Here's a money-related story that just happened to me: I go to the mobile phone shop to add money to my phone. I add $100 so that I don't have to add any more for like months. Trouble is, it's gets put in as "pay by cash" when I was going to pay by debit, and I don't have $100 on me. The transaction has already gone through in the system, as my phone received a msg about "thanks for refilling! $100" So the guys in the shop are not freaking out, but are definitely in a ohnoohnoohno state, and eventually they tell me "well, I guess you get $100 free". This doesn't sit well with me because while the megacorp could care less about $100, it's a mistake that could dearly cost these grunts, who seem like decent enough people. So I go to an ATM, get the cash I need, walk back to the shop, and ask if they could print a receipt of the transaction. They're like "OMG" upon seeing me back with the money. One of them afterwards hands me a $100 prepaid card. So while I didn't save myself the expense of $100, with $100 I managed to buy some dudes peace of mind, and I didn't get nothing for my troubles. ---------------------------------- I would like to have enough money to make ventures without their failure ruining me. While this amount of buffering might make my decision-making and thinking soft, having so much money that it affords freedom for arbitrary and unlimited failure must be the ultimate freedom. The next logical challenge, given that money is available in such a surplus that it no longer needs to be counted as a significant limited resource, is to acquire the same with time.

"This project was inspired by my desire to bring my Art of War, Murder at 1600 and Passenger 57 characters into the game world." Quote of the year 2011 contender So much of the staff of the fighting game Phantom Breaker are former staffs of Asuka 120%. This brings to mind two questions: - will Phantom Breaker also be a furious mash/clash fest - wth were they (the Asuka 120% guys) doing between Asuka 120% and Phantom Breaker? It's been literally more than 10 years.

So the arcade near UPenn, University Pinball, got SF4AE. The cost is $1 per game. Evidently, Philly is so ghetto that an arcade game costing $1 a game raised a big stink, with some people saying that they would rather take a trip to NYC to play instead of paying $1. I tried playing it and got my ass kicked by some guy who had an interesting bag of T.Hawk tricks and a decent enough Sagat. Playing stuff like League of Legends kills your reaction time, where you get used to having half a second or more to react to things. But since when are overheads 30F+ startup in fighting games lol focus BD with Yang is kind of comical because of how long their backdash anim is (much like in 3S, the big cartwheel)

Seeing as how the heart of the visual novel is tree traversal, they should one day try to model a narrative structure based on the dynamic behaviour of trees/lists. Just imagine what an incredible metaphor the heap is! Once you pop the root node, the entire thing has to be reassembled! The skip list would probably be Slaughterhouse-Five.

Hard mode in this KH PSP game is basically about this: most enemies you pound the X button or the triangle button and they die. From time to time, there are enemies like the fat dudes before you hit level 8 or so, and most bosses, which have some attack that can kill you nigh-instantly. The attack probably won't kill you in a single hit, but you'll be locked in hitstun and eat some more hits that will kill you. If you're lucky and they are just far away enough, the hitstun might decay and you can mash dash out of it. If you aren't lucky, you just die. But besides those attacks, most enemies cannot actually kill you if you have any kind of healing, because you heal so darned much with each heal. So I guess what I'm really saying is that it's just like Vampire Rain.

http://p.twipple.jp/data/G/f/e/J/p.jpg So the gundam seed destiny game, in spite of the presence of GvG and subsequently GvG Next, continues to draw top 7 in arcade income. That's pretty incredible. Nobody loves AH3, with its peak earnings coming nowhere near what MBAA pulls, and a sharp decline following just 2 months after AH3's release. wtf is HSF2 doing there too many entertaining things to observe in that list, really

Regarding the KOF13 switch: It should have read GCCD drop kick, not, CD drop kick "There's a combo where you can pull out Raiden's drop kicks right out of his guard cancel CD attack. It basically lets Raiden turtle until he's charged up for an instant kill. With the additional input frames turned off, it can't be done." That is actually even funnier than I imagined.
