  1. I'm giving the chosen cast the benefit of the doubt. This is their first time voicing such weird characters with unique nuances... Give em time to grow in to their roles and they'll do better in the next installment.
  2. In the end, keep it to yourself unless someone doesn't have GGXrd and is begging/pleading for a translation and have THEM keep it to themselves. I know a lot but I'm keeping mum for various reasons.
  3. These are not the droids you're looking for.
  4. If you're looking for a zoner, you're better off using Axl Low in GGXrd. Also there really isn't anyone like Amane in GG that I know of (i.e. someone who does more damage against blockers). @Spoonman: Tutorials are easy to read and play through, just take your time. Mission Mode will also help you learn how to block stuff.
  5. Yeah, pretty sure (as I predicted) there would be at least 4 new characters (Bedman, Sin, Elphelt, and Leo) besides the boss (Ramlethal). I'm not sure they'll do any more until the next game after GGXrd. (Dizzy and Jam are high possibilities due to popularity) Most GG rosters are lopsided anyway. I miscounted, shutup.
  6. Yeah, that pic of Chipp's Presidential Secretary with the 3rd Eyeglass... that guy's name is "Answer" (as in Question and Answer heheh). Also, friendly reminder that you CANNOT Blitz Shield Overdrives! :D
  7. Just thought I'd clarify this tidbit... the notes on that image of Senga call it a "Shinki"... but Ky Kiske pronounces it as "Jinki" in GGXX Accent Core Plus R (when Sol steals the Fireseal).
  8. Why is that even important, unless you're adding meta data in iTunes?
  9. Still, about those classic tracks... I'm holding out for these: "Conclusion" "Diva" "No Mercy" "Black Soul" ...and whatever they plan to add for Potemkin (maybe the GGX version of Burly Heart).
  10. How classic are we talking? Is it just a light selection or are we talking the best of the best? Oh yeah, and those of use who are getting the Limited Edition will automatically get the Vocal Edition stuff from what I heard.
  11. I'm just gonna link this here because it's relevant to this topic! Database Mode will be coming to GGXrd soon, guys! If you had any questions that I or anyone else couldn't answer, they'll probably be covered eventually (though I doubt any of MY questions will be answered until much later!)
  12. If memory serves me right, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger didn't announce it's English Voice cast until the game was released... I do believe we're in for some surprises if there is an English dub for GGXrd.
  13. Okay since nobody wants to read the link I posted and be educated, I'll just simplify. GG [Canon] GGX > GGXX > GGXXACPlusR [Gaiden-Canon] (Collectively referred to as the "GGX Series", the X meaning "Extra") GG2 [Canon] GGXrd [Probably Canon since it's Linear]
  14. No, actually Raven predates him. Only Raven was just DLC in GG2. ...I hate being Ninja'd...
  15. Ground Viper / Grand Viper...... I don't even care anymore... call it whatever sounds cooler to YOU. So long as people know what you're talking about. Senato sounds LATIN so I'll stick with it (along with cool words like "Sanctus Populi"). @Guilty Valentine: Read this article I wrote on GG's Gaiden.
  16. A clock that determines how many hours in Training and Challenge Mode you clocked? Oh dear. I'm going to feel naked.
  17. THINK. FOCUS. Read my post very carefully. Work those brain cells. If you don't know who Bedman's true client is by now after all those hints... I'm going to be sad.
  18. 1. Bedman knows who the Valentines are and probably works for "Mother". 2. "Mother" is connected to the Cradle and to the Senato members who are controlling it (and Valentines indirectly). 3. If what Bedman says is true, his client is "human", ergo "Mother" may be a human who is manipulating the Valentines somehow. 4. Guess who is the boss of the Senato? The Holy Pope at Rome (who was mentioned in VastEdge info). I'll let you do the rest of the math.
  19. Just thought I'd mention regarding GGXrd DLC: System Voice Announcer voice sets for everybody in the roster (including Slayer's VA, Kayumi Iemasa who passed away) will be available once GGXrd is out on the 4th in Japan / 16th in U.S. respectively.
  20. If this is story discussion, it might be better to move it to Zepp Museum/merge with existing story thread, just my two cents.
  21. Except for the fact that Potemkin isn't exactly built for air combos. I'm pretty sure ICPM is Potemkin's 'meterless' go-to tool for that now (ICPM is built to send them in to the corner, besides, input-wise I think air pot buster either pulled you towards or away from the corner depending on how it was input). For Ky, j.D Grinder seals are now a mixup option more than just 'temporary space control'. Maybe they don't last as long as Stun Raise for an actual hitbox, but the seals themselves stay out long enough to serve as a 'mental threat' that Ky could throw a Stun Edge in them later at any time the seals are out and he's near them. For Ky players, just being able to threaten with an enhanced Stun Edge can be enough to get them in for a mixup, I'd think... and if it isn't, players can just throw Stun Edge through the seal, get a mini-Durandal until players respect it, until they decide to throw people off their game and do something else... all without spending meter.
  22. As far as Forcebreaks go... there's a lot of things I'd argue are redundant in function. Why would Potemkin need an Air Pot Buster if he's got Heat Knuckle as an anti-air grab? Maybe it does more damage at the cost of meter, but Heat Knuckle was built to GIVE him meter last I checked. Ky had Stun Raise, which basically was an enhanced version of his jumping Dust at the cost of Tension. Now instead he can place grinders from j.D and enhance his Stun Edge shots for even more range and damage... at NO TENSION COST. Think about it! Which is better? Powerful moves that don't cost Tension or gain Tension? Or enhanced moves that cost tension for damage. I mean yeah, I'm not saying there's no room for both... and having one over the other could save you in a pinch... but in my experience having Tension meter is safer in most situations than NOT having it. Survival Mode taught me this fact all too well. Blowing tension on forcebreaks might be nice for a quick burst of damage, but if you make a mistake and don't have the meter you were eager to spend to save yourself with a YRC or Faultless Defense... (when you could've used a similar move to GAIN tension instead), you're not exactly in a good situation. That's my argument on why Forcebreaks shouldn't be redundant and be WORTH the cost (i.e. efficient).
  23. Mike Z is gone for good, methinks. GG's movelist history really tells you Forcebreaks were just a pie in the sky idea to get older moves back in the list (I'd say EX mode is better suited to that role). In reality, every move should be useful and not be meter reliant (efficient, not redundant). RCs and Dead Angles should be the only thing you use meter for in most situations. Ky has better tools now without Forcebreaks, Sol too. I'd say Potemkin's more of a beast now too since he can Hammerfall YRC and get in close (which is tons better than Judge Gauntlet).
  24. BlazBlue's System Voices were pretty much in two forms: ---Engrish (attempting to say things in English) ---Japangrish (which actually sounds normal because they're pronouncing names using Japanese Katakana) The "Engrish" versions were typically out-of-character, whereas the latter were based on their in-game voices. I don't think they'd freestyle it with anything like nicknames for everyone.
  25. http://www.hardcoregamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/1412657425-gg-xrd-jp-box-art-ps3.jpg He's at the top.
