Any suggestions on how to maintain your stick? I recently got a BB PS3 stick and I want to know on how to maintain the quality, instead of buying a new HP3 every year. @Amarxist: That artwork (and stick) is awesome o.o source?

How long do sticks usually take to ship... I ordered a TE a couple weeks ago with UPS Economy shipping and it still hasn't arrived :(

You made a terrible mistake shipping with UPS. They suck. <_< *Works at UPS.*

Hey, everyone! I was hoping I could get a little help for a cheap (under $50, preferably around $30) ps2 stick that I'll used mostly for GG:AC. I'm not looking to make a large investment bc I'm not sure if it'll be something I'll dedicate myself to, and if I decide I'd like to, I'd much rather buy one for a ps3 later. I'm also not looking to customize whatsoever. I'm totally incompetent in these sort of things and I'm only looking for something to experiment with, y'know? The Tekken 5 Hori stick and the Namco Playstation Stick have been mentioned a lot, but they seem rather elusive. Thoughts?

I'm trying so hard not to buy a damn TE... I want to mod one so badly, I'm thinking about selling my customs for one =X All of my WIP sticks got obliterated so a modded TE would be sweet and I could sell my customs for more to get some much needed cash =S I really love your Nu stick, and it's making my decision so much harder -_-

Just throwing out my first lite mod. SE stick with Jin theme. Sanwa joystick and buttons.

The background was supposed to be blue with a bigger image of Jin's face on it, but the damn print shop at my uni printed it too dark (it printed well at the library laser printer though, but only 8.5x11. Supposed to come out like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/Saki_AFA/Net%20pics/jin2.jpg).

Despite how simple it looks, I learned a lot from this one (Krylon vs vinyl dye :vbang:)

I'm really looking into modding, and hope to eventually make my own full custom in the distant future. My next poor subject is probably going to be a TE once I muster up the cash for one.

Yeah, I poped in here when I recognized your name lol. Long story short I was out this past weekend doing interviews, and someone decided to park my truck ON-TOP of the cases that were hanging out to dry :vbang: I'll need to start some more up... But there were 9 sticks total and that consisted of my entire wood supply :psyduck:

Decided that I'm going to mod my TE tad bit. I'm going to change the artwork and get different colored buttons to match.

I threw together this template yesterday after finding this awesome art piece:

I always <3'd ABA (played her in GGXX^C) and that artwork looked too awesome not to use. I'm going to get plexi glass to protect the artwork as well as get black, red, and yellow sanwa buttons with a yellow ball top for it all the match. Price is coming to $60 altogether for the mod.

Keep in mind, those colors are a bit skewed since the photoshop file is in CMYK and not RGB (since I plan to get it printed).

I just see a Red "X"

I love the sanwa red and yellow together though, be curious to see what it looks like with the black too!

Are you printing it yourself then? I thought most places used sRGB :psyduck:

Hey can someone help me! I'm thinking of buying another stick. I'm using standard mayflash right now. I dont really have any with moddig sticks so I dont know how to mod it and I think having 2 sticks is good beacuse if the other breaks up, you can use the other one. I dont want to put too much money on it, so I thought that the stick would either be hori fight stick 3 or SFIV fight stick. Wich one do you think is the better overall stick?

game-wise, this is the wrong forum to ask this. But it is about joysticks so here goes. The PS3 Tekken 6 LE bundle comes with a wireless ps3 stick for $150. the game is $60, artbooks dont count, so I'd be paying $90 for the stick. Is it a worthy investment? I already have an HRAP2 with converter, but a wireless stick would be nice and I'd have two sticks for gatherings. What kind of parts are in the stick? is it a good stick? how about the wireless thing? batteries? chargeable? lag? Please help soon because I need to decide soon whether to get it or not.

No idea on the parts on that stick yet, we'll have to wait and see. It'd be nice if we knew what parts were in it (Sanwa or hori).

^^ Seems like it would be hori setup as a standard sanwa joystick/buttons typically runs between $50-$60... I honestly don't think a stick that comes in a package with a $60 game that only costs $150 together would have the same parts as a stick that soely costs as much as much as the complete bundle itself. I think the real question is whether its going to be easily moddable like say the SFIV SE sticks, or a complete pain in the ass like the hori EX2's

I come here asking for tips. I don't know where to start, so just try to follow along here. I've been a DualShock monkey for quite some time. After going to a number of local GG tourneys, I realized that most people played on stick. Long story short, I started chatting it up with the players, and they motivated me, along with the lurking on this board, to invest in a stick. Picked up a HRAP2SA and played with it for a good two weeks. It's been a good year since those events took place. Between then and the release of BB, the stick's been gathering dust under my bed. This is mostly due to the fact that I am terrible on stick. But, I decided to give it another shot, using BB as the catalyst. My problems stood the same. The buttons are freakin' fantastic in terms of helping me link stuff that are relatively impossible for me to do on a pad. The stick, itself, on the other hand, has been boning me. Seriously. I consider myself lucky if a dash comes out when I want it to, let alone specials and the like. I guess this is where my question starts. What kind of mindset do I need to control my left hand with? When I play in arcades, I tend to ride the circular rails with the stick. Doing this on the HRAP square gate seriously fudges with me when it comes to simple stuff like IADs and 236's. Hell, there are times when I try to dash in practice mode, and the input display says I only hit 6 once. It's beginning to get really frustrating, especially when I take Noel online and get into a clutch, dying to get a distortion out only to find that the resulting input was a whiffed 6D. Am I using the stick wrong? I've been using this thing since BB's release and I've seen very little improvement since then. Help, Dustloop! Help me!
