choysauce Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 I stopped by AI today again to check out more rachel stuff, i don't know if anyone has pointed this out already but, i think the lobelias that are bounced back are active as poles, so you can set them off midair. does anyone know if the bounced lobelias can be winded? maybe we could get flying bat poles lol. but probably not i'm guessing and also sometimes the 5cc air hit doesn't wallbounce, it sends them flying almost like jin's EX DP, but i don't remember if they get the sliding action goin and i noticed when i tried to frog some people, 2b, 5b launches them too high to combo, so i'm guessing we need 3c instead

I didn't mind a lot of the nerfs they gave her since she was too good in CT. The one thing I got really pissed is when they totally nerfed her j.2C. That was her main rush tool, especially against very defensive players, and now she can't rush for crap. I'm still going to use her though. Just hope for some miracle they come out with a BBCS ver. B and they give Rachel some buffs.

Even if she remained super gimped, if 6A and 6B still worked, at least she'd have something good.

I used that move as my primary anti air and surprise launcher.

I'm a Jin player, but watching Rachel vids is painful. But I keep watching to see if they've found anything new at all that might help her game...

Is it going to happen? No. The game's not broken, they won't change it.

Soniti Posted December 7, 2009 Author Posted December 7, 2009 I was under the impression they removed the guard point entirely and just gave it head attribute invulnerability instead... Which means it doesn't eat projectiles anymore.

Haha. :P That sounds more like an overlooked bit of code than anything. It used to require that the poles fully form before they could be activated, but now they activate on 'landing,' which may well apply to bouncing off of or hitting things. By hit, by the way, do you mean hitting the opponent, too? If so, would it be possible to juggle people with streams of 236a/b (j.)214c? Sounds silly and low-damage, even if it works.
