So what game does this play like? I heard it's like Marvel VS Capcom 2, which I never liked. Or is it more a party type game like Smash Bros?

Yeah, I thought the iPad was gonna fall between the cracks immediately. It reminds me of the iCube (another Apple product)... they both have the same problem: they don't have a target market. The iCube was supposed to be like the iMac, but more expensive and powerful. But if you wanted that you'd just get their towers. So it was too expensive for iMac people and not powerful enough for people who wanted power. Ended up nobody buying it. The iPad is like an iPhone except a computer but if you want that you can just get a laptop... Well, who knows. Maybe Apple will pull this one out after all is said and done.

It makes sense. I mean, how many hoops do you have to jump through to even know about it? You'd have to play games -> have an xbox / ps3 -> find blazblue and like it -> get good at it -> want to enter a tournament -> know about EVO -> be serious enough to want to go -> actually go... lulz. By the time you get through all that it's amazing if anyone is left. :P I'd definitely go if it wasn't so far away and expensive. ;_;

Are any girls actually going to play in that tournament though? It sounds more like it'll just take up a space that could be used for a good game...

Hmm, in the fourth video Ryoko you did something that confuses me. You got a grab on that Noel twice, and you had a ton of meter, but you just let her go after Gurren. I like your corner combo though... I'm swipin' dat goodness. grab -> gurren -> 2C -> j.2C -> falling j.C -> 5C -> gurren -> 6B Leaves you right next to her on wakeup too...

Also as for playing defensively, I don't think you actually WERE trying to. The entire first round you kept eating more combos, I think it was because you were trying to mash out in between. If you just held out through it you could have made it through. And you were doing well in the beginning when you were taking the fight to him. I think you would have maybe won if you went offensive instead. Can't be stuck in mixup if you're the one attacking! Wait I was watching the match against DJ Magic Marco. What I said still stands though. :P I'll have to actually play DC to see his style... then it'll be easier for me to give advice.

SCRUB!!!!!!!!! GET OFF DUSTLOOP!!!!! Yeah, I have some matches where I just get a train ran over me from her attacks. :P One thing I would have done is IAD after her whenever she fired her gun at you. She's usually open when she does that and even if she recovers in time you can still get in on her. I was impressed by the hotaru though, that was pretty fast. I can only do that if I specifically stop what I'm doing and think, "OK... I'm going to hop now and..."

He was already airborne when they were doing that, that's why it was possible, I think.

Oh god, ART HISTORY. I took that as my required fine arts course thinking "how bad it could it be" but it was just memorizing tons of paintings and artists and their dates. All I did was catch up on sleep in that class. It wasn't even hard technically, but it was so boring I couldn't bring myself to try except to just get it over with. :P Yeah, he is really good at zoning, but when I get close to him, I feel like I'm playing someone who just picked up the game. Being able to command dash and counter swords really helps. Make no mistake, they were still very close; just not getting perfect'd 3/5 times. :P How do Cactus and Slayer play against you? I imagine they just 6A everything (although I'm getting comfortable using that too, but I still use counters when I see a Shippu coming :P).

It's exciting that CS is out there, but I feel like waiting for the console version... that way I'll anticipate it more when it comes out. Hakumen sounds like he'll be fun... or at least it'll be interesting to see how I'll do in matches where I already do okay but the odds are supposed to be stacked against me (ie Nu) when they're more even now... supposedly. Oh man, I fought Pisces last night. I hadn't had a chance to play in a while, been swamped with work. He's like level 90 now. We played like 5 ranked matches, and I won 4 of them. It's amazing. @_@ I've never been able to beat him before, except a one time fluke, and now I have COME SO FAR. Basically it felt like I was playing against you, except he didn't do half the things you did... so it felt easy... although sometimes it worked against me because he didn't do a move when he could have. I shouldn't let my guard down though. It's never over with Nu. :P

Oh man Leonil, I love your 2D combo. I'm almost able to 2D Tager's 2D on reaction now and have been doing that combo afterwards. Although I still love the feeling when hitting with Shippu. Also you guys went over so many combos in that combo thread, it's impossible to keep track of any. #_# I'll have to sit down one day and just look over them. *brain bursts*

I'll do it tonight. :P I saved two replays. Both VS Tager... so you can change them now on the leaderboards if you want. I just haven't busted out my recording stuff yet.

The grab-train's left the station! Sophisticat: Ah, okay. Yeah, I do have like 50000 Nu videos. :P I think I fight Nu the most out of any character. I might have something else laying around though... gotta play more matches. :P Blade, I think the one thing that jumped out at me is, working on your defense. He pretty much ran through you the first round like that. But Noel always mixes me up too X_x
