No, what happened to that tournament? Group therapy is extremely easy to get into, but this is south carolina and it's extremely racist down here. I'm dead ass serious. Which is upsetting. Were there any white people with you? I'm guessing not. I go to another bar on Five points called Red Hot Tomatoes, it's not nearly as hopping as most other bars, but I know one of the bartenders there and we're friends. She's pretty cool and has gone out of her way to assist me before. So I hang out there a lot. Probably not the greatest hot spot. But w/e. I literally go to Group Therapy because it's the only bar in five points without terrible ass music playing. Justin said he was going to mail me my phone, but I haven't gotten it yet. So w/e. Also, david messaged me saturday on SRK that you guys were hanging out at Pat's house. Too bad I didn't log on SRK until Sunday.

Are you going to be going to that wal-mart tournament to get a free copy of the game Phillip was talking about? If so, I wont even bother to come into work late to take wal-mart's copy of the game.

New J.C adds so many things to his game. As a combo component, it pushes opponents towards the corner with impunity. It allows for corner combos the end in knockdowns to allow for a favorable position after scoring damage. It lets hakumen zone people out with a poke for once. Great for creating distance and reminding your opponent to respect hakumen's personal space. True, he lost his reliable anti-air, but new 6A gives him some semblance of a blockstring that can lead to mixups. Overall, he lost a few things, gained a whole lot more to not only compensate, but justify the minor nerfs.

need to keep the south carolina thread on the front page, motherfuckers.
-
I dunno about that. I still download them because of their general excellent play and how inspiring it is.

Really look forward to seeing the CS grand finals matches. Fuck evo for running melty blood over GG:AC. That's just bullshit.
-
I think challenge mode is there to show new/beginners/scrubs who dont go to dustloop practical match combos.
-
BladeofJustice, I haven't tested that yet. However, I will say that my reaction is that it is Rachel only. The reason being is that in CT, there was shit you do to rachel you couldn't do to the other cast, because her hitbox when she's being hit is really fat.

Keyon i'm putting you on shitty fighting game probation.
-
Something tells me I dont even want to see that game period.
-
She has a giant heart staff keyon. A giant heart staff.
-
watch that hoe play like may or something and you dont play her for more than 5 minutes. Valkenhayn ftw. I so wanna play him. I've literally sat here all day and ate icecream with valk's theme song on loop.

Since you like Vega, that'd be a good choice too. Since you said Cammy first though, I just assumed. But yeah, Hazama is a lot like vega, he can be really lame and he can fly across the screen. He can also use his snakes like vega's cr.mp, only it moves across the sceen - and if they get hit with it you can fly into their face for a combo. Hazama is also extremely dangerous when he has meter. He has a dp that's guaranteed 4-5k damage. Hazama is good.

You'd probably like Noel

I have to play Valkenhayn out of principle. Especially if he plays like Slayer at all. I loved Arakune before I Played CT. I saw videos of him and I was like "wow cool, a blob that morphs and shit. Im playing that character!" Turns out his playstyle was not what I wanted in a character *AT ALL* I think I got really lucky with Blaz, because not only is hakumen super cool to me, his playstyle is perfect.

Hakumen vs Jin feels slightly in Hakumen's favor. despite projectile barriers, this matchup has not changed too much from CT. It's just that Hakumen's new J.C, and Jin's overall nerfed state tips the scale to Hakumen's favor.

I wont lie, I have like zero motivation to learn Tekken. not that it's a bad game. Just don't feel like spending time trying to be good at it. I am pretty hype for Myrtle Beach. Oh and btw, Litchi evil now.
-
trust me, you'd be disappointed how little I actually have done with Tekken. I still dont know any law moves. Literally just pressed some buttons 10 minutes in training mode and shit just worked, then I turned it off.
-
I touched the game and messed around with him, but calling it practice is too generous.
-
Well what's your playstyle? If you pick Hakumen, the first thing you need to learn are subtle things that you need to know about the game system to play him effectively. You're gonna have to know frame data, too, so you know what to grab with his drive. Hakumen's about fundamentals and spacing, even more so in CS because his new j.c is an amazing zoning tool. You need to whore this move out to keep people from getting in on you until you have meter to deal with them proper. Meter management is also important. Since all of his combos require some meter, you really need to know how to properly manage it. You also need to learn instant blocking. It's especially important for H-Man because he's a meter dependent character. if you can't instant block, you'd be handicapping yourself with him. Hakumen is a character that doesn't require heavy execution (though his air combos do have timing to them.) but more a straightforward fundamental character. He hits hard, has great defensive tools, and is extremely dangerous up close if he has meter to burn. His problem is that he can't do much until he's built meter.

Everybody just calls me SimpleKiss IRL. -Shrug- I'm the white guy with huge ears, and kinda looks hispanic (i'm italian.) ConvoltedStyle is Keyon (The dude that look like Rick James when he was skinny) Spring_Raid is David. You'll know him when you see him. He's very enthusiastic when meeting new people and he'll let you know who he is. He's columbia's Hype man ever since he showed up. AwardTour is Dwaine. He kinda looks like a lighter skinned cross between Chris Rock and Wayne Brady. Everyone else I can't make funny ass references about their appearances, and thus, I can't describe them. The man who looks like a tarantula and says "idunno man" in a low monotone voice is Xavier. His little brother is more fun than he is.

Hey what's up dude. We have some Guilty Players here. I myself am learning to play Guilty. I also play Blazblue. Spring_Raid has Guilty for the Wii also. We've been on NGBC for a good minute. We're having a ranbat this saturday, For Street Fighter 4. There will also be Tekken and a Smash Tournament. PM Spring_Raid for details.

It's nice to see the newly appointed Hakumen Moderator is not only actually active and doing his job in the Hakumen forums - He's an amazingly good player, too. Great stuff, Spark.
