I still don't "get" the trick to Air Bandit Revolver after Dust (non-Jump Install) related combos. In a lot of ways I find it character-specific but... Like: Lv2 RI > c5S > jS > jD > jc. > jD > BR (for lightweights) (S,D, jc, D) Lv2 RI > c5S > jH > jD > jc. > jH > jD > BR (for middle/heavy) (H, D, jc, H, D) Lv2 RI > c5S > jS > jD > jc. > jH > jD > BR (for weird fall hitboxes) (S, D, jc, H, D) Lv2 RI > c5S > jS > jD > jc. > jS > jD > BR (for others) (S, D, jc, S, D) That's all I've managed to learn so far. I have a hard time with mid-screen stuff especially. Do most people only jump once for mid screen or can you really do a jump cancel, like for lighter characters? If someone could spell out the air gatling aspect of it to me or at least mention anything regarding timing or what the key thing to look for is, I'd appreciate it. What's more, I still don't get the trick behind getting the second rep of a Dustloop. (H, D, jc, H, D, land/jump, H, D, jc, H, D)

Guilty Gear FAQ Thread - Ask your questions here!
Blade replied to Kairi's topic in Guilty Gear General
Getting an all new story mode doesn't completely overwrite the previous story. A lot of what happened in GGXX references stuff that occurred in GGX+. What's more, the whole GGX-GGXX saga takes place over the span of three weeks, to put things in perspective here. -
You would.

Context nothing...keep it clean, Zazz.... And since the topic is brought up, this is a spoilerific thread, therefore it should be marked as such.

As one of those who support "canonical" pairings, I don't mind this either, but do label things as "worksafe" or not. If anyone has questions regarding AC+ Jap and English differences regarding what is said, I can try and oblige since I have a copy of the Jap PSP version.

So what can I do when a Level 1 Rock-It hits (non CH), not much? Also, I've seen a few interesting combos when Level 2 Rock-It lands: something than ends in Dust>Bandit Revolver, but I don't know my air combos so well with him. I suck at Jump Install, yet...
-
Can someone explain to me more about how Rock-It works for Pressure strings on block? I suck at following up on anything after Level 2. Also, if Rock It level 1 hits (not counterhit) what to do after that.

Yeah I know that part is confusing but...understand that That Man likes to speak in riddles, and as Sol pointed out later, what he said was a joke, not to be taken seriously. What the joke is exactly, and what the punchline means, could be many things, or nothing that has to do with anything at this point. He could either be joking about having killed Aria (see my Chaos Legion Ending theory), or joking about Valentine being an "illegitimate offspring of a heartless apocalypse". Whatever the case, we won't know till the next installment or at the very least info from the new book...or maybe a Drama CD.

The idea of whether or not Aria is dead or human or something else is definitely puzzling...but, I suspect something happened to Aria that's not unlike the ending to Chaos Legion. *wink*

This should help you a bit as far as move names goes: http://mimeblade.oddigytitanium.com/Guilty_Gear/Guilty_Gear_Quote_Project/Move_List.txt And hey, while I'm at it, move quotes too: http://mimeblade.oddigytitanium.com/Guilty_Gear/Guilty_Gear_Quote_Project/Guilty_Gear_Quote_Project.txt But yeah, when you get the chance, get Accent Core Plus (PS2/PSP/Wii), you will be happy with the end results.

For reference here...what the hell is a Baseball Truck??? Also, I highly recommend watching match and combo videos, since simply "reading" tutorials o[finput][/finput]bout combos doesn't seem to help you.

I hate to tell you this, but the reason we use lingo is because it's the fastest way to learn a combo and understand a tactic. Beyond that, there's no shortcut beyond it because it's already enough of a shortcut as is. 6P is +, that simple. The best I can tell you is to read the guides. If there's terms you don't get, you can ask in the general questions section. If you still don't get something, be it Ky-specific, you can ask, but more than likely most of the questions can be answered by reading the threads already available. Trust me on this, even I get lost sometimes, but you will learn a lot.

I had to do this, because crashing the game is fun...and I can do screenshots on my PSP now! :3

Tiger-knee CSE (2369+D) for instant Pressure. Also j.D into Air CSE or Stun Raise Forcebreak. Stun Raise increases not only your protection, but also decreases the range of an opponent's attack. Also, 6H can cancel into itself, 5H, 6K, and other things for nice little guardstrings to crank the guardbar. Also don't forget that Air Stun Edge FRC resets your jump, so you can jump and do another Stun Edge or Air CSE or Stun Raise or j.D or whatever. Sometimes, I never hit the ground...just watch out for Volcanic Viper and other anti-airs. When working with pressure, if you do 6H further away, it'll still hit, so don't worry about getting up close so much. 6H staggers and gives you plenty of options like 5D dust combos, impossible dust, Greed Sever 5S 2H Vapor Thrust Javelin loops (get used to doing 2P, 5Sclose, 2H VT for that). j.S is great for crossups, j.K is good for air-to-air, and if j.H or j.D are blocked, you can either jump again, or cancel into air stun edge games/Stun Raise up close. Also don't forget about Tiger Knee Stun Raise (2147+D), it's extremely useful as an overhead.

Where'd they gooooo.... Any video tutorials like Order-Sol has?
-
Anyone know how to record videos from the PSP for combo/matches etc? I have no luck doing it with my PS2 so I thought I'd try that.
-
Does anyone remember what link Wind Owl kept the voice rips for GG characters at? Or if someone else has them? If not, I'll just remind people they can rip the stuff from ACData.bin via PSound (check my sig).

Perhaps, but then perhaps not, this conversation is kinda questionable... I'm not sure if she's talking large sums or if she means she intends to wipe out a million gears OR civilians...in any case, things don't seem to proceed according to the agreement.

I'd have to check Kliff's story mode to be sure.

The best response I can give you is that Ky was attending to Kliff (who was dying), and probably fought and lost to Justice. The recollection from LtA novel is that he recalls Justice holding Sol's crushed Limiter. In the GGX Drama CD, he teams up with Sol against his own subordinates who betrayed him and ended up shooting Sol with blacktech guns (Sol managed to survive by using Dragon Install). As a result, Ky lets Sol go without arresting him and destroys the Data Fragment that May and Johnny originally found, circumventing the blacktech conspiracy at the IPF. The closest hint we have is what Ky says in GGXX that he knows Sol is chasing That Man regarding the Gears. He offers to help but Sol says to keep out of it. In the manga, Ky catches a glipse of Sol putting back on his Limiter, after having destroyed a huge chunk of Gear body parts falling from the atmosphere. He says nothing regarding it, though it's probable he's suspicious. I'm guessing what Ky is aware of isn't the whole truth, but enough that he trusted Sol with Sin for that reason.

Actually, my memory is that Testament was never officially inducted into the Order, Kliff said Testament was "gentle in nature" and didn't agree with conflict, and that war drove him mad. Ky's dealings with I-no are somewhat cautious based on the drama CD even though she flirts with him, it seems he offered her money compensation as means of assisting in the battle, though she ended up abandoning him to his "death". It hasn't been officially stated whether or not Ky knows if Sol is a gear or not, though I believe according to Lightning the Argent, he did witness part of the fighting between Sol and Justice at the recruitment tournament (2180). While that makes sense, I guess if I were to create a chart, it would be character specific, that is to say, you make one character central, and create a network of allies and enemies around that character, so that people get a sense of how things really are. About all I know is that That Man seems to have his hand in a lot of Government bodies and businesses globally. It's because of this he was able to destribute the method of Gear manufacturing to governments throughout the world (prior to the Crusades), he standardized the method to be sure, and places like Blackard Company have been copying him ever since. It's also the reason Frederick created the OutRage as a backlash towards mass Gear distribution, so then OutRage was broken up into the Sacred Treasures and distributed via the United Nations (possibly PWAB knows the whereabouts of each Jinki?). Potemkin called Testament the "Distortion" Gear, so we don't know the exact details but Testament was able to retain his sense of self even after his conversion and also mental stability under Justice's influence, unlike other Gears (except Sol), so Testament is unique compared to other Gears. It might very well be that he "died again" after the first recruitment tournament when Justice awoke from his blood pact sacrifice, and That Man brought him back, though we can't know for sure. It's also possible he owes his continuing existence to Dizzy, who is capable of resurrecting downed Gears, though only PWAB claims to know about this, and more than likely Testament hadn't met Dizzy before being brought back from the brink. Regarding Dizzy too...she claims to have "old memories of hatred" shared between her and Eddie, specifically the referring to the idea that Forbidden Beasts are designed to be the natural enemy of Gears, though that's somewhat implied rather than said directly.
