advancedNoob Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Hmmmm, why aren't they looking at Valk? His damage, mobility, mixup and range are crazy good. His only weakness is a lack of reversal...
BatousaiJ Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Hmmmm, why aren't they looking at Valk? His damage, mobility, mixup and range are crazy good. His only weakness is a lack of reversal... Quiet, you! *shakes fist* He simply hasn't been out long enough for them to consider any balance changes I reckon. Once people truly understand the match-up and the Valk users themselves begin utilizing all of his tools properly, we can talk then.
Synthesis Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 They see you trollinnnnnn'. You hatinnnnn'. Patrollinnnn' cuz 2A is no longer dirtayyyy. 2A is no longer dirrtayyyyy. 2A is no longer dirtayyyyyy. 2A IS NO LONGER DIR- 2A is no longer dirrtayyyyyy. :P Marry me, Zong. Stay GDLK.
Dragkonias Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Yeah. Not to mention you have to remember it does go both ways. People still need practice with him, but people still need practice against him too. Who knows how he'll balance out once his shenanigans are properly understood.
farranpoison Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Hold on, why is Jin sekkajin having less pushback a nerf? If anything, it's a buff, because you don't have to be right in their faces to land all the hits.
SimpleKiss Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Where was the notes about the Hakumen Drive nerfs? I didn't see them in the OP. Sigh. Not sure how I feel about them yet. I dont think these changes are in the right direction for H-Man. about 70-80% of the people posting in this thread dont belong here. They'd be better off at GameFAQS. Stay free, dustloop.
zreb Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 It was in the news post. This was the only note. - Can't followup after 5D, jD, 6D.
VietGeek Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 No matter what happens, we make it work... then LOL when we win and LOL even harder when we lose. Well Mori is just trying to educate us. October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
Blade Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Yeah, it means that a ground Gauntlet Hades can be followed up. With moves. As in you can combo after it. Pretty sure you could do 5B>Inferno Divider or 5C>whatever or 5B>6A in corner after ground Gauntlet Hades even now...so I don't really see what changed. If I'm wrong I'm wrong but...again, don't see what the big change is.
farranpoison Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Blade, they're talking about the first loketest where GH couldn't be followed up with any move to combo, since the last hit of GH had too little hitstun. So basically, Loketest #2 GH is back to its old CS self.
HiagoX Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Just to let you guys know, it seems like they lowered the recovery after some of Litchi's D moves.
Skye Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Arakune - Bird jump cancel still there, but hard to do (?) - D bug will hit Mu while rising now. Looks good.
Justice7541 Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Bang - Furinkazan backwards movement is shorter. Well that makes sense I guess, if his forward FRKZ dash was short too he would be top tier even with all the other nerfs. Also I reiterate that Jin was getting buffs in CS1 loketests too that didn't stick, so whoever is raging/celebrating should probably take everything with a grain of salt.
eirei Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Ragna - 3C 22C works again. Noel - 6C second hit wallslams (they fall straight down). Added in same-move proration (second hit only?) - Assault Through has less slide time. Litchi - jC has less hitstun. - 2D, 5D less recovery. - j2D second hit pulls in a small amount. - ItsuuA loses staff on block. ( ◕ ω ◕ ) Bang - jD has more proration, better to 2C and oki than try to combo after it. - 2D jump cancelable on block. - Less proration on 623B. Hakumen - Added same-move proration to 6C, but less normal proration. - Can no longer combo from CA. Hazama - jC only jump cancelable on first and second hits (3rd, 4th, 5th are impossible).
ZONG_one Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 You should take everything about everything with a grain of salt, when it comes to loketests.
Jourdal Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Brazilian translators are faster. i lol'd, gogogogo nationalism. You seem to be the only one who remembers it that way but w/e, he's not "broken" this time around. I remember 5B,jB nerfs, recovery added to DPs and projectiles. J236D shooting 2 instead of 3, j214B having no knockdown etc

Bang - jD has more proration, better to 2C and oki than try to combo after it. - 2D jump cancelable on block. - Less proration on 623B. Lol at that. If I'm not mistaken, j.D got prorated to hell in CS compared to CT already.

BatousaiJ Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 You should take everything about everything with a grain of salt, when it comes to loketests. Do what I do. Everytime I read a new piece of info about the loktest, I take a sip of water. From the dead seas.
