While that's true, Guilty Gear has had an even worse history of not sending us any content at all (even back when it was owned by Sammy-Sega). I mean, they didn't even bother translating the in-game movelists until Accent Core Plus R if that tells you anything. We've had to rely on English Webpages for most info, which is sad. I'll be glad if they just translate a passage or two of the GG Bible or 10th Memorial / GG2 Material Guides (so I don't have to do everything). Besides, there's other ways of getting the OST, even the stuff that's never officially released (you'd be surprised what stuff doesn't get released that I happen to have).

You know who's missing from this roster? Simon Belmont and Captain N. The Gamemaster.

I'd sooner get the GGXrd Fightpad, myself. Though even that's iffy because I'm picky about what sort of pad I use (broken plus like Dual Shocks in case you're wondering).

Elphelt has two weapons named Miss Confire (Jelly) and Miss Travailler (Labor), though they are weapons I assume they are Servants much like the original Valentine's "sweet-based" Servants. She also has a bazooka named Genoise (Sponge Cake).

Regardless if it's not a "complete" OST (Accent Core's box on the PS2 wasn't either), I am getting this, if only for the character book. It's about time they gave us some "GG Bible" story content to nibble on in the Western Hemisphere.

Elphelt as we've seen so far appears to wear a hat similar to Ramlethal's and she has an appearance similar to Aria like the original Valentine of GG2 Overture did. I don't think that's a coincidence. I can't determine what exactly the Valentines really are... but they have something to do with something known as "Mother"... who Mother is and what she has to do with the Backyard is unknown. The servants that serve under the Valentines are known as the Vizuel. Also, judging from what the original Valentine was, comparing her to both what we know of Elphelt and Ramlethal... they could all be copies or "aspects" of Aria's personality. If this "Mother" was a Merciless Apocalypse according to "That Man", and these are her 'children' or rather 'illegitimate children'... it's hard to say who the 'true heir' of this Mother is. Is this Mother Aria? Or is she Justice? Or is she someone else? How do Dizzy, Sol, and Sin all tie in to this? Too many questions, not enough answers.

Just posting this here before I forget since Lux (Sin Kiske) was talking about it: Illyria is a really big piece of land ownership, broken up into three Regions. According to a GG2 Interview, they said that while Ky is the King of all three regions, they each have their own "district ruler" under him.

You'd be surprised what people assume is truth from other people's gripes and whining versus what's actually in the game. People can be gullible you know, I've had plenty of people message me on my blog based on worried assumptions they made from people's comments on THIS forum. Also DLC is DLC, if you want it, get it, if you don't don't... it's your wallet, no one's twisting your arm. If you don't want to pre-order the game that's up to you too. I for one am totally on board, and will probably get the PS3 LE if it exists... Also I'm not trying to rose-color the news, I just want people to appreciate the fact we're even GETTING a Guilty Gear after all these years, favorite characters confirmed or not.

lol, fat hitboxes have nothing to do with character's visual appearance or gender. Elk, I'm not policing, you just complain. A lot. And not just this thread either. And if you're not being serious then you're just flame bait. Talking about news in terms of what's good and what you expect is fine, but talking about it in terms of what you hate all the time is bad press, man. That makes people get the wrong impression about the game, or at least that's what I think.

Ignoring Jakestation's sexist comment, I believe Sin in GG2 Overture had an omni-directional Ride the Lightning. 3 rushes, any direction. Guys, character design isn't your department, and you aren't working on this game, Team Red is. Just appreciate what you get (i.e. focus on the characters you DO like, not the ones you don't). And seriously, Elk, if you hate GG's story and characters that much, go post about it somewhere else, this isn't the thread for it. Rifle stances (for Elphelt) seem to be based on how long you're in the stance. It's weaker if you do it right away, but stronger if you time it, so it's kinda like Hazama's one Serpent's Benediction stance.

If I had any sort of 'complaining' to do it would be that they haven't found an excuse to put Testament, Raven, and Justice in the game yet. Other than that I'm just peachy. Does anyone know if someone already translated the Famitsu scan on Elphelt info yet? If not, I'll give it a look-see perhaps.

Yes it does. He's the first. He 'transforms' when he uses his powers, so he has to use his headguard limiter to maintain human form when using his flames. Sol is unique in that he has a "Gear Body". (Meaning that his human mind is somehow partially intact and not completely converted, hence why he can resist Justice' influence, the same also partially applies to Testament though not as much). So far only Sol and Testament are the only well-known "humans converted in to Gears". The only other exception is Sheevus who drank Vitae and became a Gear of his own will but it eventually killed his consciousness. Gig sorta counts, but we don't know her full origins, and since she lost her mind during the conversion, it was a failure. I should add Solaria was a conversion, but there isn't much about her or how she developed since she was put in the International Police Force's custody.

We tried to quantify this a while ago. Dizzy was 3 years old as of 2181, but she had the appearance of someone who was 20-21 years old. Sin just turned 3 years old as of 2187, and he looks much the same as she did age-wise, so... Based on that... Gear Gestation (Pregnancy) Period: 2 months Gear Age Rate: About 7 Years per 1 Human Year. If you were to apply that to Sol, who has been a Gear since 2016-2187: 171 Years x 7 = 1,197 "Gear Years" Sol has experienced. He really IS an old man! But I should also mention that once Gears reach a certain "level of maturity" they cease to age/grow old in appearance. So Dizzy, Sol, Testament, etc will never change in appearance (same goes for Dr. Paradigm even though he looks rather old he claims to be an un-matured Dragon). Testament in particular hasn't changed his appearance since 2140 apparently. Oh yeah, and one of Dizzy's alternate endings in GGXPlus suggests she becomes Captain of the Jellyfish Pirates in 2281, while Sol becomes a new leader of a 'New' Sacred Order in that same year.

Y'know this is just my two cents, but maybe people should contact the guys who 'ran' the ARCSys Store and tell them this. Seems to be down right now, but that doesn't mean they couldn't make another one.

Somehow I don't think so. The worst projectile spam Guilty Gear has ever really had was from Ky, Venom, and Dizzy mostly (okay Justice, but she doesn't count anymore). Sure, Elphelt has a high and low targeting reticule, but it's closer to Noel's Optic Barrel if you ask me.

She wasn't "found" by the Jellyfish on her Birthday, just to clarify. According to Lightning the Argent Novel, Ky was finishing up his investigation with Blackard Company in January of 2181... the events with the Blacktech Data disc (GGX Drama CD) came right after that, then he went to America to investigate the Gear Bounty. So, sometime around January, maybe mid-February was when Dizzy was discovered. Based on that (and Dizzy's bio) she had just turned 3 as of December of last year (2180), so she was probably 'born' (if you can call it that) in 2177 thereabouts, but again, her Birthday of December 25th is assumed (since that's when her villager parents adopted her before they abandoned her to the Forest a few months after when she grew her wings and tail). As of GGXrd, Dizzy would be 10 years old with the mind of the equivalent of a 70-something genius intellect and a body of a 21 year old (since Gears don't age once they mature).

Someone told me a "Bush Dog" is basically what Hype Dog is. So she has a Hype Dog Piggy Bank. Also funny to note, Sin's move "Elk Hunt" sounds just like one of Ky's old moves "Impala Hunt".

Cleavage Window aside, I think she'll be something of a klutz type character. That idiot antenna is there for a reason. Also, Suzaki Aya.

Hate to somewhat burst your bubble but according to Lux (who I asked about Bardius, since she owns VastEdge) and apparently when Sol confronts him in battle, after he beats him (she used a Tyrant Rave on him) he melts in to a puddle while laughing. I don't think the Senato members will be doing much active fighting unless they get pushed in a corner. Even Crow Kuruwaba likes to dodge attacks and blow up stuff to make his getaways. These guys fight dirty. No one else is getting an Annie Oakley vibe from Elphelt but me, huh? Sometimes Guilty Gear reminds me of Wild Arms.
