Getcher Revelator PNGS here, Hot and fresh from the Official webpage! -
Jam was last seen doing Bounty Hunter work to cover the costs of the loan she took out on her restaurant (which Bridget was seen working at, but he may be looking for his twin brother or trying to become an entertainer at some point). Based on her GGXrd intro, she seems to be back to Bounty Hunting as a gig, though she's a chef on the side. While PWAB was chasing her for her Ki talent, I think they got enough data from her when Crow Kuruwaba tested his Justice Copy against her and lost, so they're probably biding their time trying to figure out how to deal with her fighting abilities, though I'm not so sure she'd stand a chance against Bedman.

In case any of you missed the dialogue (also extra fun links for related topics in reading).

Honestly I'd be more convinced if I heard more of "Jack Calabrisi's" roles besides Lars and Nash.
-
I'd love to hear your thoughts on PRCs, j1n.
-
Neither am I. I can say with 100% Certainty Sol's English VA was in Lightning Returns, and Jack Calabrisi was not on the Casting List of that game. Unless "Jack Calabrisi" is an alias? Is SFV considered a high profile game?

To be fair, I was generalizing on how people feel about stuff they may not always understand. Suffice to say that ARC System Works has a reason for any changes they make to characters in any roster of any fighting game they've ever made. Even if we might disagree there's still a reason for them doing stuff in lots of cases.
-
If you've ever actually wondered what moves characters "used to have" but ended up not using or had scrapped, just play EX Mode, it's chock full of GG Movelist history.
-
As someone who has played Ky for years, I can say that Ky once had a Mid-air Crescent Slash in GGXPlus. It could cancel into itself over and over and was broken (basically Ky's version of GG1Baiken's Youzansen). I don't see that happening for Greed Sever, as once its active frames are spent, he's vulnerable all the wayyyy down. So yeah, Steve H doesn't know what he's talking about or is drunk. And SBZ listening to his rambling is not unexpected, but still I am sad that he thinks these words are important.

This thread looks to be about as productive as my "Justice in GGXrd" thread was apparently. Tried to revise what I think should be her movelist which was crapped on in +R, but it didn't work out and nobody agreed and everyone hates bosses.

I said this to SBZ in chat, but I think it's warranted here: It's nice to discuss this stuff and makes people aware of what exists, but keep in mind that balancing characters is about the equivalent of replacing a Toilet Tank: screwing down one side means having to loosen the other side and vice/versa back and forth it goes until both sides are level. Balance means both sides have to be level and have a chance to win in any given match (Random vs Random is a good example as it forces players to adapt to any character on the spot, like a pop quiz on how familiar they are with said character). If that chance is reasonable across the board, then they're fine. If they're in fights where no matter what they try they lose, then you might have issues. But changing that character even a little bit will have an impact on how other characters interact with that character, so it has to be done carefully (almost like being a surgeon). Simply put, if the only character you know is Sol, then you won't know what sort of impact he'll have on other characters you aren't familiar with when changes are made to him. Most of the time, said changes are never really "good" across the board (especially if they are buffs, since buffs end up becoming a detriment to the opponent who is fighting Sol who GOT buffed, unless they themselves got a buff as well, or are able to somehow exploit Sol's buff). Even if the point was to make Sol stronger, how strong do you want him to be exactly? You have to draw a line somewhere on how strong characters are supposed to be... otherwise nothing anyone else does to the character you want to be "strong" will be effective and balance goes out the window. A "fight" in GG is supposed to go either way, even if it's random... that's kinda why Danger Time and Instant Kills exist in the first place, so that even if you suck, you have a chance to win still. TLDR: If you only main one character, you don't understand how to balance them or other characters. (Yet another reason why I don't have a main, lol)

It's not so much that I want to "stretch the screen", I just want to have it displayed normally through an adapter. I don't think lag would be a big deal (especially since most PS2 games don't have netplay to begin with).
-
Okay for starters, I still own a working Playstation 2, as well as a PS3, and I recently bought a High Definition Monitor to work with, so that's a plus. I can already play GGXrd and BBCPEX in HDMI, so that's a start. But what I want to do is hook up my PS2 to my monitor, which only has an HDMI and VGA port, so I'd probably need an RCA adapter of some kind I think (Red/White/Yellow Female cable connectors to the male ones I have). Can someone suggest some adapters or monster cables that could help me out. Oh yeah and I still own a Gamecube as well.

Okay, here's my analysis of that video.

@Hakkai_Requiem : To add to what Solhunter stated (good work by the way @Solhunter), Justice was the only Sentient Gear "known to the public at large". There were several actually: --Sol Badguy (of course) --Solaria (manufactured at Blackard/Plackard Company) --Dizzy (people knew she was a Gear, but they didn't know she was sentient even though they put a bounty on her) --Testament (though he was unable to fully deny Justice control) --Dr. Paradigm/His Tribe (it took about 5 years' time for Paradigm to wake up, but as of 2180 he was able to function as a living being independently and was already researching the Backyard according to the timeline) --Leopaldon (he/she/it is known for saving people lost in the Ice and Snow of Antarctica, so it has consideration for others) Exceptions: ---Sheevus/Sebass (former human, though when he became a Gear he went insane, much like Gig and Testament upon conversion) ---Geena (she was a former cyber human from P.W.A.B. who fused with a Gear-based lab called the "mothership" and gained Gear-like powers, like being able to fuse with technology, from GGXtra Manga, Tyr used his powers and transmuted her) Also, worth noting but the main reason Justice couldn't control the other Gears involved with the mission at Illyria in GGXrd was: ---She was originally only able to control Gears manufactured after her within the same "series" as she was in, which is to say the mass production series created AFTER her birth, though she did manage to control Youkai much later, that was coincidental as her ability to control her powers improved. Her ability to control Gears was originally a fluke that even "That Man" had no explanation for (Which by the way, is why he asked Raven to gather Solaria's Resonance data in Lightning the Argent).. ---The O.P.U.S. Gear Soldiers were specifically designed to follow Justice' orders while simultaneously retaining a basic array of functions even when they aren't under her control... which is why they reverted back to normal and didn't stop functioning like Gears presumably would. Here's my findings on Opus. ---Justice was still in the process of awakening, so her powers were limited to what Chronus could conjure up. Chronus later says the fusion process was incomplete as well. ---Dizzy and Sol had already become self-aware of control attempts from other Command-Type Gears before (from the Justice Copy incident of Accent Core's events, based on Sol's warning to Dizzy), no doubt they might have told Sin and Paradigm to be careful as well (and I'm sure Ky was wary of it as well once it dawned on him). Sin fell victim to the first Valentine's control in GG2, but he broke out of it after Sol beat some sense in to him. Bedman's ability to teleport should explain away the idea that it doesn't matter if they try to lock him up, he can just go someplace else. Also to anyone else: Do you have the Youtube video link of Jack-O's story? I'd love to watch it.

Bedman Q&A/FAQ thread: People play this guy I swear!
Blade replied to Poultrygeist's topic in Bedman
It happens in Neutral situations, but I see lots of Bedman's doing jump moves as part of their offense game, so I'm not sure how good an idea it is. -
Stuck Between Learning Blazblue or Guilty Gear.

^I wish that was the case in Wisconsin. Unfortunately I seem to be the only person who plays GG here, everyone else plays DDR, Gears of War, Halo, and Call of Duty.- 45 replies

Bedman Q&A/FAQ thread: People play this guy I swear!
Blade replied to Poultrygeist's topic in Bedman
To be honest combos like those aren't a big deal so much as throwing out jumping normals from low angles (example: 8 3 j.S or 8 1 j.P). What usually happens is I stay in the air too long doing these "instant overhead" tricks and get punished or airthrown or something like that. -
Bedman Q&A/FAQ thread: People play this guy I swear!
Blade replied to Poultrygeist's topic in Bedman
Can someone maybe give me some pointers on his 8-way dash? I was playing against someone named "PillowFightKing" the other day and he was all over the place... even did some kinda mid-air YRC that lets him get across the screen really really fast. He used j.P, j.K, and j.S a lot, but I don't know what inputs he used in 8-way or how to practice it. Jumping is pretty much my weak point with Bedman, so I mostly stick to ground combos or quick air combos with him. -
Anyone know why there's no balance changes in Revelator?
Blade replied to D-D-Domo's topic in Guilty Gear General
Since nobody's linking to said Interviews, thought I would. -
Here's my votes: Fave Guitarist: Shotaro Ohata (Obviously, though Yoshihiro Kusano's GG2 Overture work is great too) Fave Bassist: Shinji Masumoto (Because of Slayer's and Potemkin's GGXX Theme) Fave Keyboardist: Koichi Seiyama (But who did keyboard for GG2 Overture's theme for "That Man"?) Fave Drums: Kaichi Kurose (GG2 had a really nice drum set I think)

How come you didn't list the sound team from "The Missing Link". That game had some legendary sounds, man.

Saving the universe from Entropy isn't "quite" the same as preventing all souls from Entropy but I think I get it. Though to be honest I still don't get how Souls could even enter an entropic state in the first place... since they're immaterial and not something that just ups and disappears even if a body (in theory) disappears, the soul would remain (again, in theory). ...Ahhh... my head. Don't wanna think about it.

Player Match rooms allow the "Rematch" option if you know how to set it up. Otherwise if you're making a quick lobby here's a tip: Whenever you see the message "Station A/B/C/D Battle has ended" if you see nobody's in the line, just jump on board and you'll swap with whoever lost that match. I try to avoid matches with long lines, unless I'm just watching the other players do their thing and learn what they're doing.

Well, that explains why people were confused about Tuner's gender earlier. Thanks for clearing that up.
