  1. post of the year contender pics plz, i want to know what gender-swapped Mike looks like ----------------- Seen on youtube: This was a challenge in January 2011, Dakou Xiaohai have accepted any challenger in NanNing (province of China). People won 15 dollars for each win. Challenge lasted about 5 hours, I uploaded some matches. Final result was: Dakou 100 matches played - 3 lost Xiaohai 50 matches played - 0 lost lol
  2. Yeah, didn't Randy Savage get blacklisted by McMahon? Oh well. The real question is what tier WARRIOR will be.
  3. Ok so let's see this ski/snowboard trip: jan 23rd EA interview: jan 24th graphics seminar presentation: jan 26th Meanwhile: http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/01/18/wwe-all-stars-the-macho-man-lives?objectid=77293 Is this game going to be Kinnikuman MGP except with WWF? It's got floaty punch juggles, so it's definitely not the usual WWE game.
  4. Next up we need Duc Do vs. "The Legend Killer" Neo
  5. He can even change the angle of it as it comes down. It's like he can make the overhead also crossup at will.
  6. Ah, I thought it was Taito X-2. Anyway, it doesn't look that different from Atomiswave, does it? Both are metal boxes and take cartridges... Atomiswave is just red instead of black? ohlordyredblacktreejokecoming
  7. A funny thing that was mentioned at the fail0verflow conference was that all vendors should put Linux support into their products, because when Linux support is removed, hackers will hack it back in. If you'd ask me, that sounds like an argument to NOT put Linux support into anything, because the hackers will do that work for you.
  8. So AH3 has been made usable through unscrupulous channels. I have to wonder about these PC-based arcade platforms. Sure they are dirt cheap and easy to develop for, but without customized hardware/input device gimmickery, it's easier than ever to crack and pirate. Of course, who knows how long it would take today for people to dump and crack something with a copy protection scheme as involved as, say, CPS3. That said, Ringwide (which AH3 is not on) is like the most ghetto arcade platform ever made, and maybe the sheer ghettoness of it will discourage piracy. Survival of the ghetto-est? Who knows.
  9. Brief note on stats: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/hockey/nhl/stats/ If you check there like RIGHT NOW, you will notice that the NHL leader in shot percentage is a certain Mario Bliznak of the Canucks. Ahead of such giants as Grant Clitsome and Jeremy Colliton who each have 66.7%, stands Bliznak with a whopping 100%. That's right, those other guys who net 2/3s of the shots they make can't hold a candle to this elite sniper who has never failed to hit the back of the net. Now, you're probably also thinking, "who the hell are these guys". Well, they are players who have between 1 and 3 points TOTAL. That's right, they've got shooting percentages that make Ovechkin look pee-wee league because they've only taken 1, 2 or 3 shots. Expect this to be the most hotly contested stat as the season goes on! Hopefully someday they'll restrict this category to those who have attempted more than X shots or have scored more than Y goals so that it isn't just the playground of minuscule sample sizes.
  10. From EDF, I used to think about two metrics: one is damage, and one is lethality. The two aren't the same! At lower difficulties, there is an extremely strong correlation between AOE and lethality; since the enemies in general have few HP, frequent AOE brings the highest rate of lethality. Exceptionally high DPS to any particular target really isn't that important. ZZ had the combination of large AOE and frequent AOE, which made things easy for him at Normal difficulties. I remember not playing at the much higher difficulties because things just took too long to kill lol
  11. Of course, when I think about how Genki normally makes Wangan Midnight games, and that a part of the game is racing through large amounts of incoming traffic, maybe Ikusagami isn't such a stretch. I hope one day to play the EU release of Ikusagami!
  12. I didn't use Wing Zero much, but that really just has to do with me not liking Gundam Wing that much in the first place. I can say that Char's Red Zaku sucks... which means that it was actually top tier and I just didn't know. I still wish that they made a new Ikusagami game. I like Gundam Musou simply because I am genetically pre-disposed to liking Gundam, but Ikusagami is the musou-style game that actually impresses me.
  13. I just didn't bother to mention Adon and Sagat lol Seth does have some of them, except in some cases they are phenomenally crappified. His st.RH kinda sorta looks like Adon's, but doesn't do 2-hits lol... and at that point, is it even the same move? There are some moves that are just plain good without need for any context, like Rog jab. Yeah, some moves that have particular purposes (like AA cr.strongs) can't really be evaluated well without some context (who needs an AA cr.strong when you have DP?). ZZ Gundam was stupid good in the first Gundam Musou b/c he was all AOE, and if Musou games are about anything, it's about who is the best combine harvester.
  14. Will Taskmaster have move stealing like Rogue did in addition to having special moves that are already like other characters? I wonder if the hitboxes/frames/etc. of moves like spidey swing are the same as for the original character Taskmaster vs. Thor should have somebody summon the power of Greyskull I wonder if the final playable character reveal will be mango sentinel On a side note, if you could make an SF4 character taking only normals from existing characters, which normals would you pick? Would you want Bison's s.RH, Akuma's, Chun's.... I don't know if there is a low strong in the game better than Ryu's. The best cr.jab in the game is probably Rog's. The best standing jab in the game... is also probably Rog's. Gief's far standing strong is pretty good. etc.
  15. Also, Ghost Trick is probably the best game of the year.
  16. So Akuma in MvC3 has been RADICALLY CHANGED from his previous vs. incarnations! Now when he is on the ground and does super fireball, he shoots a ton of regular hadokens! When he is in the air, he shoots a beam downwards for super fireball! This is the exact opposite of how he used to be! A revolution! Taskmaster's voice is kind of wtf. It sounds really nasal and young. Is he supposed to be like a slightly less jolly Deadpool?
  17. damn clock lost storm vs. strider is just too much in storm's favour
  18. As long as they don't pass Boy George on the scale of 0 to Boy George, it's ok.
  19. How come JS Master gets beaten by Americans so handily The match I saw of him vs. Tatsu wasn't a blowout, but it wasn't close. And yet he beat the JP team at the Canadian tournament We need Jay back from St. Louis. Trust him, he's a doctor.
  20. Weren't you the one that told me that people in PR spend all their money on stupid crap like highly overpriced somewhat fixed old trucks?
  21. Forget Neptune since you already have it. Catherine looked way more interesting before they showed gameplay of it. But nevertheless, how can anybody resist LOVE IS OVER? MvC3 is MvC3.
