  1. Are you currently in SoCal, right? You should play me one of these days. Kitty
  2. Because we're the best. I thought everyone knew this already.
  3. Hey Zong, next time someone compliments your avatar you should immediately change it to something gay. Bonus points if you can get the person to edit their comment. ...And you know what, NOW I understand why that happened to you that one time! Someone with my sense of humor had power.
  4. You should come dressed as your main. And I was going to be funny and say that everyone has to dress as their main, but then I remembered who I play. So nevermind that idea. Or maybe I'll buy a garbage bag and paper plate and switch to Arakune...
  5. Dacidbro commentated his own birth.
  6. I've thought about that. And just leaving it blank. But it's still a lot of crap I'd have to fill out. But yeah, I'm not the only person either. I just wanted to remind people of the hilarity of "For full information, click here!" *click* *empty page*. Especially if they start trying to run a regional minor, or something. ...And did your avatar just change twice in like the past hour?
  7. If you're having any big events, you might want to announce it on this thread too. Facebook doesn't let you see Facebook unless you sign up for Facebook. Which is a fine scheme for getting members, but it still can't defeat laziness. So keep in mind that Facebook is not openly viewable internet.
  8. Huh. Well I'm pretty sure I can make this. And it would certainly be nice to see some of you NorCal weirdos again/for the first time. However, I would need to hitch a ride, and housing wouldn't hurt either. If there are any generous benefactors out there, PM me! And never fear, I'm willing to pay for my fair share of this-and-that. And for some added incentive: I might put out.
  9. Yeah, I was going to say, I'm pretty sure I've been hit for about 5k and over 50% curse refill after failing to block his mixup during the last two seconds. Edit: Make that exactly 50%. I was just judging by eye.
  10. I'm pretty sure that's just because the PS3 controller is better for fighters, though. I really don't think there's any difference between the two SKUs, for the record. And if you can play on stick... who cares!
  11. Hmm. I'm not sure if you can change the key config if you put a controller in. I think it just goes to the default of... you know, P as the square button, K as X, S as triangle, HS as circle, and Dust as R1. Though, if you had a stick with a PS2 hookup, and plugged that into the controller port... would that also make it default to the same way you two play already? No idea! But it would be a fun experiment. But yeah, I remember when I first learned GG at an arcade too. I mean, Kick on the top? What's up with that! Axl does not like mixing up Punch and Kick. And it made his counters weird too. The bottom button is for the high counter, and the top button is for the low counter. But oh well, I'm used to it now. Also, I'd just like to emphasize again, tonight would be an awesome time for coming down. Why, it's a beautiful day here. The birds are singing, and the streets are filled with laughter. I even heard they were giving away free ice cream and puppies. It's totally the best time to come.
  12. Actually, I've been noticing this with a lot of projectiles. To the point where I think it's not the Spike Chaser getting special treatment for not disappearing, but more of the fact of Lobelias getting special treatment BY disappearing. I haven't done any actual count, but I'm pretty sure that most projectiles in the game DON'T disappear when the character is hit. It seems like they went really half-assed with their idea on how fireballs should behave. And Rachel suffered pretty badly for this since it's her only good mid-range poke option. It's pretty dumb that the best range for her 236A is also the best range for most people's 3C, and the fireball won't end up trading. Apparently that one blip of non-comboable Lobelia damage would've been way too OP.
  13. Not bad. But I've seen better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7F3O6WYfHQ
  14. Oh hey, tonight at FFA is totally doable for me. And Wednesday afternoon, not so much. So if you guys do decide to go today, post up! (and preferably post before 8:00, because then I won't see it.) Oh, and I just realized, what do you mean about the arcade layout is suicide? If you play on controller, you'll be happy to know that the FFA machines have a port where you can plug in and a use a PS2 controller.
  15. Yeah, totally. Add me whenever you can. You can find me online most weekdays right after 6:00, until about 8:00 or so.

  16. Both of you are too nice! Seriously, don't be afraid to ask whatever you want. You are in no way interrupting this thread. In fact, this thread is like 95% off-topic ramblings anyway. Feel free to join in! Also, I should warn you, we have some pretty good players around. Like this guy, our reigning champion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoGLKoP2nDs
  17. Yeah, you were Zongone during the SBO Qualifiers. And beating Score Attack with a character unlocks the unlimited version of that character. I haven't tried with anyone else yet, but I know that's going to be a pain. I could probably scrub it out with Tager, Ragna, and Bang, and maybe watch the AI epically fail if I go zoning with Lambda, Arakune, and Hazama, but beyond that... some of this will not be easy. Time to learn those taunt loops!
  18. Story mode is awesome and everyone should try it. Especially if your nickname is Zong1. And if you don't, you're never going to know the joy of valley girl Nu. Also, Ike, if you're offering to unlock stuff, want to go through Score Attack with every character (except Rachel) for me? Thanks buddy!
  19. Damn, you are too modest. No need to apologize so much! And yeah, FFA definitely has more random people playing GG. But really, it doesn't matter, as long as you post something about when you're going to try to get other people on here to gather together for a night. You should totally do this. (I like playing new people.) Oh, and evenings would be best, because most people work during the day.
  20. Nah, I keep telling you, Rachel's a girl. ...See what I did there?
  21. Okay, most obvious thing. Makoto's Blodia Punch distortion drive is a complete shut-down move for Rachel. It covers almost the entire screen and comes out incredibly fast. And it'll punch through a Lobelia, kill George, and then hit Rachel all at the same time. And while I've yet to test this, I'm pretty sure it would punch through an entire Tempest Dahlia also. Once she has 50% meter, any zoning or summoning is extremely dangerous. Otherwise, zoning does indeed work really well.
  22. This thread is for discussing the Rachel vs Makoto match-up in BB:CS. Not to be mistaken for their match-up in CT.
  23. That's what you get for making fun of GG. Also, does the big hazard sign show a picture of a bomb? Or a child being launched through the front window? Because that would be funny. Someone needs to hire me to make car warning symbols...
  24. Everyone J. Else. He's a wealthy aristocrat from Sri Lanka, and plays a mean game of Guilty Gear. Perfect! See Zong, you even got a sparring partner.
