  1. Stupid question, but you're talking level 3 2DD > 6CC etc, right?
  2. I'm not sure what you mean. j214DC doesn't hit anything. It's just a cancel move to prevent recovery while falling. It won't ever cause damage.
  3. When I was using Tsubaki for the first couple of times, I found it difficult to link something like 5BB > 2BB > 5CC. Like, the 5BB would drop the combo because I didn't shift to 2BB fast enough. Is there a better way of connecting her basic strings? Such as plinking or double tapping to be a good reference? Kind of confusing... my bad.
  4. Oh, I've already played all the old RPGs. FF6 being my favorite of all time. I have all the systems, so yeah I got a PS3. I have Valkyrie Chronicles, Cross Edge and Disgaea 3. Waiting for Resonance of Fate and Ar Tonelico 3 to release. I suppose I could pick up Demon Souls again. Shit was pretty hard though. There's also Record of Agarest that comes out same time as SSF4, if you're a tactics kind of person.

  5. I haven't even got on my xbox since school started. I just beat No More Heroes 2, so I'm going to get back into BB and probably pick up an RPG. Got any recommendations? I'm considering Blue Dragon or Eternal Sonata to pass time.

  6. I think it's just dependant on the number of hits you've done so far. If you've just done a 214D > 6DD > etc, I'm sure you'll have no problem getting off your said combo.
  7. Confirming some things 5B>6B>5C mash> 6C>236B is 2704 damage at max I believe 236D on CH is not Fatal j214D or 2147D is Fatal, but still a knock down/bounce. Can't seem to connect anything to it without a rapid. 632146D is Fatal apparently, in more ways than one. It's pretty hard to get off the 6A > 2147D loop. Tager can 360 or even 720 a 236A/B/C. Be careful on using this.
  8. If sledge follows same rules as it did in CT, Tager is in CH state before his fist comes out and during recovery. Although, I do believe he recovers rather quickly from it, but a D sword might be able to catch him if you're predicting a sledge. A lot of the time I would 66Dash > 2C Tagers in CT at the start of a round because they're always trying to sledge first because they predict I'll backdash and D sword.
  9. Slayer is very aggresive and Cactus is like mid-way between you and Slayer. Slayer falls for my random 2Ds at times but he learned quickly. Cactus used a lot of 6A very well. He had a similar style to my Haku, but not as much pressure attempts. I don't think Bang is like super awesome, no. I'm just not fond of how fast and mobile he is, along with D nail approach and great active frames and hitboxes that beat out most of Nu/Lambda already. But I'll adjust. You already know I can be weirdly fast with Nu.

  10. After fighting you so much, I've finally been able to beat Slayer and Cactus when I last played. Although their habits are different from you, it seemed much easier to deal with them since they weren't Countering my pressure strings. You cheater =p Good to know you can beat Pisces though. He's a huge zoner from what I remember. It's a tactic with Nu, so I'm not bashing it. But faster hop, 6A moves you forward and 6B being an overhead now, you got so many options as Haku now. It's gonna get fun =p I'm just not fond of how Bang is S tier now. But I guess that's how it goes when you fix a combo start on a character who already has the best and safest approaches. Typing this in art history. I hate lecture classes now. I wish I could be painting or some shit now.

  11. So, I guess it wasn't just me. She seems like a completely new character, which I'm sure that was their goal in the first place. Most of the Type X2 or whatever they're called, are pretty old for running cabinet games. I think most are roughly 5 years old in specs, basically equal to a geforce 7800 or so. I'm sure it couldn't hurt in upgrading, but be sure of what you're buying.
  12. Oh, pity they actually have to learn something other than 1 combo to play legit matches now.
  13. Not to mention you have to use it VERY sparingly because you only have one DP roughly every 10-15 seconds. I forgot the recharge rate.
  14. Maybe it's just the arcade stick I was using at the time, but TK feints seemed much easier to perform than on my TE stick. Not that they were really hard to do anyway, but it just felt easier, especially 66Dash > 2147D saber. I didn't magically throw out her giant sword DD once while doing this. Maybe the controls got stricter? Also, thanks EiseneFaust, I'll make note and give all that a whirl. On a story related spoiler note, Lambda isn't Nu. Nu isn't Lambda. They're just similar models, hence the different move sets. Also, Lambda is claimed to only be working at 90% by Kokonoe. Good cover up for making her B tier, I'd say
  15. It's not as bad as I'm making it sound, really. I've just spent so much time on Nu, it's hard to adjust to a new character who is suppose to be the same character. As long as you're referring buffering as canceling normals into specials, then yes, that all still works. It just doesn't seem as lenient. I will say that you can get a pretty easy 2.5k combo from a basic melee string like 2B > 6B > 5C mash > 6C > 236B. It's just a matter of remembering that you can't Act Parcer backward anymore. She's going to take a lot more precision to play. At least we won't see scrubby Lambdas in the quantity of what we had in Nu.
  16. Yeah, as No Limitz says, the timing is tighter. The faster you string something together, the easier it is to perform, but you can lose some hit confirming. For whatever reason, I was having a bit of trouble stringing a 5DD > 236D together. Although they don't combo, it's still good when they're at mid-screen range since they're usually expecting a 236A/B/C. It's the same with Tsubaki when you do her 236A > 214A > 22C(lvl 2). You literally string it all together without stopping, even though the actions do seem delayed inbetween. It took me a few good tries to get this down. While I'm on 236D, what can I do if this does land a hit? I didn't get to try 236C after the hit or much else.
  17. I got to play more Haku in CS. Although it's hard to pressure the CPU because they're retarded and have the weirdest blocking habits, Haku is still amazingly fast from what he used to be. Even his 623AA is much faster. I kind of wish the sparring mode was 2 players, so I could just have them sit there for 15minutes and pummel them. But nope. My first impressions of Lambda are kind of... hard to collect. I like her, but at the same time, she's so easily blockable now without the saw blade mix ups. The new saw blade even has a delay on coming out, so you can pretty much block on reaction to Lambda's body movements. You can rack up some major damage if you go melee heavy though. It's just hard to do.

  18. So, I got some Lambda experience in finally. She seems pretty stiff. The timing to link a lot of her attacks is pretty strict too. You can miss a 236B from 5DD pretty easily without knowing the timing, which is kind of hard to get used to after being able to cancel almost everything into a 236D as Nu. If you're a melee aggressive Nu, I'm not sure how much you'll end up liking Lambda. Jump cancels after 5DD and 4DD were pretty vital for melee aggression. Ah well, that's just first impressions with her. Once I learn to properly use her 236C and combo more effectively, I'm sure I'll like her a lot more.
  19. I'm more excited for it since basically all the new cast in SSF4 are non-fireball people who have ways around fireballs and dragon punches. But I'm still not nearly excited about it as CS

  20. Eh, school kicked in, so I'm going to be having back to back projects within the next week. It's going to be a while before I can shove some D swords your way. Maybe weekends, if I'm caught up. Although, I'm mostly practicing SF4 now since SSF4 comes out in early April.

  21. There's no such thing as move priority. It's all a manner of hit boxes and invincibility frames. Litchi's jC have longer range than Nu's jC, so she has a better chance at landing the hit.
  22. I'm Keir Tier. Above high tier and below Rachel CS tier.

  23. I think you missed what I said. 5DD, the 2nd sword, does not cause the crumble state (hit stun) that it does in CT. Which is what made it connect with 4DD. In CT and CS, the blockstun of 5DD is null, thus allowing the opponent to backdash when the 4Ds are coming.
  24. In other words, you're looking for things which can be observed via playing the game or frame data. http://s1.zetaboards.com/blazblue/pages/v13_data/ Knock yourself out. You see, Nu isn't a blockstun, pushback, tick throwing machine. She has mix ups. Use them. She has an incredible backdash and a command dash which links off most C attacks and all D attacks. You're really looking at the wrong character if you're trying to be specific on pushback data and tick throws. As for positioning... That's just learning how her D attacks work. It's all experience. GG and BB are games that can only be theorycrafted so far. The rest is experience and knowing how to control a character.
