Although on the plus side they can take this time to add in characters, which may or may not be the reason the game was delayed. We still have yet to learn who the remaining on-disc character is (people claiming it was Boss Saiki were proven false), and whether EX Kyo and Mr. Karate are the legit 2 other DLC characters.

They won't, and it wasn't. It took them almost a month to develop a character when they had a full development team, which they definitely do not have right now. Also, if they were planning on making more characters, they would release the game first, and then sell them as DLC later. That would make a lot more sense financially for them, as it would get them a decent influx of cash from the game sales to keep funding up, and also avoid pushing the release date back, which right now is looking like a catastrophic mistake. Keep in mind Nov22 is a week after UMvC3 and the same day as Tekken Hybrid. That's about the worst release date you could hope for. and whether EX Kyo and Mr. Karate are the legit 2 other DLC characters. They are. Look at the blurred magazine scans and look at the revealed portraits, they're identical.

I guess SNK Playmore wants to avoid new players and to stick with its core audience. Hopefully, KOFXIII will get showered with glowing reviews and fantastic sales to save it from the bargain bin.

Dingofist Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Might be a dumb question, but, how do the combos work/feel in this game? Are they more like GG or BB with like quick gatling-esque cancels, or more like Street Fighter where you have links and other nonsense going on?
