B.
  12. There's so many matchups in this game where I have no clue what to do still. Oh well, I'll learn them eventually I hope.
  13. So I'm guessing the last shot is considered a different move from the other four?
  14. That seems rather low damage for trap SMP, should be death, or almost death.
  15. I'm salty, and at the same time happy I could get some needed matchup experience. ggs.
  16. Yeah, there's definitely a very slight delay that you need to grind out. Against many characters you can do 5C -> 236A~D there to make it easier, but it's not needed. I find this SMP starter way easier than some others for 5B -> 5C -> 2C though, since it doesn't need the same kind of delays that 214D -> 2A -> 2B -> 236A~D -> 5AA does, and doesn't require an IAD either.
  17. Aha, it was you all along. How about that.
  18. Easy D trap SMP: 214D -> 5B -> 5C -> IAD -> j.B -> j.C -> 5C -> 236236D -> 6[6] -> 214C -> 2A -> 5AA -> 236BxN The 2A hits at the same time as the C trap activates.
  19. Just a bit of fooling around with OMB: (25 meter, burst required) 5B -> 2B -> 2A~B -> 236A+B -> OMB -> 66 -> 2[C] -> 5A -> 5C -> IAD -> j.B -> j.C -> 5C -> 236BxN [~7k]
  20. Speaking of trap OMB, has this been posted yet? (0 meter, burst required) (Trap hits) -> 6[6] -> 5AA -> 5B -> JC -> j.B -> j.C -> OMB -> 2[C] -> 5C -> IAD -> j.A -> j.C -> 5C -> 236BxN [~6.5k] Slightly easier: (Trap hits) -> 6[6] -> 2A -> 5AA -> SJC -> j.B -> j.C -> OMB -> 2[C] -> 5C -> j.A -> j.C -> 5C -> 236BxN [~6.1k] The universal j.C -> 5B -> 5C -> 2C -> 236236D -> 9 -> 214D -> 5AA -> 236A~D -> 44 -> 2[C] -> 66 -> 5C -> 236BxN works on him. Also, 5B -> 5C -> 2C -> 236236D -> 9 -> 214C -> 214D -> (C trap hits) -> 236A~D -> 44 -> 2[C] -> 66 -> 5AA -> 236BxN works on him too. This one isn't good on him, the C trap hitting into 236A is really specific. I guess use Kyle's suggestion, or: 5B -> 5C -> 2C -> 236236D -> 214D -> 5AA -> 236A~D -> 44 -> 2[C] -> 5C -> IAD -> j.A -> j.C -> 5C -> 236BxN is a nice fallback if you can't get anything else. Neither are Teddie specific, but work on him, so that's a plus.
  21. Half of the time when I play I haven't slept for 2-4 days. I still end up playing about the same. ggs to p4aplayer, I don't know that many people that would do a set that long.
