  1. Oh, that reminds me, here's a whole lotta me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDXaoUAjlQM vs. Jin/Tsubaki http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7zWtQOYOrk vs. Hazama http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5svG4NPj0GY vs. Noel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlgR4UWQdPU vs. Tager http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EtiaXeyGSk vs. Ragna http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMMMKJu6SrQ vs. Noel http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/8578203 vs. a lot of people. Starts at around 53 minutes.
  2. Oh, that reminds me, if Carl tries the old corner air tech clap reset trap, glance at your wind. If you have at least 1 in stock, DO air tech, and then 9D away from the clap and out of the corner. And then laugh at Carl, and shout "Rachel away!"
  3. That cat chair combo does just under 4.5k in CS1. It's always been good. And aside from taking 50 heat and 2 wind (really it's 3, unless you're a huge gambler), it also depends on the position your opponent is hit in. They have to be on, or really near, the ground or else they'll fly too high up, and they have to get hit at about the chair's max distance otherwise they'll cross over you. It's really not a big deal.
  4. Oh, okay. I believe YOU, then. But not Id. He's crafty like that. And I used to play Tetris Attack too! I should practice up at some point, though. I also hear that Mike and Rachel say they're going to rape us all. But we'll see about that. *dramatic knuckle crack*
  5. I believe he's saying that the 6A causes 13 exclamation points to appear on screen whenever it's not barrier blocked. Just for those people who have a hard time getting the point of "air unblockable".
  6. I liked the center area, just because there was more room for people to stand around and watch. And I've still never tried this AC+ team mode, so I don't believe you that it exists. So would this be a team tournament, each person playing their character, or is one person going to be playing all three characters? Because I'm going to have to learn two more characters. I'm thinking a team of Axl, EX Axl, and Gold Axl.
  7. Merry Christmas, everybody! Oh, how I hope this is true, and stays. And to non-Rachel users, take note, this means you might lose all those free auto-pilot jump-ins. You might actually have to start *gasp* playing smart! And I doubt Tao cares. She bounces off the guard point anyway, and gets a free counter hit for it. However, if you listen closely, you can hear Hazama weeping.
  8. So both 6B and 5CC will slide you forward without having to use a wind? Is that what people are saying, here? That's... interesting. Certainly makes things easier, but... kind of takes away the fun, doesn't it?
  9. I'm kind of curious about this too. I thought it might mean the opponent is frozen for longer when they hit the auto-guard, so that they have a lesser chance of recovering before the actual shock comes out. Think Tao bouncing off it with her drives. That's just my guess, though.
  10. TD certainly didn't hurt to have as an option. Occasionally it would go through a Lambda or Hazama projectile. And crossing under someone during the middle of a Tempest Dahlia is the most fun to be had, period. It's also off the ground at frame 1 (little-known fact), which BBL ISN'T, so it's a hilarious way to hit spinny Tagers. But yeah, I'm not really sure they did say it was removed. They don't really say anything solid about it. Hopefully it's not, and they do something to make it more useful. Because I like options. Really, even just a general damage buff might make it worth using more.
  11. Hey, buddy! How's it going? Them's some mighty fine ragequits you're doing. I'm sorry that Rachel is too much for you to handle, but if you want I could help you go shopping for a new pair of testicles. How about this weekend, pal? Love, Jason D.

  12. I saw the 6B breaking primers thing from a translation from someone on another forum which will not be named. A couple people here translated the same line to "6B is jump cancellable even on block." So I think somewhere in there is where the mistranslation came from. I'm pretty sure 6B won't be breaking primers. That is just crazy powerful.
  13. And I'll show you all how good the new Rachel is. By beating you with the old Rachel. Unless you're Severin. (note: I probably won't come, because I want to sleep instead. Mmm. Sleep.)
  14. It's not just you. The Hazama match-up is pretty bad for Rachel. Just be patient. You will be doing a lot of blocking. Don't try to mash out moves, because like you said, his moves will beat yours, and they counter-hit stun for days. And if he pulls himself in with his chain, again just block. You have a very small chance of an anti-air working on him, and the risk isn't worth it. When you do get some offensive momentum going, try to stay on him as best as possible. Even wind yourself forward to keep on him, if you have to. And bait that super whenever you feel it coming. Also, keep in mind that most Hazamas like to hop around like rabbits, and even hold up-back every time they're under pressure, so a good air throw or winded IAD tends to be hilariously effective.
  15. A pat on the back and a firm handshake. Just kidding. I hope.
  16. Alright, now Makoto likes to come in pretty often using her 3C. It goes under a lot (A LOT) of stuff, and it's actually her advantage on block. However, this also makes people reckless with it, and if you think she's going to try this, just jump straight up. And if she does do it, j.2CD right onto her. Leads to good damage, and it feels sooooo good to see that smash down on her. And if you're wrong, and she doesn't do it? No big deal. You're just hanging out in the air. Feel free to block any time. And yes, I wouldn't recommend using your 2C to counter her j.2C either. It clashes way more often than not, and if it does that's free big damage for her. If you want to use it though, keep in mind that Makoto should be as low as possible for it to work. Basically, you gotta hit above the tail and connect with that squirrel part.
  17. ...You can get to Riverside from FFA? Wow. Go mass transit system!
  18. I know the feeling! I hate it when I win tournaments too.
  19. I don't know you either, but you're my new best friend. Come down here any time. Shout outs to Shining Aquas.
  20. A windless level 3 j.2C from George is very easy. Just jump up as soon as possible (knowing that George will pick them up), and come down when you're high enough. But after a BBL, yeah, that's a pain. It depends very much on factors such as the opponent's hit box, how high they are when getting hit by the BBL, and how many hits of the BBL are going through them. It also differs depending on the opponent's blood type, the flux of the earth's magnetic pulse, your mother's maiden name, and what kind of pants you're wearing. But seriously, I usually just do it by timing instinct. Like "BBL, super jump, 8D, wait for thiiiiiiiis long, and now come down..." But even with that, it's still really tricky to land. Practice practice!
  21. There's a tournament this Sunday. Check the events section. I believe GG and MB starts at 2:00, and BB starts at 5:00. All the cool people are going to be there. And you should enter too, of course. And focus on having fun, and not worry so much about how you're going to do. I also heard that Zong is going to enter MB this time. Playing as Mecha-Hitler.
  22. Quoted for truth. A good B or C Lobelia can hit her before she's in position, but for the most part it's a great full-screen punish for summoning anything.
  23. Did you just move here? Or have you lived in LA all this time and never played at an arcade yet? That's just crazy talk. Hell yeah you're coming down to FFA, and you're especially coming this Sunday. And don't worry, you'll make plenty of friends once you go.
  24. Hey, 17th place for life. And I thought you played Guilty Gear, qwerty? Haha, just kidding. I love you.
  25. Ohhhhh, so you're Nate! You know, because your screenname here is so confusing apparently. And yeah, good games! Want to hear a funny story? Right before we left I played a couple matches against Spirit Juice. Where, in match, I did that one corner throw double-fatal combo that I think I gave up on after a dozen times of trying it on film. It's like they always say: doing moves in real matches is easy, but you've gotta be pro to land it in training mode. And as for shout-outs, yeah, good times to everyone I met! I probably should've played more casuals, but I was really tired for the latter part of the night. Oh well. I also didn't get a lot of people's names, so whoops. You'll definitely know me if you saw me playing, at any rate. So ggs to all of you!
