Just take a look at the control settings and you'll see it all there. You can at least know what button does what.

Ah, OK. Listen up! The reason is, the buttons are shortcuts for A/B/C/D buttons. By default, the LT is A+B+C. What that means is that every time you hit LT you're really hitting A and B and C at the same time. Since it's three buttons, the game interprets those inputs the way they'd fit best. If you're just standing doing nothing and hit LT, it'll see A+B+C, and the only thing it could fit with is a grab, B+C, so you grab. If you were holding back and hit LT, it sees back + A + B + C and so it takes the back + A + B and barrier blocks. But if you're ATTACKING and hit it, it sees you landing an attack with A+B+C in the mix which means you want to rapid cancel. I hated having the wrong thing happen at the wrong time since it has so many functions mapped to one button, so what you should do is split them up to different buttons. Make one A+B so it'll be barrier and only barrier, one B+C so it's grab and only grab, etc. It's already set up that way actually...

Anyway, counters and timely use of the sword is one of the things that make my Hakumen different so I try to use them well.

Well, that's why I use it, if you hit me it does a some damage, if I get you with it I do enough to make up for it, imo. (However, if I'm getting punished a ton I'd scale it back.) I don't mash it, I just reflexively do it when I think I'm gonna get hit, sometimes the counter comes out. Like when you saw me fighting a Tager once and he'd hit me with a poke then try to sledge, which would ordinarily be a combo, but I'm so used to countering sledge on reaction I hit counter anyway and it just so happened that he didn't have the timing tight enough which let the counter come out. Otherwise I try to counter when I think you might attack me. I have the timing and spacing good enough from experience for a lot of it that I can avoid punishment unless I'm real close. I dunno what you mean by mashing otherwise though... your blockstring is airtight and it's not like Inferno Divider where I hit you whether or not you do anything.

Ah, yes, I thought you were just doing that because you didn't want to get countered. Well, as bad as whatever you did could be, if I won the match it can't be that bad right. :P

Which games were those, the ones I won? Were you zoning me because I was playing well? I appreciate the zoning because it makes me have to deal with the matchup instead of winning because of you going easy on me. :P I mean what good would it do for me if I never learned how to deal with it, then I'd fight someone else and get wrecked. People will trash talk about anything, just ignore them. They just want to find something to complain about. :P But, I think you were zoning for all our matches weren't you?

Arcade, is it OK with you if I upload some of the matches I won (and one I lost) tonight? I want to get some advice on Haku v Nu since a lot of the Nus have powered up since the last time I asked for advice. Plus my last several uploads have just been me getting my ass handed to me and I wanted to upload one I won for a change. :P I could tell you were working on IBing things. If you didn't notice, that was why I kept getting hit by random swords in the middle of your j.Ds too.

I was playing a few matches with Arcade Fire tonight, he beat me for most of them but I actually won a few matches which is rare. Usually I'll take rounds but not matches; the matches I've had before are kind of old, I might upload one from tonight to show you. Yeah, everyone on XBL guards that move every time so you don't even see Hakus using it anymore.

I'm watching your vids from that PS3 ranbat right now, you were doing great. I saw you up against Rachel, I thought no way he's beating her. Then you win and it's Arakune, same deal. Finally you lost to Nu but I play Haku too and from the way you played I could tell you were on point with a lot of things. Some of the things I wasn't so sure about but we all do some crazy things when Nu has us pinned down. You have PS3 only? I'm on XBOX. I noticed you weren't doing any falling C combos, you like to use 5C > Zan a lot.

I was just recalling when we used to fight on ranked a lot. :P
