  5. beginning of the match jump back and stay at a range where jump.C will barely hit nirvana. I like to stay in the air, throw it out once, and react to carl's positioning in the air. If you're afraid of j.b counterhits, then just block or even wait for him to dash at you in the air and hotaru him. If your spacing game has been on point, even if you wind up blocking carl, it's okay. Just tech the inevitable throw attempt because that = puppet summon, and even though hakumen has tools to deal with it, you just don't want to be in that situation and guess wrong. Carl's damage with meter is upwards of 5K if you take some stuff you shouldn't while stuck in that bad spot. I can see why it's even, because even though 4.C and j.C make it hard for Carl to get in, he has ways around it. It's just a matter of who has better spacing, and knowing when to block - and being able to tech throws. If you can't tech throws, carl just gonna grab you and throw you at nirvana all day. ;o

I tdon't make sense you can block low. and I say give them more damage and blockstun. - Hakumen fuck this char. he so fucking broken and cheap. why the fuck do counters beat everything? I think his counter should only work on special moves, and I dont think it fair he invincible when he does thim either. I tyhink it super bullshit too that he got a move that do 3k damage, HITS HIGH, THEN HITS LOW WTF IS THAT BULLSHIT AN DHE COMBOS AFTERWRAD IN THE CORNEr. I say it should take 4 stars instead, and make a distortion drive flash so I can react better to this fucking fast overhead. I heard he has another really fast 'overhead' but he can only do it in the air so i think that okay - Rachel she's dead. WHY THE FUK DID YOU NERF HER ASW GIVE US CT RACHEL BACK.   10. Scrubs complain everything. If it does a lot of damage, especially if it take no (perceived) effort, it'll get bitched about. All you do is spam fireballs wtf, you hit me with your sword three times and I died, Hakumen's fucking broke as shit, what a faggot character (from a V-13 player, via x-box live in CT.) the way I see it, people who complaining about the CSII changes because ASW nerfing stuff that scrubs complained about are just complaining ass scrubs. There's like layers of scrubdom, like yomi. forum complainings, whining about nerfs that came about because of scrubs complaining, is like yomi layer 3 to them. They're ahead in their own little mindgame.
  11. Tell him to read the stickied threads in this (the hakumen forum.) Specifically: Sparks Hakumen Guide thread, Hakumen Q and A thread, and the Hakumen Combo thread. When he's done reading that and familiar with it, read the hakumen matchup threads. Once he does all this and practiced those combos in the H-Man combo thread, tell him to post a video - and then I'll give more specific advice.

  13. 6D and 2D were actually buffed from CT, to CS, if that's what you guys are talking about. Well, Kinda. They gained some more active frames, and they prorate more so you get less damage from them. the CSII nerf to J.D doesn't bother me at all.

  15. You sound like you have no idea what the hell you're talking about. If hakumen whiffs a drive, unless it's 5D, you have a billion years to run up and throw him for free. this shit's easy; that shit's easy. Everybody commentating on how easy a character they don't play is. Whatever though, Hakumen's combos are pretty easy. So are a lot of things in this game.

Naked Icecar gets IB'd and punished on reaction almost everytime someone does it to me. Shit, I think that's one of the very first things x-box live taught me do (instant block punish icecar.)   17. I'll be damned if I lose to someone who can do combos easy but don't know what the fuck they're doing. I'm just saying, that knowing what parts of Ragnas blockstring against you is unsafe is more useful information down the road. So maybe Mr. Scrub or new player or whatever can do all his combos. Great, does he even know when to use them? Nope. He doesn't. And he won't get a chance to use them either.
  18. Well you're in luck because you'll never ever play a game with nothing but 5-5 matchups and possessing crazy different characters like Guilty Gear or something. It's not humanly possible.
  19. You want characters to be as diverse and as balanced as possible. That's almost impossible to do both. However, as long as the tiers are relatively compressed, people shouldn't be complaining. If you look at CS's tiers, and look at the matchups, I'd say that the majority of the cast is tournament viable.
  20. J.D can do terrible terrible damage, it's true. But I can live with it. The reason being is that any time you could grab someone with a J.D you could just use hotaru instead - and get more damage (fatal counter) and a longer wall carry combo if needed. The thing is that pressing one button is easier and J.D takes 0 meter to execute. So it's not really that big a deal.
  21. Well considering that Hakumen goes about even with almost the entire cast save for 1 or 2 matchups definitively in his favor and like 1 definitively bad matchup, I'd say so.
  22. Chipp doesn't do great damage. He does however have amazing mixup, and all his damage leads to more guessing games, and while he's not a *great* character, he certainly does pretty well.
  23. Top tiers got nerfed, and bottom tiers got buffs. I don't see how those don't make sense. You do realize the whole point of the first loctests is just to screw things around intentionally to see which changes work and which don't. Posts like these just.... ugh.
  24. From the different translations I'm getting, the change to hakumen's Yukikaze super is that they're increasing it's damage? Something about it's damage, and they're taking away it's 'super' properties (if you reversal yukikaze, as in activate it on the first frame after a recovery, The attack comes out twice as fast after the counter is activated. which used to be really good in CT to use on wakeup against projectiles)
  25. According to the loctest notes on BBCS II, litchi and bang are getting nerf batted. Hakumen no longer has any follows for his J.D counter (like it was before in CT. I can live with this.) 5.D has more damage on it. Something was changed to his counter super, yukikaze. Noel's j.4D is supposedly fast as fuck now. Valkenhayn is apparantly broken as fuck god tier
