I played CT casually back when I lived in the college dorms. Didn't really have a main, but once I got my own place and a copy of CS, I immediately went for Hazama. Since I was (and still am) a newbie, I was terrible no matter which character I chose, going from Noel, to Ragna, to Rachel, to Bang, to Tsubaki, and back to Noel. I almost shelved the game because I couldn't find my niche. Then I saw Lambda and fell in love with her air combos. I even started to learn the fightan game lingo, numbers, and downloaded her frame data.

Then the game and I had a long time apart.

Then I picked up CSEX last Saturday. Been grinding my thumbs dry in Lambda's Challenge mode and raging online like nobody's business (I don't send hatemail, though). Just managed to complete Challenge #12 a few minutes ago (first 3 hits of 3C > 236DC > 236C > etc. > 632146D) after having failed miserably at it a couple nights ago, and damn did that feel good when it finally clicked. Since it's Friday tomorrow I'll be practicing with her a lot more.

(also: Hi, I'm new)

With any new fighting game, I scroll through the character select screen until I see someone that jumps out at me. When I first played BB I remember thinkng, "Oh, this game has a crazy demonic looking cat chick with huge claws? I guess I'll main her." It's a bonus that she happened to be the funnest to play.

When I first picked up this game, I was honestly coming from Super Smash Bros Brawl knowing that I really loved aerial characters like Jigglypuff. When I heard about Taokaka, I pretty much flipped and tried her in CT, only to find that this game was a bit too hard for me when I got absolutely stomped by Haku-Men in her storymode. Not to mention I had no idea how to combo at all!

Being a bit disheartened I decided to try Nu since I also had a thing for zoning characters as well, and despite her being high tier and all that stuff, I couldn't click onto her. It was when I was still playing Nu that I then got absolutely stomped by the Rachel CPU. I kept going back and back and I just kept getitng killed, until I came to a realization that she actually looked pretty cool! So I tried her and Rachel pretty much became my first main character in Blazblue.

Of course, this changed in Continuum Shift when she got absolutely nerfed to the ground. I decided to experiment with the rest of the cast, playing a heavy amount of Tager and Tsubaki until I discovered Arakune, where he became my main all of CS. It wasn't until I haven't began to play the game a lot with my friends anymore before I decided to get good with all of the characters out of completion-sake. I could say I did all of the challenges and looked at all of the Dustloop combo threads just to practice my technical skills so I can improve in not only this fighting game, but other fighting games as well. The last character that I ever practiced was Taokaka, the character that got me interested in the first place. Throughout the remainder of CS2 to Extend, I decided to just play both Arakune and Taokaka, and eventually, I just moved on to Taokaka.

I pretty much moved on to a lot of characters, Makoto and Platinum included, but I think I don't have something I'd call a main character. If I had to say, I probably mained the majority of the characters... but as of right now, I think I'm a competent Taokaka player, and a really good Arakune player.

Well... first I picked Noel because I had an obsession with playing Female characters, and I like blondes with short hair. I found her tricky to learn to get good with so I played Ragna for a bit, then switched back to her. Then played Makoto when she came out. Then played Valkenhayn when CSII dropped. The whole time I alt'd Ragna. Then I sort of just started playing him more than Valk. Eventually it go to the point where I wasn't picking Valk anymore and I was just playing Ragna. Learning his combos, studying him. Just before Extend came out I "officially" changed mains to him. Now I play him and Alt Lambda because I enjoy how she plays.

Switching Mains after CP trailer... Amane <3

So may I post here twice? I just did, take that. >;3

I played Ky in Guilty Gear, so Jin was the natural progression. Magic swordsmen, to me!!

Usually going for who looks 'cool' rather than a gameplay-oriented decision, though I do have a knack for being attracted to characters with interesting hooks, like Carl. Not that I ever became anything but 'clumsily passable' at playing him. Or Jin for that matter, haha. HADOKEN, HADOKEN, HADOKEN. ICE CAR.

I'll cop to being most interested in Amane among this new batch.

I always play the grappler, SF 4, tekken, soul calibur, guilty gear, marvel, any game, my main has to have a command grab and a ton of health. With that said, tager just wasn't a lot of fun to play, but more importantly he just didn't look aesthetically pleasing, so when I saw bang(who was so much fun to play and so funny to watch) I jumped ship immediately. Im considering subbing azrael in CP.

After seeing Dora, there was no other option: my main have to be bang. A character with mobility, scary mixup, a manly counter( dp are for babies, real man have counters), and his astral . What I don't like about him is his personality and stupid role as a comedy relief.

Waiting to see what his nox will look like.

Well when I first started playing Blazblue I think I had tried just about every character, but sadly I couldn't seem to find anyone that I liked or could use at the time, In fact at a certain point I almost gave up on finding a main [it was so difficult because Blazblue was the first real fighting game I had ever played, and I wasn't sure what I liked]

But then it happened...

On one fateful day I turned my head a little to the left and I saw a beautiful maiden cloaked in both sword and metal alike, and I thought to myself, "Wow she looks cool," so I went for it and tried her out, and I knew deep inside that she was the one for me [Nay, not just her, but zoning itself], and ever since that day Madam Lambda-11/Nu-13 has, will, and always shall be my main [Hopefully T_T].

I was messing about with ragna in CS1 and was finally starting to get the hang of the character when CS2 came out and just completely spoiled my focus. I kept losing to my friends playing scrubby Tager and i just went: "What if i could do it, but better?" And from that point on, I have given bearhugs, i have trapped techs, i have unleashed communist fury but most of all, i have loved. Iron Tager, will you marry me?

Back around December 2010 I was playing CT. Tried Litchi first... because breasts. But didn't really work out. Checked around and found Nu, and found her fun for a while. But in looking at the CS gamerpic packs I saw mention of Mu, and wondered how someone with a similar name to Nu might be...

I looked her up, fell in love (I like blonde-n-blue, and I liked her design, both outfits. even if bare ass is kinda lol, though nice). I was afraid she'd be too complicated with her steins for my nub self to handle, but after an agonizing couple months I got CS(2) for my birthday and fell in love with her gameplay too. Been maining her ever since.

Makoto and Relius have shared the honor, but I no longer play Makoto atm and I acknowledge Relius as a beloved sub. Now if I could just have Bullet... Who's threatening to overtake my dear genocidal cyborg. lol

(and while I'm at it, I'll mention I recently tried out Ragna, Jin, and Noel. I'm best with Ragna, and Jin is mostly just for fun, but Noel's the one I'm subbing. just started on her yesterday lol)

Saw a video review on GT for BBCT, and I took a gamble and bought it. It became my first fighter that I took seriously. Started as Scrubna, was terrible until at some point I thought this 7-foot, samurai-robot with a body-length sword as a weapon was pretty cool.

He's been my main ever since. Dabbled in others as you can see below...

Hmmm...I really should take Jin off that...

Relius: I chose this character because to me he's just a badass villain with a good backstory. Ever since he was introduced in CT it was perfectly clear he was going to be sticking around for a while and learning how to play as him is extremely fun. It also is hilarious when the opponent tries to zone only to eat a 214B.

Iron Tager: To be honest, I thought this character was ass in CT, he just felt slow and clunky and landing any of his command grabs felt like a chore. Then CS1 came around and Tager actually had the tools to get in by making his Sledge Hammer that much faster and truly going through ALL projectiles. It was from that point onward that I dedicated all my time on BB to playing Tager and figuring out how he worked. In EX he is still a powerhouse with the tools to take down many of the cast, possibly moreso than CS2, that is why I'm not dropping him anytime soon.

RAGNYA: He's got the anime hair just the way I like it: white and spiky. So damn fun to play, especially with that gdlk DP. His combos are just so satisfying, too. Whenever I play a different character, something inside of me just screams "WHY THE FUCK AREN'T YOU PLAYING RAGNA?"

TAOCOCKA: Retarded furry that can fly around the screen and be anywhere at any given instant is too good to pass up. When I'm rushin' shit down as Tao, the amount of buttons being pressed makes it feel so intense. Fun to play, and with her levels of movement, she's almost always a good character in any game version.

THE NAYM IS HA-KOO-MAYUN: I love pressing a button and countering my opponent's attacks. It makes me feel so smart. But then in Extend, Hakumen became face-roll easy and does immense damage. So I pretty much gave up on him for now. I JUST WANNA PRESS D!! WHY IS HAKUMEN'S DRIVE SO USELESS NOW, BUT THE REST OF HIS SHIT IS INCREDIBLE??

BBCT was the game that got me wanting to play fightans "seriously". However, I never got past the scrub level until CS. I remember my best (only) Ragna combo was something like 6A->6D->jD->jD->DID

I was playing Murakumo Units until the dlc characters art was leaked. I then saw a character who clashed so badly with the rest of the game I had to play her. Her name was Platinum.

Platinum remained my main until everyone's favorite family man was playable in Extend. Platinum is now my favorite sub. Amane and his amazing run animation is seriously tempting me though. That and his playstyle.

Simple, I picked Hakumen because I like the slow, powerful type of characters. Unfortunately for me, Blazblue only really has two characters who fit that, and the other one is Tager (I'm not really into grapplers.)

...although I'm still hoping that they finally introduce a third. Maybe even a female character? Kokonoe in a mech? I can dream...

Looks like Azreal was created for you.

I started with Haku-men because he had counters, which always appealed to me. When CS came out I messed around with the leaked PC thing and honestly I thought Hazama was a stupid character when I first tried him. Once the game was actually out I still stuck with Haku-men for about a month. Then on a whim I picked up Hazama again and I never went back after learning just how ridiculously complicated he can get.

I tend to gravitate towards characters that have the hardest time winning (that doesn't necessarily mean bottom tier), and are played by the least amount of skilled players. (There's a lot of really bad Hazamas out there....)

I was originally thinking about Carl but Carl is generally always played by super hardcore players and I don't really like playing the characters that are associated with that.
