Leo Whitefang seems to be the new kid on the block (DLC)! What I've learned so far is that he seems to have a connection to Illyria (probably one of the Kings) and more specifically to Ky (maybe even Ky's past with the Sacred Order)... I've seen the new boxart which depicts him as walking around reading a book or journal of some kind... so he may be "looking" for something.

Scenes? Events? What are those? They don't exist in Milwaukee, to my knowledge... if they do, people have kept me in the dark about them. Still, if you want to play me some time, feel free to add my PSN.

Look at all the voices Iemasa has done over the years that had an English counterpart, and decide from that?
-
Playstation Network Avatars, you buy them for like a buck each on Playstation Store.

Bedman's "Client" most likely, or someone important to him (though that's hard to imagine since he seems to not care about anyone very much). As far as the whole link between Axl and Raven goes... I'd just wait for now. "Identical Existence" =/= (does not equal) "Same Person"... it could be some dimensional jargon or something for all we know. Raven seems to be a former Knight of the original Crusades and a former lab experiment later on.... but that doesn't mean he's no longer connected to something "Axl Low will do" in the future.

Forget XBlaze... give me Guilty Gear AND BlazBlue Avatars!!!

Well, it's my experience that a lot of mistakes have been put on Guilty Gear's "official websites" over the years, so I tend to balk at info when it's misrepresented online. Seriously, I'd sooner stick with the Character Book they're going to be releasing with GGXrd this December.
-
I think people are jumping the gun here... GGX and XX and ACPlus, etc are all "Gaiden" thus they are pretty much tied closely together as "The events of GGX". There should be a warning label "DON'T PANIC IT'S JUST A WEBPAGE."
-
The Story Dub, perhaps, but in-battle English Dub was non-existent from what I heard from others. Also apparently a lack of Japanese audio for Story Mode as well. Compare that with BlazBlue: Story Mode: English/Japanese Dual Audio (English/Japanese Subtitles) In-battle: English/Japanese Dual Audio (including post-battle win quotes) And you see something was missing.

For people who are complaining about Persona 4 Arena Ultimax's "half-hearted dub"... this should explain things. Atlus USA are the ones behind the localization for P4AU, not Aksys Games or ARC System Works. Fortunately GGXrd is getting better treatment.

Whoever assumes these things really needs to stop making stuff up. 1. If it's in the game they'd have to give it a name for the file system. 2. Why would they tribute a song for BlazBlue to a voice actor in Guilty Gear???? 3. If it was a tribute they'd probably say so in an album comment or something.

Based on what is said, I can assess that this "thing" is the Cradle: And that the Senato (Senate) are the ones controlling it and Ramlethal behind the scenes. Bedman seems to know Ramlethal's role in all this too (based on a story clip), so he's connected to all this somehow as well. Ky seems to know more about what is going on with Elphelt than anyone else, so we'll see what happens...

I'll just post this here for now, since people will ask.

People keep saying that, but Zato's original VA Kaneto Shiozawa's death was just a coincidence. In GGX it was already planned for Zato to die. His voice quotes and story indicated it. "Hope died" when Ky Kiske died in the alternate timeline. The Gearmaker just wanted Gears and Humanity to work together to deal with whatever was controlling the Valentines as a threat.

This is Dustloop in general if you ask me.

Somehow I don't think ARCSys would kill off a character unless there was a good reason. Killing off Kliff is mostly due to 1. Being an old man. 2. Knowing a lot of stuff on the Crusades that could probably give away the plot. 3. He had semi-broken gimmicks. Killing off Zato is mostly due to 1. Being a partial metal reference. 2. Drama / Character development for Eddie (interacting with other non-human characters). 3. Plot development for keeping Zato in the roster. 4. Plot twist irony for Faust. Killing off Justice is mostly due to 1. The plot 2. Justice being a boss / broken character. 3. Implementing story gimmicks to keep her in the roster.

Okay, since I've been gone for a page or so, let's discuss this... before people hijack this thread with nonsense... Either read the story or don't post, this thread is ABOUT the story. So yeah. The "silhouette" of Justice could be many things... It could be that the Justice Copy is making a comeback in which case Crow could return. It could be that this Justice isn't the same Justice or could be the "mother" of the Valentines (hey it's worth a guess). It could be that this Justice is just a shell or what remains of her body after Sol killed her (we never did find out what happened to Justice after she died after all). Heck, it could be a powered-up Dizzy for all we know... Oh yeah, and based on May's facial expressions of late, I think Johnny isn't the issue... it's her past with Japan. Japan was destroyed by Justice, so obviously there was something going on back then. What that something is and why Justice was so determined to exterminate the Japanese will probably come in to play soon... with May involved.

Something tells me, based on how things are being discussed in the recent GGXrd Trailer, that Ky's decisions will be called in to question, and I don't mean just political decisions. I can't say for sure, but I think something's going down concerning Ky that even Sol doesn't know about. Ky seems to know quite a lot about these Valentines, he might even know about the Gear Project already...

You know what I hate the most about some online games? They favor dropping rare items only when you're playing full-room online sessions when everyone's equipped with the best "generic/boring" treasure farming gear and it takes TWICE as long offline. Take Gundam Breaker: ---1 rare part per hour (almost never high quality) ---1 high quality part per hour (8-10 stars) ---Takes 2 hours to gain these offline (otherwise completely random garbage that you're better off selling, but wait the shop only sells weak parts which is crap! So why bother?). But EVEN THEN... I'm playing an all-day online session, nothing good drops nothing good drops NOTHING good drops... like ever. I'm plugging away, my eyes are watering, my stomach is growling from not having eaten, and I'm getting tired of these Time Release based drops... ....and I just ugh... I hope they fix this lousy system in Gundam Breaker 2 because really now... how many flaming hoops have I gone through. (Yes I know this isn't FG talk but seriously I had to vent...) In fact, I still hate the way they make you face a gauntlet just to unlock Unlimited Characters in BBCP.... that's just wrong.

Or it could be they have a text limit. Regarding Sol... I think a lot is going over his head lately, so he's finally starting to crack/lose his composure and bravado that he normally would have. And given how the Valentines have been messing with his head given they look like Aria, I'm not surprised. Ky's just stonewalling like usual because it's Sol and Sol is a loose cannon anyway (heck, he picked fights with I-No back in the Sacred Order against Ky's orders). I'm sure Ky never approved of Sol's behavior, but now he's trying to be mature about handling it more, since he's grateful to Sol for taking care of Sin (and if you look at Sin's reaction he practically agrees with Ky so I don't think there's much of a problem in that relationship anymore).

The original Valentine had a blood type just like a human so... it's hard to say what Valentines are, really... but they aren't Gears in any real sense, but perhaps superior to a Gear? -
Based on Elphelt's new intro where the restraining harnesses fall off her body, it seems she is restrained as a living weapon... so it's clear the two of them are being deployed AS weapons, though they may be related like siblings. If their "Mother" is treating her "children" like this, it must mean this "Mother" thinks of them as weapons or copies/clones of a sort that she can take advantage of. Based on Elphelt's bio, I can only assume Elphelt is a pacifist in nature and does not like to be alone or fight, unlike her "sister" Ramlethal. Of course, it also appears that Elphelt has a more developed personality with emotions compared to Ramlethal as well, so there's that too. Bedman seems to have a connection to Ramlethal and says at one point that "the time will come when you no longer serve a purpose and you can do whatever you like after that"... This says to me the two of them are being treated as disposable weapons, and by the looks of things Ky Kiske knows about them, and is trying to help Elphelt out of this situation.

To be honest I'd rather know than NOT know though. I mean yeah, it's fine when talking about top players to know who the top picks and best and worst matchups are... but if you aren't the top player or even not hanging around top players, does that make looking in to such information about what's going on around you irrelevant and pointless? Like I said, this isn't really about the players, it's about the matchup odds and how often characters get picked in the local scene. If I were to look up an interactive chart that said (without naming names or giving top players' names) that my local scene picked Sol a lot, maybe that would motivate me to pick Ky more? Maybe if I knew Axl was going to have an easy or hard time in my local scene, that could help me decide how often to pick him? I just think it would be a useful tool to have. -
No, someone NAMED Daisuke worked on them. There is no confirmation on his last name. Also, in the first Guilty Gear (back in 1998, LB2 came out 7 months later), Daisuke Ishiwatari lists his FULL name if that tells you the difference in production work values between SNK and ARC System Works. Also there was an old interview (I'd have to dig it out somewhere) with Daisuke that at one point outright denied he had any connection to Shin Nihon Kikaku (New Japan Project). On top of that, like I said, Daisuke Ishiwatari (his FULL NAME) was credited for working on Exector, an ARC System Works game way back in 1995, so again it's a MYTH. Edit: And in case you're STILL not convinced. Daisuke's mostly a concept design artist and illustrator (not to mention music composer/writer), he NEVER gets credited for sprites and background sprite work (that's someone else's job at ARCSys).... in fact I have yet to see him get credited for the same things this "Daisuke" was credited for in his own games. Also Daisuke had little to do with most of the Guilty Gear games at large after #Reload up until GG2 Overture. He had absolutely nothing to do with Sengoku x Basara, Hokuto no Ken, Persona 4 Arena Series and I think only lent out his voice as Freed in Battle Fantasia. Also the only reason Axl Low references Billy Kane and King of Fighters is because of Keiichi Nanba who voiced Billy Kane. It was a nod to him.

If you ask me what we need... instead of a Tier List from someone across the ocean in Japanland... We need a status screen of some kind that updates itself online and tells us what our local scene is like based on win records and junk. I don't mean like Scoreboards or Ranking per se, because we already know people abuse Online Ranking mode to save their precious numbers by rage quitting if they don't win. I mean something that's based on character-specific win rates/use for any mode in the game that can calculate the difference for us in case we want to know who gets picked the most in our areas or regions or who has the highest win % (leaving out mentioning top players because really tier list isn't about that it's about the characters).
