  2. Yeah, he hasn't played for years, neither has Taoish or omgitsaduck. Not that I know of anyways. And yeah, almost forgot about AJ Killer, haven't seen him for a long time.

  9. Matoi is actually showing off some neat stuff recently though. He's actually ending many corner combos in 236CC 5D~A. And standing 5B/5C -> j.A -> j.B -> j.C loops. And dash 5C -> j.B(2) -> j.D~A loops. And I think I saw some 5C -> JC -> j.D~B -> 5C too. I think I saw standing CH j.C confirm into 236CC directly too. It seems like we have a lot more freedom in combos in CP. That is... if we shy away from simply mashing encore everywhere.

  12. I'd be surprised if this was in for much longer. Sounds like a glitch in the momentum system. Definitely will be patched by the time we get it at the very least.

  14. I liked CT, CS1 was broke as hell, CS2 was boring, and EX was better but everyone was gone at that point. CP looks fun.
  15. Those sound effects man. When we play this we need to set the sound effect volume to like 10%.
  16. I think that is mainly because he kept dropping stuff. It doesn't look like he has figured out the right combos to use vs. Litchi's hitbox. The other thing is that midscreen damage on the ground will definitely be low, it is for most characters unless they spend meter.

  19. Couldn't have said it better myself. That's why archiving the old combo thread and having a fresh one a bit after the game comes out on console is a pretty good idea. We can take away any redundant and meaningless combos from the thread, and prevent any confusion. As NeoGio said, nobody wants to read through 20 2A combos that are almost the same thing. Somebody reading that thread wants to get to the point and practice what matters. The combo thread should also be a discussion thread (if it wasn't, it would be a locked thread). If you want to discuss combo routes, efficiency of certain combos, or if you've found a better combo for a certain situation, it's better to post it there rather than here.
  20. Yup. That's why right now I'm just basing it on any completed combos we see in videos. Then when the optimal stuff comes around we'll remove anything that doesn't make sense (or archive it and start fresh).
  21. Yeah, that's fine. You should definitely post any of these that you find in the combo thread. If you keep the format the same, that's even better. I'll put almost any combo in right now, since we don't know (and probably the Japanese players don't either) what's optimal.

  24. I'm not mad about 236C actually, I just laughed whenever anyone got hit by it. We seem to have more options on our up-close game anyways now. No need for silly things like that. It still looks like manly hit confirms are still possible from what I've seen. Colour buffs are the best buffs we could have got.
  25. He's doing that so he can combo into 236C -> Encore for a knockdown. I don't think taunt's properties changed, it's just being used at the end of the combo for that one specific reason.
