Still no opinions of tao? lt's like she took a huuuuge dive in popularity since CS (I even stopped playing her.). lt's a shock that l rarely even see a tao on DL, l see every other char.

l mean, how will she play now? She was always low-tier, but her damage was always frightening. Now that it may be piss poor, what is going to happen to her? Will she be the least played char?

I stopped playing Tao because of the changed combo ender. I'll probably play her again because of the new j.B.

imo tao just needs a bit les damage but still very good damage... and shorter combos.

l don't hate her loops, l hate the boring ass length. l'd say she's the classic low tier char that can still be devastating, much like johnny and koichi's ino from gg.

But Taokaka was mid tier in CT and high tier in CS.

Something about being surprised/impressed that Rachel got like consecutive 4000 combos despite (slow?) wind meter gain?

SJ, there's a huge difference between changing a character's gameplay mechanics and just severely nerfing a character. We aren't going to get a new loop out of this.

FFS, if you're half-competent, you can jump away and block and worse case scenario, you get locked down and eat around 5.5k. And that's against a very good Ara. I get less than that. The point is, if you play against Ara like Spirit juice does, running through clouds into the corner and staying on the ground trying to block his mixup, you're gonna get whooped.

Now, without even taking the new propation increase into consideration, the loop will probably do 3.5k as opposed to 5.5k. Less than a Belial edge combo. Ontop of that, Ara is weaker precurse, so ontop of that, it's harder to get curse. They should of nerfed curse or precurse a lot. Not both.

according to Severin, it has something to do with lv3 j2C being able to lead into 4000

Best I could get from that is: lvl3 j.2C combos left a good impression. (?)

They were up to 4k in the second part (?) of the combo *shudder*.

It looks like she can do more stuff, however (something about wind recover)

i wasn't around during that so i was unaware =O also the whole ending every statement with stay free gets old when everyone on DL does it ._. less impact...

uh actually you were one of the biggest whiners on the forums when that happened along with skye.

despite getting 6A and 5C being more retarded.

I don't really see these "buffs" doing much. Sekkajin will be nice, but that's all I'm looking forward to. Being able to mash more should be fun.

I'm scared as shit of new Rachel. God help us all.

5C has huge enough range that a bit of range decrease won't really affect it. As for 6A, Jin's never needed an overhead to be broke, I don't see why he suddenly needs one now.

not sure any of u mentioned this before, they hav slightly changed Guard Break

so now after Guard Break

- no initial combo damage proration

- even normal throw is untechable

also the way Guard primer decreases when u do Blue burst becomes

5->3 to 5->2, it takes the floor value rather than ceiling

these changes make guard break slightly more important in my opnion

Anyway, somebody mentioned earlier about Hakumen having 6 primers. Since 2nd loketest he has 5 primers.

i think the primers are a significant change, if most people are down to 5 now, one burst and youre at 2, thats pretty easy to break. so that means people are going to drain their barrier keeping from getting broken, bringing danger back into play or get guard crushed which will lead to much more painful combos. the no proration helps everyone and the no grab tech makes tager breaking a guard worthwhile! (i was so sad the first time i got purple !!s grabbing off of guard crush in CS!)

i like that it brings the to burst or not to burst mentality from CT back to a degree (not as bad as it was in CT though, thank god) because bursting puts you in a scarier position (and double bursting will leave everyone at 1 primer except tager who gets to keep 2)
